ARTIFICIAL HUMAN NUMBER 18
Home Planet: Earth
Race: Organic Artificial Human
Fusions: None
Appearances: Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT

One of several Jinzouningen created to take revenge on Son Goku after he defeated the Red Ribbon Army, Number 18 is the sister of Number 17. Aside from Number 20, the two of them are believed to be the only Artificial Humans created from a human base, rather than being completely machine (like Numbers 8, 13-16, and 19).

Numbers 17 and 18 were two human twins who were kidnapped by Dr. Gero and converted to Artificial Humans. They can no longer remember their past, but nonetheless, they hate Dr. Gero because they do remember what he did. In Trunks' future, Number 17 kills Dr. Gero and then the two of them escape and wreak havoc just for fun. In the current timeline, Number 17 again kills Dr. Gero, but the Artificial Humans aren't quite as quick to run out and start killing people.

In both timelines, Number 18 is more or less your average girl, except with incredible strength and, in Trunks' timeline, insatiable blood lust. She loves shopping and looking for clothes and she's not a huge fan of Number 17's idea to go for a drive through the woods while they're looking for Goku, nor can she understand why he enjoys it so much.

When the Z Senshi show up at Dr. Gero's lab, Trunks decides it'd be a good idea to blow everything up for some reason. The Artificial Humans are, of course, not hurt. They free Number 16, another Artificial Human who didn't exist in Trunks' timeline, and run off together to go kill Goku, who is currently at home, dying of heart disease.

Vegeta chases after them and when he catches up, it's Number 18 who steps up to fight him. She toys with him for a while and he actually seems to be matched up pretty well against her, until she gets serious and utterly beats the crap out of him. The other Z Senshi interfere and Number 17 steps in, and long story short, the Z Senshi are left thanking Kamisama that Kuririn had a bag of senzu while the Jinzouningen run off to steal a van and take a nice little road trip to Mt. Paozu.

Nothing much really happens to the Artificial Humans for a while. However, while they're on their road trip, Cell shows up and begins killing people, and you all know how that goes. Anyway, eventually, they reach Mt. Paozu and find that Son Goku is not there. Number 18 tries on some of Chichi's clothes and hates them all, so they head to Kame House. When they arrive, Goku is already gone, up at God's Palace to train in the Room of Spirit and Time. Piccolo steps up to take them on and goes one on one with Number 17.

After a while, Cell senses Piccolo's ki and shows up at the battle. Piccolo, Number 17, and eventually, Number 16 put up some resistance, but in the end, Cell breaks Piccolo's neck and absorbs Number 17, then blows a chunk out of Number 16's head after transforming. While Tenshinhan holds Cell off with some Shin Kikohou attacks, Numbers 16 and 18 escape. However, it's only a delay, not a defeat for Cell. After tangling with Vegeta and not doing too well, Cell entices Vegeta with talk of a Perfect Body, and Vegeta allows Cell to go absorb Number 18. Again, resistance, this time with help from Trunks and Kuririn, but with a Taiyo-ken, Cell is able to get past them all and absorb Number 18.

So well, floating around inside of Cell, Number 18 can't do much for a while.

At the Cell Game, Super Saiya-jin 2 Gohan effortlessly beats Perfect Cell around, and eventually, Cell's body begins to break down. The first thing to go? Number 18. After she's regurgitated, more or less intact but soaked in saliva, Kuririn rescues her and she later regains consciousness at God's Palace after the Cell Game is over.

Skip ahead seven years. The Z Senshi all come together again for the Tenkaichi Budokai and we find that somewhere along the line, Kuririn and Number 18 got married and had a daughter, Marron. Kuririn and Number 18 both participate in the Tenkaichi Budokai, and when everyone else leaves, including Kuririn, to follow Kaioushin, Number 18 stays behind. She makes it to the very end, fighting one on one with Mr. Satan after a Battle Royale that threw her up against Mighty Mask, the disguised Goten and Trunks, but rather than defeating Satan, she bribes him for double the prize money and throws the fight.

So then, everyone runs off to gather the Dragon Balls while Vegeta is killing himself, Goku is unconscious, and Piccolo and Kuririn, with Goten and Trunks in hand, are running like hell. Following that, they all go to God's Palace, and Number 18 more or less just sits around for a while until Buu shows up and kills everyone there.

So yeah, Number 18 is gone for a while again.

During the final battle with Buu, Vegeta makes a long distance wish to Porunga, the Namek-sei dragon, to have all good people on Earth resurrected, and Number 18 is one of them. She donates her energy to Goku's Genki Dama and hangs around for all the post-Buu festivities, but more or less just sits in the background now.

Again, she's out of it for a while. Finally, the time comes for her "last hurrah," per se, when she fights alongside Son Goku against Super 17 in Dragon Ball GT after Kuririn is killed. After that whole thing is over, she again fades into the background and never plays a prominent role again.
