The Debut of the Champion and Lover of Justice, the Great Saiyaman
Kintoun flies by Capsule Corporation, dropping of Son Gohan. Bulma smokes a cigarette inside. "Hmm? You want to perfectly transform so that no one will know who you are?" Gohan, "Yeah, I thought you'd have a good idea, so I came here. Is there a way?" Bulma, "Of course there is. After all, I'm a genius. All I have to do is particlize a transformation suit like we do with capsules, and then you can wear it whenever you want." Gohan jumps up. "Really? Please, then." Bulma, "That's just like you. Not being able to let evil doers get away. Okay, I'll do it. Just wait about two hours." She puts her cigarette into the ash tray. Gohan, "You can do it in two hours? Thank you very much." Bulma, "Wait just a bit." Gohan, "Where's Trunks? It's boring just waiting." Bulma, "Trunks-kun is probably with Vegeta, training in the gravity room." Gohan, "Eh? Vegeta-san?" Bulma, "He said Trunks-kun was about the right age to start toughing up for real, so he's teaching him fighting techniques. It looks like he wants Trunks-kun to be stronger than you, Gohan." Gohan smiles. "That's scary."
Gohan wanders the halls and eventually finds Trunks drying his face in front of a mirror. "Yo, Trunks." Trunks drops his towel and turns around. "Ah, Gohan-san! When'd you get here?" Gohan, "I just got here." He bends down. "I heard your dad is training you." Trunks, "Yep!" Just then, a metal door slides open and Vegeta walks out. Gohan straightens up, watching him. Vegeta walks out silently, staring back at Gohan. "Uh, Hello, Vegeta-san." Vegeta stops. "Gohan, you're wasting your body. No matter how peaceful the world is, you should still train." Gohan, "Uh, yeah." Vegeta walks away. Trunks jumps up. "Hey, what should we play?" Gohan looks back down at him. "Ah."
The sun hangs low in the sky. Bulma, "Gohan-kun, it's done." Gohan straps on the watch while Bulma and Trunks watch. Trunks' mouth hangs open in a wide grin. "All I have to do is push this red switch, right?" Bulma, "That's right." Trunks, "That's neat. Mom, make me one, too." Gohan hits the button. A glowing light surrounds him as the clothes materialize. An orange helmet with a tinted visor and two antennae, a green shirt over a black tunic with an orange cape, with black pants and white boots somewhat like the boots worn with the armor that was issued to Saiya-jin. Gohan looks in the mirror. "This is pretty cool." Bulma, "See?" Gohan, "This is really cool." He poses for himself in the mirror. Trunks says softly, "I don't need one after all."
Kintoun slowly lifts into the air, carrying Gohan. He waves to Trunks and Bulma in the doorway of Capsule Corporation. "Thank you very much!" Trunks, "Come back again! Bye bye!" Gohan, "Bye bye!" Kintoun speeds away. "Let's go home, Kintoun. It's late, so go as fast as you can." Gohan smiles, enjoying the ride above the clouds. "No one will suspect it's me." Gohan, "I know. If I transform, I can fly myself to school a lot faster." He stands up. "If you think I'm lying, we'll have a race, Kintoun." He transforms, then jumps up, flying right above Kintoun. "Here I go!" He powers up and flies off. Kintoun keeps up pretty well with him, though. Gohan finally begins to get a good lead. "What's wrong, Kintoun? I'm going a lot faster!" Another city appears below him. He looks back. "I've already gotten to Satan City." He looks around below. "No one will know it's me." Suddenly, he notices something going on in the street below him. "Crazy Driver: Discovered!" He heads toward the street.
Two men sit in a yellow car that weaves between the lanes. Driver, "Hey, hey, hey, get out of the way!" Passenger, "Show them how it's done!" He laughs. Gohan drops down from the sky. "I'm already transformed, but... TRANSFORM!" He lands in front of the car. They slam on the breaks and screech to a stop right in front of Gohan. Driver, "Asshole! Do you want to die?" Passenger, "Where the hell did you come from?" Gohan, "You shouldn't drive like that. You could have killed someone." He holds his arm out, pointing at them. "Promise me you won't drive like that in the city." Driver, "What the hell? Dressed up like an idiot, you crazy bastard. Who the hell are you?" They both get out of the car and advance on him. Gohan, "Huh? Who am I...? Let's see..." He rubs his chin. Driver, "What is he?" Passenger, "A freak." Gohan, "That's it! I'm the Lover of Justice, the Great Saiyaman!" The driver stares at him with an odd look. His cigarette falls out of his mouth. "Great Saiyaman?" The passenger looks at him silently, his eyebrows going up. They look at each other, then burst out laughing. Driver, "Not only is he dressed up stupid, he's got a stupid name!" Passenger, "What a geek! Let's get him!" Gohan gets angrier and angrier. "DON'T MAKE FUN OF ME!" He stomps his foot on the ground, cracking the pavement. The two men suddenly stop and stare at the ruined street. He stomps again, breaking up the street so badly that half the car begins to sink into the ground. "I thought hard about that name!!" They look back at their car, then at the Great Saiyaman. Driver, "I'm sorry! Now that I've thought about it, that's a cool name!" Passenger, "We'll drive safely from now on!" Gohan smiles. He lifts their car out of the hole it had partially fallen into, which of course, scares them some more. They stare at him, amazed.
The passenger hangs out the window. "Goodbye, Great Saiyaman!" Gohan smiles as they drive off. Passenger, "Drive safely!" Driver, "That's right..." Gohan, "They understand the difference between good and bad now." Behind him, a crowd has gathered and looks on in silence.
Chichi screams. "Where did you get those clothes?!" Gohan, "Don't you like them, Mother?" Chichi washes dishes while Gohan stands behind her in the kitchen, still in Great Saiyaman uniform. "Sometimes, you're just like Goku-san!" Gohan scratches his head (actually, his helmet). A tiny Son Goku lookalike walks into the room, toting a large fish. "I'm home, Mom." He sees Gohan. "Ah! Brother, you look cool!" Gohan, "You think so, Goten?" Goten smiles up at him with the fish still slung over his shoulder.
"I'm going to school!" Gohan walks out the door of the Son home. Chichi and Goten follow him out. Goten, "Have a good time." Chichi, "Gohan, go straight to school and watch out for airplanes." Gohan nods. "Right." Gohan hits the little switch on his watch and transforms into the Great Saiyaman with a chuckle. Goten, "That's really neat, you look cool." He walks up to Gohan, and Gohan bends down to his level. "That's right. When you're old enough, I'll ask Bulma-san to make you one, too." He stands up and walks away. "Goodbye." He flies off, yelling back at Goten, "I don't need it anymore, so you can ride Kintoun!" Chichi watches him go. "He looks so happy. He practiced transforming all night last night." Goten holds his arms up. "You look cool!" Narrator, "This little kid who looks just like Goku is Goten. This is Goku's second child, who was left behind by Goku right before the Cell Game."
Gohan, "I should be able to get there in 20 minutes like this." He smiles, flying over a forest. Finally, he reaches Satan City. He continues past the billboard, looking at the ground passing below him. He lands on the school roof, then runs behind a wall to change out of his Great Saiyaman disguise. He walks out from behind the corner. "This is great. Now I'll be able to sleep in a little longer." He enters the school through a door on the roof and starts down the stairs.
Teacher, "...therefore, the new type of energy is very unwieldy." Sharpener sits with his arms crossed, Videl leans up against the table, Eliza leans back in her chair, and Gohan actually seems to be taking some notes. In front of Gohan, two boys talk. Black haired boy, "Hey, did you hear? A new Champion of Justice showed up yesterday. He's not the Golden Haired Warrior." The red haired boy smiles. "I heard." Gohan, "They're talking about me." Black haired boy, "He's dressed badly, but he's very strong. I think his name is Great Tireman." ["Gureeto Taiyaman" vs. "Gureeto Saiyaman," see?] Gohan interrupts them. "You're wrong! It's Great Saiyaman!" Everyone suddenly turns to him. "Huh?" Black haired boy, "How'd you know?" Gohan, "Uh, I heard it from someone who was there." Teacher, "Do you mind if we continue class, Son Gohan-kun?" Gohan suddenly shrinks back into his seat. "Yeah." Videl stares at him silently, when suddenly her wrist begins to beep. She looks down at her watch; Gohan turns to look, too. "Yes, this is Videl." Voice, "Come immediately, there's a bus-jacking going on!"
The police have the bus surrounded. Inside, a couple men with guns hold everyone hostage. Officer (into the phone), "A group of three has taken a senior citizen tour bus hostage and are threatening the lives of the hostages if their demands are not met." Suddenly, they all duck as a spray of bullets erupts. Shooting man, "Hurry up and bring the bag full of money or these old men and women will be dead!" Voice, "Please help!" Videl, "Roger, I'm leaving now." She runs out. "Teacher, I have to leave." Teacher, "Do your best, Videl."
Gohan turns to Eliza.
"What just happened with Videl?" Eliza, "Videl's
hobby is being a champion of justice." Gohan, "Eh? A
champion of justice?" Eliza, "She's the true daughter
of Mr. Satan, who saved the Earth. She's strong, so the police
often ask for her help." Gohan, "What? Her?"
Sharpener laughs. "Don't underestimate Videl. She's a lot
stronger than me. She's strong enough to fight Mr. Satan."
Gohan, "Strong enough to fight Mr. Satan?"
Mr. Satan steps onto the stage at Cell's Game. He steps forward,
but Cell quickly swats him out of the ring, sending him flying
several hundred feet into a cliffside. He pictures Videl.
"This could be dangerous if she's like Mr. Satan."
He stands up and walks out. Teacher, "Hey, you!" Gohan, "I've got to go to the bathroom." He walks out onto the roof and hides behind a wall. "Transform!" He hits the button and turns into the Great Saiyaman. He does his little dance, then takes off from the roof of the school. After rising several hundred feet into the air, he realizes he's missing one important piece of information. "Where's the bus terminal?"
The terrorists load up their money. One of them turns to another. "Boss, we've got everything now." The boss chuckles. Police, "We've given you the blood money you asked for, now free the hostages!" The man laughs. "Fools!" He begins firing a machine gun at them. They duck behind cars, but he manages to shoot out the tires on the squad cars. "Let's move!" Lacky, "Okay." The bus begins moving forward, smashing through police cars and causing officers to scatter. A line of officers prepares to shoot at the bus. "Don't fire! You might hit the hostages!" One of the terrorists throws his arm into the air, cheering. Old woman, "We've started at last. I wonder where they're taking us." Old man, "I don't know, this is my first kidnapping." Old man 2, "I hope this doesn't take too long." Old woman 2, "Will you pose for a picture?" She picks up her camera.
One of the terrorists spins around, aiming his gun at them. "Shut up! Don't forget, you're hostages!" Woman, "Say cheese!" The driver turns to be in the picture too, and she snaps it. Terrorist, "You idiot, don't take your eyes off the road!" A whole army of squad cars follows the bus out of the city. The boss leans out a window and fires his machine gun at them. One of the cars flips and they all crash into each other. An officer jumps out. "Damn!"
A yellow helicopter speeds over the highway. The officers turn around. "That's Videl's copter!" They wave at her and shout her name in unison. She waves back as she passes over. One of the terrorists notices Videl's helicopter in the side mirror. "Boss, above us!" Boss, "What?" He leans out the window and begins firing, but Videl avoids the shots. Old man, "It's the Champion of Justice, Videl-san! Grandma, take a picture." The old woman raises her camera again. The boss resumes firing, but still doesn't hit her. She pulls ahead of the bus and flies low.
A lone figure flies through the air far above and behind the bus and Videl. The Great Saiyaman smiles. "There they are." Videl flies just above the bus. She opens the door and leans out the side of the helicopter. She jumps onto the roof of the bus. Gohan, "She's not doing too badly." Videl begins to run forward, but the boss shoots up through the roof in front of her. She stops and runs the other way. The boss shoots that way, and Videl barely stays ahead of the shots. He runs out of bullets. "Damn it!" He reaches into his pocket to get some more, but before he can load the gun again, Videl swings in through a window.
She kicks him and he bounces back. She begins fighting two of the terrorists while the third drives. The old people in the back watch, and of course, the woman has her camera out. "Over there, Videl-san!" The driver gets hit. Videl screams and beats up on the boss and the other guy. Finally, it's over. Videl stands up, victorious. The dust settles, the terrorists are unconscious. "Way to go, Videl!" Old woman, "Can I take one for a souvenir?" She snaps a photo while Videl poses.
Man, "The bus!!" Videl spins around and sees that they're about to fly off a cliff. She can't stop the bus before it goes over. They plummet down the side of the cliff. The old people scream. Videl covers her eyes. Screaming. Eyes-covering. The bus suddenly slows, then stops completely. Videl looks around. "That can't be." She looks out the window and sees the Great Saiyaman holding the bus. He smiles up at her. Cheers go up inside.
The bus sits safely on the ground. The terrorists are tied up. The old people and Videl stand nearby. Old woman, "That was fun." Old man, "It was a tour of hell." Videl steps forward. She asks the Great Saiyaman, "Who are you?" The Great Saiyaman, "I am the Hater of Evil, the Champion of Justice... the Great Saiyaman!" As he goes through his short speech, he also does a little dance to accompany it. "That's it! That's perfect!" Videl stares at him, confused. "That's ugly. So that's the Great Saiyaman." The Great Saiyaman straightens up again. "Farewell, Videl." He jumps into the air and flies away. Videl, "Huh? How did he know my name?!" She watches him fly away. The crowd waves as he leaves.
