Gohan, You Must Move Quickly! Save Videl!!

Birds chirp. It's a bright morning at Mt. Paozu. "Bye!" Son Gohan runs out of his house and takes off into the sky. He looks at his watch, hits a small button, and transforms into the Great Saiyaman. "Brother!!" The Great Saiyaman looks back. "Hm?" He sees Son Goten following him on Kintoun. "Have a nice day, brother!" Great Saiyaman, "Goten, you've learned to ride the Kintoun pretty well." Goten laughs. "Brother, you look cool!" The Great Saiyaman chuckles and waves. "See you!" He speeds up as Goten waves back. "Bye bye!"

The Great Saiyaman races over Satan City towards Orange Star High School. "Thank goodness for this transformation device. Now I don't have to worry about being late for school." Something suddenly catches his attention, and he looks to his left. "What's that?"

Videl watches him through the window of her helicopter/aircar/whatever. "That's the Great Saiyaman." Great Saiyaman, "That's Videl-san. I can't let her see me fly to school dressed like this. Oh well." He starts to lead her away, passing over the school. Videl gives chase, and the Great Saiyaman leads her around the city. He passes into the clouds, and Videl quickly breaks through right behind him. "I won't let you get away!" The Great Saiyaman looks back at her. "What are you thinking? Can't you leave me in peace?"

The Great Saiyaman speeds up and she follows suit. He dives toward the Earth, she follows. He races down the street, only about a meter or so above the ground, startling pedestrians. Videl follows, nearly crashing into the street below as she levels out. The Great Saiyaman darts around a corner; a car moving down the street veers back and forth, trying to avoid an accident. The Great Saiyaman looks back as he continues down the street. Videl still pursues; her vehicle throws up dust and debris behind her. "I'm going to find out who you are today!!" They continue down the city streets. The Great Saiyaman finally looks forward again after watching Videl for several seconds. He suddenly stops and turns around to face her. She gasps and struggles to stop. Just as she should run into the Great Saiyaman, he disappears. Videl continues to tumble down the street, out of control. Finally, she comes to a stop, completely shaken. She looks around.

The Great Saiyaman peers around from behind a tree. A woman walking with her children stares at him. "She chased me pretty far from school. If I don't hurry, I'll be late for school. He suddenly steps back as a huge cloud of dust is thrown up in front of him. He chuckles nervously, watching Videl land only a few feet away. When she's on the ground, Videl walks up to him. "Good morning." The Great Saiyaman, still surprised, responds, "Good morning, Videl-san. How did you find me?" Videl approaches him. "It was easy to spot that bright costume." The Great Saiyaman looks down at his clothes, but doesn't have long, as Videl suddenly jumps right in his face. "Who in the world are you?" The Great Saiyaman fumbles and spins around, facing his back to her. "Uh, I thought I'd already told you." He speaks as he walks away from her. "I am the Hater of Evil, the Champion of Justice..." He spin-jumps and does his pose. "I'm the Great Saiyaman!" Videl remains unamused, her arms crossed and her expression cold. "Don't screw with me." Great Saiyaman, "I'm not." Videl, "Your costume is pretty ugly, but you can fly and you're strong. I don't think you're a normal human!" The Great Saiyaman faces his back to her once again. He scratches his chin. "Now that I live with normal people, I can't let my real identity be discovered."

Videl looks around his shoulder. "Is it a secret?" Great Saiyaman, "Uh, it is." He turns away, but she walks around to face him again. "That just makes me want to find out who you are even more." The Great Saiyaman is silent for a moment, then suddenly looks up and screams. Videl looks up. "Huh?" The Great Saiyaman jumps into the air, landing right next to her aircar...whatever thing. He lifts it above his head with one arm. "Hey, you!" Great Saiyaman, "Sorry." He flies away, carrying her car with him. Videl runs out into the street, watching him. "What are you doing?! What do you think you're doing?!" The Great Saiyaman lands on top of a nearby building. He drops the car and looks over the edge. "I'll leave it here. See you later!" He waves his arms. "No, no. Farewell!" He turns and flies away, leaving an angry Videl. "I'll find out who he is!"

The bell rings at Orange Star High School. A classroom door is flung open and Videl hurries inside. "Sorry I'm late!" The teacher looks up. "No problem Videl-kun, you've got so many other things to keep you busy. Please take your seat." Videl, "Right." She turns and walks to her chair. Son Gohan suddenly realizes he's staring. He turns away, burying his face in a book. Eliza, "Did an incident happen this early in the morning?" Videl, "Something like that." She looks over at Gohan, who struggles to keep from drawing attention to himself. "Hm?" Sharpener, "You can't help being late, but it's rare that Gohan is late." Videl, "Huh? Gohan-kun was late, too?" Sharpener, "He just got here." Gohan looks up from his book. "Uh, I slept in too late." He laughs nervously. Videl looks away. "The Great Saiyaman was heading toward the school." Gohan still laughs nervously. "Suspicious."

The news is on at Mr. Satan's house. "Again due to the Great Saiyaman's actions, the train station was saved." The crowd on TV waves happily as the Great Saiyaman flies by overhead. Reporter, "He's Satan City's new hero, the Great Saiyaman." Mr. Satan sits on the couch holding a glass in his hand. "Hmph. What's he talking about, a new hero. Compared to me, he still hasn't done anything." Mr. Satan laughs.

The bell rings at the school. Gohan walks through the halls alone as crowds around him talk. A car speeds down the street; the police chase them, sirens blaring. The car turns and races toward the school. Gohan stops to watch. The two cars run side by side. Criminal, "What's wrong?" He laughs. The police car pulls up beside the other car again. The car carrying the two criminals bumps it, and it smashes into a nearby building. The other car stops and the two criminals jump out. One laughs. "Boss, Satan City's police are nothing." The other agrees. "If our boss shows up, the police won't be able to do a thing about him. Let's make our report to the boss." They both laugh.

Son Gohan approaches from behind them. "You shouldn't drive wildly like that." They both look back at him. "Huh?" The second criminal, "What are you talking about, kid?" They both walk up to him. First one, "Boss, he's a high school student." Second, "You're pretty rude for being a kid. I'll teach you to mess with the Red Rock Gang!" He grabs Gohan by the shirt. Gohan looks up at him angrily. A crowd of high school students watches from nearby. Videl suddenly shows up. "Gohan-kun!" Gohan, "You can't drive like that." The man tries to punch him, but Gohan dodges it. Another, dodged. Videl gasps. "Too bad..." He suddenly notices Videl. "Huh? Videl-san!" He turns back to the gang members, only to see a fist flying at his face. He grunts and falls back. Videl screams. "Damn it!" She races forward and kicks the man in the side of the face. He screams and falls over. The first one runs up to him. "Boss!" Videl glares at him and he looks up at her. "That's...!" He jumps up and grabs the unconscious man by the feet to drag him to the car. "You're going to pay!" They get in the car and drive away.

Videl runs over to Gohan, who brushes himself off. "Gohan-kun, are you okay?!" The man screams, "Idiots!" as they drive away. Gohan turns to Videl. "I'm fine." Videl, "Huh? But you took that punch right in the face." Gohan turns away from her, smiling. "It looks like he wasn't that strong." He laughs nervously. Videl looks down. "I'm sorry. I thought that if you were the Great Saiyaman, you'd easily be able to defeat them, so I stayed back and watched." Gohan, "Eh? Me?" Videl, "I was mistaken. If I was a little later, you could have gotten in a lot of trouble." She looks back up at him, smiling. "But I'm happy that you're okay!" Gohan smiles. "Yeah. Oops. Videl-san almost figured me out."

The other criminal is now conscious again. First one, "That girl was Mr. Satan's daughter. I've heard that she's incredibly strong." Second guy, "I've heard that, too." He looks down at his hand. "But I think I broke my hand when I hit that brat." First, "Eh?" Second, "Damn, that kid's got a tough face." They continue down the street.

Class continues normally at Orange Star High School. Gohan watches as Videl and Eliza talk. Eliza, "And then he went to the same store that I always go to. And then those boys..." Videls watch suddenly starts beeping. Videl raises her wrist to her mouth. "Yes, this is Videl." Gohan looks over at her. Watch, "Terrorists have taken the Mayor hostage!" Videl gasps as Gohan stares at her.

A police car pulls up at the already-crowded scene at the Mayor's house. Police crouch behind their cars with guns drawn. The man holding the Mayor orders the police to "Hurry and bring Mr. Satan here!" He holds a large knife to the Mayor's throat. "If you don't, the Mayor will die." The Mayor looks back at him. "What do you want with Mr. Satan?" Man, "Our boss wants to fight Mr. Satan." Mayor, "Fight Mr. Satan?!" A door slides open behind them, revealing an absolutely HUGE man. "I don't care if that damned Mr. Satan is the hero that saved the Earth or not. He can't be the strongest fighter forever. I'm going to beat him up!" He smashes his fist into the palm of his other hand. The other man laughs. "And then this city will belong to our Red Rock Gang!" Boss, "We'll change the name of this city to Rock City. What do you think, Mayor?" The Mayor glares angrily at him. "If you don't want your Mayor to die, you'll bring Mr. Satan here to fight me!" One of his underlings launches a rocket at the band of police officers, who scatter. A car explodes.

A younger police officer salutes another officer. "Have you contacted Mr. Satan yet?" Younger one, "We've tried, but we still haven't gotten in touch with him." The phone rings at Mr. Satan's house. The entire area is silent except for the phone. Mr. Satan hides up in the attic. "When you become famous, those kinds of creeps come out of the wood works. I want to beat the crap out of them, but they have weapons. Facing danger like this is part of being a hero. Too bad, but I'm going to have to sit this one out." Terrorist on TV, "If Mr. Satan doesn't come out here, we'll kill you, too!"

Videl runs up to the teacher. "Teacher, I'm sorry, but I have to leave." She turns and hurries out of the room. Teacher, "Do your best. Be careful." Gohan stands up. "Teacher!" She looks at him. "Yes?" Gohan, "I have to go to the bathroom." Sharpener, "Hmph. Not again." Teacher, "Son-kun, you've done that a lot and not come back to class. I don't care how good your grades are, I won't let you do that today!" Eliza, "Too bad, Gohan-kun." Sharpener laughs.

The Mayor sits on the ground, his arms bound behind his back. The terrorists stand around him, with their leader relaxing in a large chair. The leader looks up. "Hm?" Videl's aircar lands nearby, behind the police. One laughs anxiously. Another, "Here he is!" Videl jumps over a car and runs out to face the terrorists. "Let the Mayor go." The man who she kicked earlier, and who is actually holding the Mayor, says, "Boss, that's Mr. Satan's daughter." The boss stands up. "I've heard you're pretty strong, but I don't want to fight Mr. Satan's daughter. " He walks toward her. "I came here to defeat Mr. Satan." Videl, "There have been a lot of people like you. They try to beat Papa and make a name for themselves." She crosses her arms. "He's too busy for you now. He'll fight you if you beat me first." Boss, "What?" Mayor, "That's right. Videl-san's almost as strong as Mr. Satan." Leader, "So if I beat this girl, it's the same as if I beat Mr. Satan." He walks toward her. "Okay, this is changing the subject, but you're pretty cute for being Mr. Satan's daughter." Standing side by side, the man towers over Videl at nearly twice her height. Man, "I won't hold back." Videl laughs, then throws a kick. The man blocks it with his forearm. She jumps back. "You're a little stronger than the other people I've had to fight." The man walks up to her. "I'm going to scar your pretty face for saying that."

Gohan concentrates on the battle from his spot at school. "Her enemy is pretty strong. Videl-san is in danger. But how can I get out of class to save her?" The teacher drones on at the front of the room. "Isn't there anything I can do?" He looks toward the door, then straight ahead again. The teacher continues the lesson. Gohan begins to nervously tap his foot on the ground, his eyes darting back and forth from the door. As his anxiety builds, his tapping speed picks up. The building begins to shake. Teacher, "Earthquake! Everyone, hide under your desks!" Gohan stands up. "Now!" Son Gohan runs out onto the roof of the building. "Transform!" He hits the button on his watch and transforms into the Great Saiyaman as he falls down the side of the building. He flies toward the fight.

The man throws a punch, Videl ducks. Another punch, she jumps above him. She kicks him hard in the face, and he staggers back. She lands. The man smiles. "You're not bad." One of the underlings begins firing a machine gun at her, and with her attention drawn away from the fight, the man speeds forward and smashes into her. Videl slides across the ground, stopping in some nearby bushes. Mayor, "Videl-san!"

The Great Saiyaman lands nearby. "That's not fair!" The leader looks back at him. An underling points a gun at the back of the Great Saiyaman's neck. "Who the hell are you?" The Great Saiyaman turns around, grabs the barrel of the gun between his middle and forefinger, and bends it away. The underling gasps. The Great Saiyaman chuckles as the underling examines his gun. The Great Saiyaman walks away. "I am the Hater of Evil! The Champion of Justice!" He spins around and strikes a pose. "I am...!" Videl, "Great Saiyaman!" The Great Saiyaman faulters. "Videl-san, that's my line." Videl, "Hey, you! This is my job! Stay out of this!" Great Saiyaman, "Huh?" Videl, "I never asked for your help!" Great Saiyaman, "But..."

The police watch the scene, bewildered. Officer, "What are they doing?" Videl, "Get out of here!" Great Saiyaman, "That's mean, Videl-san." The leader suddenly cuts in. "Stop this! Kill that masked freak, too!" The man who punched Gohan earlier in the day jumps forward and begins firing a machine gun at the Great Saiyaman. He disappears, much to the surprise of his enemies. He reappears behind the man whose gun he bent and hits him in the back of the neck. The man falls to the ground. Another man, "Damn you!" He points a gun at the Great Saiyaman, but the Great Saiyaman hits him hard in the stomach (doing one of those "fist indented in the guy's back" things). He smashes into another guy and they fly through a window of the Mayor's house, shattering it.

The Great Saiyaman walks up behind the Mayor and bends down to untie his arms. "Are you alright, Mayor?" Mayor, "Uh, thanks." Another underling suddenly runs out from behind the corner of a building and fires a rocket at the Great Saiyaman and the Mayor. "Die!" The Mayor watches in fear, but the Great Saiyaman stands up, holds his arm out, and stops the rocket. The underling gasps as the rocket begins to travel backward, stopping right in front of him. He stumbles away just before it explodes. The explosion leaves a small crater and a stupified terrorist. The terrorist faints.

"You bastard!" The Great Saiyaman turns to see the leader with Videl locked in his arms. "Videl-san!" He rushes forward to help her out, but suddenly stops in surprise when Videl frees herself simply by elbowing the man hard in the gut. He falls to his knees and Videl jumps up, kicking him hard in the head. He falls to the ground with a grunt. She claps her hands together. Great Saiyaman, "I guess I didn't have to worry. She's pretty strong." He laughs.

The Gang is handcuffed and arrested. The Great Saiyaman waves goodbye as he rises into the air. "Goodbye, Videl-san!" Videl, "Wait!" He stops. She closes her eyes. "Thank you." Great Saiyaman, "It was nothing." Videl, "Now I want to know who you are more than ever. I'm going to find out one of these days." The Great Saiyaman laughs. "Go ahead and try." He turns and flies away. Videl stands apart from the police, watching the Great Saiyaman exit.

Later, after returning to school, Videl and Eliza talk in the halls. Gohan follows a few feet behind, listening in on their conversation. Videl, "Huh? Gohan-kun did that?" Gohan stops. Eliza, "And then there was an earthquake scare. And that's when Gohan disappeared. He came back just shortly before you did." Videl, "I thought so. Gohan-kun!" She turns around, only to find that Gohan is no longer with them. "He was just here behind us!" Sharpener laughs. "He's a genius at getting away." Gohan hides behind a garbage can nearby.
