Don't Mess with Me!! Vegeta's First Attack is Filled with Anger

Laughing, Puipui flies at Vegeta with his foot pulled back, ready to kick. "Die!" However, when he finally collides, Vegeta easily blocks the kick with his left arm. Puipui is surprised, to say the least. He jumps back and throws a punch, which Vegeta catches just as easily as he blocked the kick. He closes his hand around Puipui's fist and pushes it out of the way. Taken off guard by Vegeta's strength, Puipui jumps to the door with a back handspring. He grins. "You're better than I thought, but this is as far as you get!" Vegeta lowers his arms and Puipui charges forward. He swipes at Vegeta's head, but Vegeta simply ducks. He throws a flurry of punches, but seemingly effortlessly, Vegeta dodges each one. Every once in a while, he throws a kick into the mix, but those don't get any better results. Finally, one of those kicks ends the futile assault when Vegeta catches it, which once again surprises Puipui. Holding Puipui's right leg by the ankle, Vegeta kicks him hard in the stomach. He sails back into a wall and falls face down on the ground. Kaioushin gasps.

Puipui slowly lifts himself off the ground, and Vegeta approaches him. Goku, "See? That's why we said Vegeta would be enough by himself." Still on his knees, Puipui angrily looks up to see Vegeta right in his face. He cries out in surprise and fear; Vegeta glares down at him. Suddenly, he jumps up to attack, but Vegeta immediately kicks him in the face and he once again flies into a wall. This time, however, he manages to catch himself, and what hits the wall is his feet, which he uses to spring back. Vegeta disappears as Puipui lands, and Puipui looks back to see only Goku, Kaioushin, and Gohan. He is, of course, alarmed by that. He hears from behind him, "I'm over here, you fool." He spins around and is promptly hit in the face. He falls hard to the ground, bouncing. Kaioushin, "Incredible..." Gohan, "Nice, Vegeta-san. You're a lot more powerful than you were before." Goku smiles. "Vegeta's continued his training, too." Kaioushin looks on, still stunned by Vegeta's power.

"What's that stupid Puipui thinking? If he doesn't gather any damage energy, we won't be able to resurrect Majin Buu." Dabura grins. "What? He hasn't even started yet. He just let his guard down for a bit."

Vegeta walks up behind Puipui. "What's the matter? Is that it?" Puipui, still on the floor after the last hit, is really starting to get angry. "What!? Damn you!" He tries to throw a punch, but Vegeta jumps up and steps on his head. He cries out in surprise (and maybe pain, but it doesn't look like Vegeta did much more than walk). He spins around and meets Vegeta's fist. And then Vegeta unleashes a barrage of his own, but unlike Puipui's, Vegeta's makes contact each and every time. Babidi watches in surprise, and so does Kaioushin. A hit to the face throws Puipui back, and the barrage ends. Vegeta quickly follows up with another much stronger punch to the same spot, and Puipui is once again thrown to the ground.

Babidi scowls, then turns to Dabura. "Hey, what was Puipui's favorite place to fight again?" Dabura, "It's the high gravity planet Zun." Babidi, "Planet Zun, okay..." He holds up his hands. "Papparapa!" Waves of something seem to come out of his hands, and then as Vegeta walks toward Puipui, he's suddenly on a dark, windy planet. Dust blows up around him. He looks around, surprised. The only remaining semblance of the room is the large circular area in the center of the floor. Goku, "Huh?" Gohan, "What just happened?" Kaioushin, "This is Babidi's doing. He used his magic to change the room. It's probably a place that favors that figher." Goku, "That's interesting." Kaioushin, "But Goku-san, now Vegeta-san is at a disadvantage." Goku smiles. "Just watch." Kaioushin gasps at his reaction and turns back to Vegeta, who's still looking around, confused. Puipui finally stands up, laughing. "This is as far as you go!" Vegeta turns to him calmly. Puipui picks up a stone. "This is the planet Zun. I was born here." He drops the rock, and it's crushed when it hits the ground. "This is ten times Earth's gravity! You can't stand this!" He laughs. Vegeta grins, and he suddenly stops. "So what? A mere ten gravities means nothing to me." Puipui, "Wha-!? You're lying. You're just trying to put up a front!" Vegeta, "I'll show you if it's just a front." Puipui brushes his comment aside. "Impossible!" He charges forward, yelling "Die!"

Be begins another punch-based assault, and it seems to be fairing just as poorly as his last attempt. Vegeta punches him once, hard in the gut. His face contorts in pain. Vegeta follows up with a kick to the same area, and Puipui flies into a small rocky hill nearby. Furious (and missing teeth), Puipui tries to sit up, but gasps in fear when he sees Vegeta hopping up and down in a fighting pose, a grin on his face. "I told you I wasn't lying." Puipui stands up and glares at him. "Damn you!" He charges forward again, and Vegeta charges at him. At the point where they should have collided, Vegeta disappears and reappears right under him. Puipui watches in fear and surprise as Vegeta holds his hands up to his chest. Puipui shrinks back and Vegeta grins sadistically. His hands begin to glow; Puipui gasps. Finally, Vegeta fires his ki blast, and Puipui screams as he disintegrates. Both Babidi and Kaioushin are shocked. Goku, "You did it!" Vegeta, "Hmph. Damn that Babidi. He sent me a boring opponent."

The floor in the circle at the center of the room drops out, and Goku and Gohan run up to look inside. Goku, "Hey, look! The path down has opened!" Gohan, "It turned into something like an elevator." Goku jumps into the hole. Gohan, "This is like a videogame, isn't it?" He follows Goku. Vegeta, "It's a stupid game." And then he, too, jumps in. Goku reappears for a moment and waves. "Hey, Kaioushin-sama, let's go!" Kaioushin stands there, staring ahead, completely unfocused. "This can't be... I never thought they'd be this strong..."

Babidi seethes as the Z Senshi land in the next room. Goku looks around. "It's just like the last room." Kaioushin finally arrives as Gohan asks, "But won't he be able to change the room with magic again?" Kaioushin looks around after landing. Babidi watches through his crystal ball. Babidi angrily turns to Dabura and asks, "Why is there someone this strong on the Earth?" Dabura, "There was no one like this three hundred years ago when I examined the Earth." Babidi, "Damn it..." Dabura, "But you needn't worry. There are still more stages. And if the worst happens, aren't I here?" After that reassurance, Babidi's anger fades and he laughs.

At the Tenkaichi Budokai, a group of attendants are huddled together, trying to decide what to do as the crowd screams in the background. Gyuu Maou stretches his arms and yawns. "They're taking a break. What's going on?" Suddenly, Chichi screams. Gyuu Maou, "What is it!?" Chichi jumps up and starts looking back and forth. Gyuu Maou, "What's wrong, Chichi?" Chichi, "Goten-chan... What happened to Goten-chan? He's gone somewhere!" Muten Roshi, "Huh? That's right, I haven't seen him in a while." He puts his hand to his chin. "Or Trunks, for that matter." Chichi, "He promised he'd watch the fight with me after the Junior Division was over. Maybe he got depressed after he lost to Trunks and wandered off somewhere." Gyuu Maou, "He's probably gone home."

Mighty Mask walks down a hallway; Goten's eyes scan the area ahead through the holes he poked in the costume. They pass a few attendants who are talking and take no notice of them. "Hey, Trunks-kun..." Trunks, "Huh?" Goten, "I'm thirsty. Let's take a break." Trunks, "Yeah, you're right. I'm getting tired of the two of us acting like one person." Mighty Mask runs down a hall, then stops as he passes through an intersection. Trunks points down a different all and tells Goten, "Down there." Mighty Mask turns and runs in the direction Trunks had pointed. He passes another intersection. Trunks, "Over there." Mighty Mask runs back and goes down that hall instead. He runs past the announcer, who at first takes no notice, but then turns around and watches as Mighty Mask continues. "Ah, yes. I have to tell Contestant Mighty Mask, too." He starts running after Mighty Mask. Trunks, "Over there." The announcer follows behind a few seconds later. "Over there," Trunks points. And Mighty Mask turns again. He runs down a short hallway and comes to a door. Trunks, "This is the place." He opens the door and looks inside. "Good, no one's here." The announcer appears down the hallway, looking around. He watches as Mighty Mask enters a room. "Ah." The door shuts. "There he is."

Trunks pulls off the mask. "Trunks-kun, hurry and get off of me!" Trunks, "Wait." The announcer grabs the doorknob, but suddenly stops when he hears voices. "Hm? That's a child's voice." An old woman suddenly shoves past him. "Excuse me! Get out of the way! The nerve of some people..." She mops around the area right in front of the door. "I'm so busy. Can't anyone clean up after themselves?" Announcer, "Excuse me, I'm in a hurry too..."

Mighty Mask's boots are thrown against a wall and fall to the ground. Trunks jumps off Goten's shoulders and Goten jumps out of the costume, which lies crumpled on the floor. He runs forward happily. "Soda, soda!" He runs up to a vending machine while Trunks relaxes on a sofa. Trunks sighs. Goten mumbles to himself as he chooses what he wants. "Ah, this one!" He reaches up to hit the button.

The cleaning lady finally moves down the hall. Announcer, "Darn her..." He opens the door and steps inside. "Contestant Mighty Mask?" Trunks makes an incoherent surprised noise (that sounds kind of like "ee"), and Goten turns to the door with a curious expression, his finger frozen over the vending machine button. No one says anything, as the children seem as surprised to see the announcer as he is to see them. The window on the vending machine slides up and a cup of...something sits waiting. The machine holds it out for Goten to take. "Huh? Aren't you Trunks-kun and Goten-kun?" As he names them, he points. Trunks jumps up and nervously replies, "Yes!" Announcer, "Only warriors in the competition should be in here." Trunks holds up his hands as he tries to come up with an explanation and manages to say, "We wanted to get Mr. Satan's autograph." Goten steps forward, smiling and holding his cup. "That's right. Here's the soda." The announcer rubs his chin. "Hm. And you did put on a good fight in the Junior Division." They both laugh nervously. "By the way, where's Contestant Mighty Mask? I saw him come into this room." He looks around. Trunks struggles to come up with an explanation. The announcer notices the clothing. "These are his clothes." He picks up the mask/cape. Trunks, "Uh..." Announcer, "I wonder where he is." Trunks, "Eh, uh, hm..." The announcer starts looking around. "Contestant Mighty Mask! Where are you?" He opens a door and looks inside. With the announcer's back turned, Trunks disappears, then reappears in the shower. He turns the knob, then reappears right where he had been before. The announcer turns around as steam begins to pour out of the showers. "I see, he's in the shower." He walks toward the shower. "Mighty Mask-san!" Trunks didn't expect him to go open the shower, and so he once again tries to come up with something. However, it's Goten to the rescue, who jumps in between the announcer and the showers. "Don't do that! If you peek, he'll get awfully mad at you!" Announcer, "Hm. I see. Masked fighters hate it when people look at them, don't they? I understand." Trunks sighs. "Mighty Mask-san!" And Trunks is once again at a loss. "Mighty-san!" Trunks reaches up and pinches his nose. "Wh-what is it?" The announcer smiles. "We don't know when the competition will start again, so don't go outside." Trunks as Mighty Mask, "Yeah, I understand." The announcer turns around. "That's all of them." Trunks quickly takes his hand from his nose and laughs nervously. The announcer walks out, but stops at the door. "Kids, don't wander around too much, okay?" He shuts the door as they continue laughing, but the laughter ends as soon as he's gone.

A light wind blows up dust around Babidi's spaceship. Kuririn and Piccolo remain frozen on the mountain. Goku takes a single step toward the M door. "It's my turn next." He rubs his wrists. "I wonder who I'm going to have to fight. I hope it's someone incredibly strong!" Babidi grins as he watches through his crystal ball. Dabura, "Who are you going to use in stage 2?" Babidi is silent for a few seconds before replying, "I'll use Yakon." Dabura, "Yakon? You're going to use Yakon as early as stage 2?" Babidi, "We probably shouldn't underestimate these Earthlings. After all, Puipui was defeated without causing any damage." Dabura, "I see. But if you use Yakon, they'll all be defeated and there will be nothing left to amuse me." Babidi, "We should worry about waking Majin Buu up from his long sleep, not having fun." Dabura bows. "Yes sir, I'm terribly sorry." He points to a servant against the wall. "Yakon will handle stage 2. Tell him immediately." The servant responds, "Yes sir."

Two "regular" guys (like Babidi's equivalent of Freezer's soldiers) run up to a door with the letter M on it (of course) and open it. Inside is completely dark. One of them, "Yakon-sama." A single slit of gold glows in the darkness, and an animal begins to snarl. An arm shoots out and grabs the one who called out "Yakon-sama." The arm keeps going until it runs into the wall, then it pulls the guy back in. His screams ring out from the darkness, and the other one shrinks back, frightened. He turns to run, but the arm shoots back out and grabs him. He reaches for the doorframe, but only delays his own death by a few seconds. He's finally pulled in; he screams in the darkness as he's killed. The crunching of bones is heard and the screaming finally stops. A little light reveals Yakon as a giant insectoid creature. "Yakon!" Yakon turns toward a red light, the only light in the room, at the sound of Babidi's voice. "Sorry to keep you waiting. It's your turn. Fight as hard as you want." Yakon, "Yes, Babidi-sama." He slowly lumbers out of the room. As an interesting sidenote, Yakon lacks the M that shows up on the foreheads of all of Babidi's henchmen.

Goku waits with his hands on his hips and asks impatiently, "Hey, aren't you ready yet? Hurry up!" Vegeta, "This is stupid. Why don't we just break the floor and go down already?" Kaioushin, "You can't! Like I told you before, if the sphere receives a strong shock, Majin Buu might be brought back!" Vegeta, "Hmph. From what I've seen, Majin Buu probably isn't a very big deal, like that Dabura jerk." Kaioushin gasps. "What do you mean, Dabura's not a very big deal?" Vegeta, "I'm saying Dabura isn't as bad as you made him out to be. After looking at how he moved and his attacks, aside from being careful about his spit, he didn't look very impressive. I can only say that Kibit was clumsy." Kaioushin gasps...again. "Is that the truth, Goku-san?" Goku, "Hm. Well, even if that wasn't his full power, he would have been a strong opponent a while ago, but... Seven years ago, we fought Cell. Dabura's probably about the same level of strength." Kaioushin looks on, stunned. "I can't believe Super Saiya-jin are that strong. But now that I think about it..." He looks over at Gohan. "Gohan-san was hard to stop when he was a Super Saiya-jin. What if that wasn't his full power...?"

Goku, "Hey, hurry up and do something! It's my turn next!" Finally, the door slowly starts to open. "Hm?" is heard from several of the Z Senshi. Behind the door, silhouetted by a bright white light, is an enormous insectoid that doesn't look like it could even fit through the door -- Yakon. Goku, "Huh?" Yakon reaches out and grabs the doorframe. He pulls himself up and takes a step out into the room. Goku, "Huh? What's this?" Yakon waves his claws around after getting all the way into the room. Babidi, "Yakon, you can kill them all at once." He laughs. Yakon slowly steps forward, his sheer size taking Goku by surprise. Kaioushin, "Impossible...!" Goku smiles in anticipation of his upcoming fight.
