Goku's at Full Power!! Take That, Yakon

A light wind blows as clouds drift through the sky. A lizard runs around stone Kuririn's foot, climbing onto his ankle. A cloud passes by overhead, partially blocking out the sun. Not far away, Majin Buu sits imprisoned at the bottom of Babidi's ship, and several levels above him, Yakon steps up to fight Son Goku. Yakon roars and opens and closes his jaws. He clenches and unclenches his fists as he lumbers toward Goku, an anxious but confident grin on his face. Goku, "Wow..." Gohan, "He's incredible." Vegeta simply watches in silence, his arms crossed. Yakon laughs. "Which one should I eat first?" Goku steps forward. "I will fight you." He puts his hands on his hips. "You're big, but I don't think you can fight." Yakon, "Huh?" Kaioushin, "Is that... It must be the monster, Yakon." Gohan, "Monster Yakon?" Kaioushin turns to him. "That's right. He's feared as a monster and he's incredibly strong. Goku-san can't fight him alone!" Vegeta, "Hmph."

Babidi giggles. "Yakon, take their energy! I want Majin Buu resurrected soon." He laughs as Dabura watches, grinning. Yakon's drool pools on the floor beneath him. He laughs. Goku, "Hm?" He adopts a fighting pose, and Yakon licks his lips. Yakon swipes at him, but Goku disappears into the air. Yakon follows and throws some punches, but Goku dodges. Finally, Goku heads back toward the floor and Yakon jumps up to spring off the ceiling. He flies right past Goku and they both land. The front of Goku's shirt falls open, having been cut right through by one of Yakon's claws. "Hm? Wow! That was close!" Yakon laughs, his huge claws crossing each other like an X in front of his face. Gohan rubs his chin. "He's pretty fast for as big as he is." Kaioushin, "That's why I warned you! Let's gang up on him!" Gohan smiles. "No, it's perfectly fine, I think. Dad can handle this himself." Kaioushin, "Im-impossible!"

Yakon laughs. "You fool. You were lucky, but that won't happen again." Goku, "Huh? Those scythe claws are retractable." Babidi giggles. "He's scared." Dabura, "It looks like this will be an easy victory for Yakon." Babidi laughs. "Scare them some more by finishing this off fast!" He holds his hands in front of the crystal ball, and the next thing he says is heard by the Z Senshi in the room with Yakon. "That's good, Yakon! You're great." Goku, "Huh?" He looks toward the ceiling. Gohan does the same. "Kill the three of them, but leave Kaioushin. Take all of their energy! That will certainly bring back Majin Buu! In order to make this faster, I'll take you to your favorite planet of the Dark Abyss, the Planet of Darkness." Yakon grunts in a happy "Really!?" sort of way. Dabura chuckles. "Babidi-sama, Yakon should be strong enough to beat them without going to the Planet of Darkness." Babidi, "Probably, but if they fight in the ship, they might cause a shock that would bring out Majin Buu only half-formed. I want to resurrect him at full power." Dabura, "I see." Babidi, "Well, let's go." He turns back to his crystal ball and throws up his hands, screaming. "Papparapa!"

The room slowly fades away into darkness as the Z Senshi watch in surprise. Finally, it's too dark to even see the walls, and there's a blue light on the Z Senshi and Yakon. Then, lastly, even that fades away and it's just the Z Senshi in pitch darkness. Goku holds his hands out, feeling as he walks. Suddenly, he hits his leg on something and grabs it, hopping up and down on the other. "Ow, ow, ow!" He kneels down and feels it with his hands. "It's a rock."

The Z Senshi stand clustered together. Goku, "I can't see anything. This really is the Dark Abyss. Too bad." Yakon roars and jumps back several times before flipping and grabbing hold of an unseen ceiling with his feet. "This is my favorite Planet of Darkness." He retracts his claws. "I can see you perfectly! You're scratching your head!" And indeed, Goku is scratching his head. He lowers his hand and looks at it in surprise." Kaioushin, "It's the planet where Yakon was born. It's at the edge of the universe. That's why it's so dark." Goku, "Eh?" Yakon, "You're mine!" He disappears and lunges forward. "I'll start with you!" Goku jumps out of the way of his hands, and Yakon watches as he flies up. "Huh?" Goku dives in and kicks him, and Yakon burrows through the ground and pops up several feet away. He looks around. "Where is he?" He looks over toward the Z Senshi, but sees only Kaioushin, Vegeta, and Gohan. Goku appears behind him. "Over here." Yakon, "Huh!?" Goku hits him with an overhead smash (where he holds one fist in the other hand and smashes down with both of them on his opponent's head) and Yakon goes sailing into what appears to be water (though I can't say that for certain). Quickly recovering, Yakon begins jumping around and ends up coming at Goku with his claws outstretched. At the last second, Goku ducks, then jumps up and kicks him in the face. Kaioushin gasps. He turns away from the fight and asks Gohan and Vegeta, "Do you know what's going on?" Vegeta, "Pretty much." Yakon flies into a big rock structure and it crumbles. What looks like water splashes up around him (but you've got to understand that aside from the characters, the only colors we've got are black and blue, so it's hard to tell if it's dust or water flying around). Goku lands a few feet ahead of Gohan and sighs.

Yakon grunts as he reaches up to get ahold of something. He slowly pulls himself up. "Can he see me?" Goku smiles. "You really underestimated us. Even though it's dark, we can easily determine your movements with little air currents and such." Yakon's eyes go wide and he shrinks back just a bit. "And if we wanted, there are lots of ways for us to see you. For example..." He clenches his fists. His muscles bulge slightly and he screams as a golden aura engulfs him. He turns Super Saiya-jin and the entire area is bathed in light (probably for the first time). Babidi, "Wha-what in the hell is that!? How did he break the darkness?" Dabura grins. "He's just glowing." Babidi turns to one of his slaves. "Hey, get the energy measurement device! The strongest one!" Servant, "Yes sir!"

Goku grins, and Yakon is completely stunned. Gohan smiles. "It's gotten bright, Dad." Goku, "Now you should know that it was useless to make it dark." Yakon grins. "I see the Dark Abyss didn't work." Goku, "Huh? Why isn't he surprised?"

"Babidi-sama!" The servant/slave/whatever runs up with the energy measurement device. Babidi points it at his crystal ball, currently focused on Goku, and looks down at the dial. "Three thousand Kili! Wh-why does an Earthling have an energy of 3000 Kili!?" Dabura, "Three thousand Kili... With that much energy, you could destroy a planet or two. That's odd. There shouldn't be a race that strong on the Earth." Babidi, "I wonder if the device is broken? But if he really has 3000 Kili, Yakon won't be able to beat him. Yakon's energy is only 800 Kili."

--COMMERCIAL--

The crowd at the Tenkaichi Budokai really seems to have thinned out. Most of the people are gone, so those who remain have ample space for such things as laying down, and many take advantage. Woman, "How long are they going to make us wait?" Two men stand on the top level terrace that seems to go all the way around the stadium. One leans on the railing, bored out of his mind. The other stares down at the stage with his arms crossed. Standing guy, "When's it gonna start?" Leaning guy, "What's going on?" He yawns.

Inside a small building, Trunks and Goten shovel food into their mouths. Goten, "Delicious!" The dirty dishes begin to pile up on the table as Budokai attendants and other customers simply watch in amazement. Trunks takes a bite out of a chicken leg. Goten takes on a shish kebab, but has to stop a minute to pound his chest when something apparently doesn't go down right. Finally, they finish, but just because of lack of food. Both turn to an attendant and hold out their plates to him. "More, please!" Attendant, "Huh?" He and another guy fall over, and the rest of the restaurant quickly follows suit.

Later, Trunks sips out of a bowl. He finally lowers it. "I'm stuffed." Goten rubs his stomach, smiling. "Me too. Trunks-kun, could you pay for me too?" Trunks, "Huh? I don't have any money." Goten, "But you won the prize for the Junior Division." Trunks, "I haven't got it yet. They said they wouldn't give it to me until everything is over." Goten, "Huh? What are we gonna do?"

Some attendants wash dishes in the back. Goten and Trunks slowly creep away below the counter, carrying food above their head for some reason. An attendant takes notice. "Huh?" Two of them come up behind the kids. "You two..." Goten and Trunks both cry out in surprise and turn around. Goten, "They found us..." They drop their fruits or vegetables or whatever it was they were carrying and run. Not far behind are the two Budokai guys. The kids are watching their back as they run, so they don't notice as they crash right into Gyuu Maou. They cry out in surprise and fall over, Trunks landing on top of Goten. Goten, "Ow ow ow ow!" Everyone stares at them in surprise. Gyuu Maou, "Hey..." Chichi, "Goten-chan! So this is where you were." Goten laughs nervously, hiding behind Trunks. Attendant, "Wait!" Trunks and Goten both suddenly remember where they were going. "Pay your bill!" Trunks, "Uh, these people will pay!" They start running again. Chichi, Gyuu Maou, and Bulma turn and watch them go. "Huh?"

Super Saiya-jin Goku bathes the area in golden light. Yakon laughs. "I'm going to win." Goku stares at him with a self confident grin. Yakon opens his mouth, roaring. Goku, "Hm?" He begins inhaling the light, and the high wind even pulls Goku forward a little. Kaioushin watches in shock; for Gohan, it's more surprise than shock. Goku, "What the...?" Yakon continues sucking up the light. Vegeta watches quietly, unalarmed. The back of Yakon begins glowing on and off. Goku's feet are dragged forward, just an inch or two at a time, but still dragged forward. Finally, Goku fades out of Super Saiya-jin and all of the light goes straight into Yakon's throat. He swallows it. "Huh?" Goku looks down at himself, surprised that he's back to normal again. He feels his hair. Gohan, "What? It's black again." Vegeta, "You're wrong. He was changed from Super Saiya-jin back to normal."

Yakon belches, then rubs his stomach. "That was delicious. I've never eaten light that full of volume and taste before." Goku, "Eaten?" Kaioushin, "That's right! The monster Yakon eats light energy! Super Saiya-jin Goku-san's energy was the perfect food." Gohan gasps. "Dad! Don't turn Super Saiya-jin again! He eats light energy!" Goku looks back over his shoulder. "Huh?" Yakon laughs. "That's right. That was superb energy. If you could, I'd like you to do that again." Goku, "Eh?" (He says a real sentence after that, but it's not subtitled). Yakon begins jumping over to him, finally landing a few feet away. He belches again. Goku suddenly gets an idea. He smiles and holds up his fist. "I'll feed you again." Yakon, "What?" Goku, "Here I go!" Vegeta, "What's he thinking?" Gohan, "I'll fight with you, Dad! Together, we should be able to beat him without using Super Saiya-jin!" Goku, "No thanks. I'll fight him by myself. Stay out of this." He holds up his fists to about chest height and turns Super Saiya-jin again.

Yakon, "I'm so happy that you're an idiot! I'll be able to feast again!" Kaioushin, "He really is foolish! What does he have to prove by fighting alone like that? This isn't a game!" Vegeta replies without even looking at him, "Shut up and let him do this. He's got a plan. He isn't a fool." Yakon opens his mouth with a roar to eat the light again. Goku gasps and struggles against it. "My light's being sucked up! I won't lose!" Babidi, "What are you doing, Yakon? If you suck out his energy, it can't be used for Majin Buu! What a waste! If you don't hurt him so that we can take his energy, how is Majin Buu supposed to absorb it?"

Rocks slide across the ground toward Yakon, but Goku struggles against it and remains in place. Yakon continues inhaling the light and anything that comes with it, but Goku pulls back. Yakon's belly begins to distend, and his back glows golden off and on again. Goku grins; Vegeta watches in silence. Suddenly, Goku screams and quickly raises his ki (probably to Super Saiya-jin 2). A huge burst of light flies at Yakon. He swallows it before he even knows what he's doing and explodes. Kaioushin, "Incredible!" Gohan smiles. "He did it!" And Vegeta simply watches without emotion. "I see."

Babidi drops his power meter. "Wha-!?" Dabura, "Impossible!" Goku sighs, and the circle in the floor that leads to the next level appears next to him. "Hm? It opened." He looks back at the others, smiling. "Let's go down to the next level." Gohan, "Right!" He and Vegeta walk toward the opening while Kaioushin stares in surprise. Goku, "Kaioushin-sama! Hurry up!" The three Saiya-jin drop into the next room, and Kaioushin follows soon after. Babidi watches through his crystal ball. "My monster Yakon... Why did he explode?" Dabura, "It looks like that fool fell for the enemy's plan. He ate too much light and passed his limits." Babidi, "You're wrong! That was weird! Right before Yakon died, he started to expand!"

Gohan smiles. "You were great, Dad. You had a huge ki when you beat that monster." Goku smiles and looks back at him. "Maybe." Vegeta, "It looks like Kakkarotto overcame that barrier too -- the barrier of Super Saiya-jin! He must have been training for that in the Other World over the past seven years." Babidi, "They aren't what I thought they were!" Dabura, "It's fine. I understand. You can stop your worrying now, Babidi-sama." Babidi looks back at him. "Huh?" Dabura smiles. "I will finish them off. I'll go to Stage 3 myself, and soon enough, Majin Buu's sphere will be full of energy." Babidi, "Da-Dabura! If they beat you, it's the end of my plans! You have a plan, don't you?" Dabura, "A plan? I'm the Lord of Darkness, Dabura. I don't care if he has 3000 Kili of energy or 4000 Kili of energy, there's no way they can stand against me."

Goku stares at the door. "I wonder what's going to come out this time." He turns around, smiling. "Gohan, it's your turn next." Gohan hits his fists together, also smiling. "Right!" Vegeta simply stands there as always, and Kaioushin stares in shock (also, "as always"). Dabura grins and walks away, his cape flowing behind him as Babidi watches. Waiting for him two levels above, Gohan stretches his legs and then stands up. "Alright! I'll do my best!"
