The Seal is Broken! The Ultimate Evil, Majin Buu Appears!!

Majin Buu's sphere glows from a lifeless light gray to a bright orange/red, off and on. Son Gohan and Kaioushin watch it uneasily. Meanwhile, the energy meter is still going crazy, signaling that Buu is still receiving large amounts of damage energy from the fight between Son Goku and Majin Vegeta on the surface. Dabura stands in front of the sphere with his arms crossed, grinning. Next to him, Babidi stands, giggling. "Gohan-san. We have to defeat them before that sphere reaches critical mass. If Majin Buu is reborn, the Earth will be destroyed in an instant." Gohan doesn't take his eyes off the sphere as he replies, "Right." Both of them take fighting poses.

Babidi, "Kaioushin?" Kaioushin gasps. "Do you want to go up to the surface? Majin Buu should be coming out of this sphere as soon as he reaches full power and I wouldn't want him to destroy my spaceship if he gets a little carried away." Kaioushin, "Fine, but it still won't keep us from stopping your attempt to resurrect Majin Buu." Babidi giggles. "Do you think you can stop us?" Dabura chuckles. Babidi throws up his hands. "Papparapa!!" Gohan gasps as all of them, including the sphere, arrive outside. He looks around and sees a very ominous cloudy, purple sky. Stone Piccolo and Kuririn remain on their nearby mountain. "Well, Dabura, I'm only asking to make sure, but are you confident that you can beat that Earthling?" He looks up and over his shoulder at Dabura, who replies, "Of course. We've already fought, and I'm positive I can take care of that garbage." He chuckles, which in turn leads to more giggling from Babidi. "You can do whatever you want with them." He smiles up at Dabura. "You can turn them to stone like those others or you can just annihilate them. I don't care." Dabura, "Yes." Kaioushin and Gohan watch in pseudo-battle poses.

Screaming, Son Goku lunges forward, but is quickly knocked back by a punch to the face. He falls and Vegeta gives chase, powering up for a strong kick. Before he can follow up on the punch, Goku returns with a punch of his own, and Vegeta grunts in pain and surprise. Goku attempts his own follow up and is met by a kick that he blocks. From there, it goes into a flurry of punches and kicks as we've seen oh-so-many times in the past. It begins with Goku on the defensive, simply blocking punches and kicks, but that soon changes as Goku begins attacking as well, and from there neither is specifically playing defense or offense, though Goku is the one driving Vegeta back. They fight straight through a mountain, which explodes as they approach it. In the new dust cloud, we see Goku get a strong kick to Vegeta and immediate retaliation with a punch. Goku flies up out of the dust cloud and Vegeta misses, hitting rock instead. As more rocks crumble and the dust settles, Vegeta watches him from several yards below. "You've gotten stronger, Kakkarotto." He pauses, then continues, "But is that all you're capable of, even after your training in the Other World?" Goku ignores the comment and replies, "You've gotten better as well, Vegeta. You're much stronger than I expected." Vegeta grins and disappears.

He reappears behind Goku, who immediately spins to meet him. Vegeta kicks as Goku is turning, but Goku dodges it (I think...this whole scene is moving really quickly except for when they stop to talk) and elbows Vegeta. Vegeta falls but catches himself and lands on his feet on the ground. Goku lands across from him and Vegeta fires a ki blast, then quickly jumps away. Goku leaps into the air to dodge the blast and a mountain behind him crumbles as fighting begins again in the air. We hear the sounds of the fight, but only see a silhouette inside the dust cloud before a strong burst of energy erupts and clears out the dust and smoke around them. What we see now is Goku with his leg outstretched and Vegeta with his arms up in what appears to be a successful block. Vegeta punches Goku in the face and Goku falls. Vegeta follows up immediately with a strong punch to the back, and Goku cries out in pain.

"Kaioushin, I'm glad you came. I can at last take vengeance upon you." Kaioushin's eyes twitch. "My Papa was killed by your hands. He must have let his guard down fighting against you." A light wind blows dust across the stretch of land separating the two pairs. "I won't let you kill me as you killed my Papa. Not only am I much stronger than he was, but I also have Dabura with me." Dabura's eyes widen just a bit and Kaioushin gasps. Dabura grins. Kaioushin, "I don't have any openings against him. It doesn't matter how I attack him. He'll kill me with magic." Behind Babidi and Dabura, the sphere continues its intermittent glowing. The meter is drawing ever closer to the M in the 12:00 position, hovering around 11:00 or 11:30 now. Gohan, "Damn! How can I defeat him? Even now, Majin Buu is collecting energy at an incredible rate." Goku's voice echoes in his mind. "Get angry! Get angry, Gohan!" He pictures Goku. "Dad..." Goku, "Remember how you became angry when you fought Cell? Put forth all of your hidden power! If you do that, you can defeat anyone. Anyone at all!" Gohan clenches his fist and a little bit of lighting dances around it. "I am angry. I am angry, but I'm not as angry as I was then. Not like when I fought Cell." His eyes widen in an angry, determined glare. "Ka... Me... HA... ME......... HA!!" An enormous Kamehameha flies from the hands of Super Saiya-jin 2 Son Gohan at the Cell Game. It struggles against Cell's and gains ground. Cell watches in shock, and Gohan continues pushing everything he can into it. Cell cries out as he begins to disintegrate. Finally, Cell's own Kamehameha completely disappears and it's simply a huge energy blast from Gohan's end. Cell's face contorts and his body splits into several large pieces that are then each vaporized.

Gohan spreads his legs as he takes a fighting pose. "Damn it!" Electricity dances all over his body. Small pebbles begin to rise up around him. Dabura grins and Gohan continues his power up. "I'm just going to have to do it!" A light golden aura begins to stream around his body as the lightning continues. Finally, he turns Super Saiya-jin, throwing up a small dust cloud that quickly dissipates. Babidi's eyes widen and he backs away a step, but Dabura doesn't move. Gohan and Kaioushin glare ahead silently. Babidi smiles as a light wind sweeps across in front of them. Lighning cracks the sky off in the distance, bringing the low rumble of thunder with it. The sky really isn't so much different from that of Planet Namek during its final minutes, except that it's much darker here. With a shout, Gohan spreads his feet and kicks up a little dust. Babidi takes one more step back and Gohan charges forward, screaming.

Babidi hears a sound from the sphere and turns around to see that the needle is hovering just barely to the left of the M. Gohan gasps and stops dead in his tracks. All eyes are on the sphere. Babidi, "I-it can't be! It can't be..." He approaches the sphere and looks down at the meter, then back at the ball itself. "Not that fast..." The needle finally takes the last jump, pointing directly at 12:00 -- the M that signals completion. Babidi cries out in surprise and Kaioushin in fear as he rushes forward. Gohan, "Wh-what's that!?" Lightning strikes the ground and thunder roars throughout the entire area. Babidi stares down at the meter in shock, making unintelligible "I'm incredulous" noises and slowly backing away. "Wh-what is it, Babidi-sama?" Babidi, "F-full power. He's at full power!" Kaioushin's eyes widen and he shouts in fear and surprise. Babidi's face finally changes from surprised to elated as he exclaims, "Majin Buu is at full power! He's at full power!! He's at full power!!" Kaioushin's mouth drops open and he makes somewhat of a voiced gasp (forgive me for not knowing the real word right now...). The storm rages on in the background and the sphere continues its intermittent glowing. "At last, Majin Buu will be resurrected!" He throws his arms into the air and laughs. Dabura grins. Gohan watches through wide eyes, completely stunned. Kaioushin, "Impossible!! It can't be happening! Why!? How can Goku-san's damage energy have already gotten that high!?" Babidi ignores him, choosing instead to stare at the sphere and laugh maniacally while waving his arms in the air. Gohan, "That's it!" Kaioushin gasps and looks up at him. "Dad is fighting at a level that surpasses Super Saiya-jin! Vegeta-san is probably fighting at that level too!" Kaioushin turns back to the sphere as Gohan continues, "When warriors that powerful face off, the damage they do should be powerful as well!" Kaioushin clutches his head, shaking it and looking away. "DAMN IT!" Babidi turns back to Dabura. "We did it, Dabura!" He laughs. "Yes, Babidi-sama." Babidi looks back to his sphere. Kaioushin, "How can this be happening!? To wind up this horribly...! I've made a huge mistake!" But aside from the glowing, still Majin Buu's sphere does nothing.

Son Goku and Vegeta continue their fight. Vegeta shouts and they throw up a cloud of dust, racing right past the 'camera'. Their fight drives them into the side of a mountain, and of course, it collapses. Goku emerges from the dust cloud and Vegeta follows him into the sky. Vegeta throws a ki blast up at Goku, but Goku jumps to the side and dodges it. Vegeta throws another and, with a yell, Goku slices it in half, both sides exploding in the air nearby. Vegeta throws three more in quick succession, but Goku manages to dodge each, then another one shows up and he slices it in half as well. Once again, both halves fly off to either side and explode. Goku stands in the clearing smoke and Vegeta flies in behind him. He spins around and receives a knee in the gut, and he grunts in pain. He starts to fall, but Vegeta grabs him by the head, covering his mouth. He hugs Goku to him as he charges his ki and begins racing toward the ground. "What's the matter, Kakkarotto!?" The crash into the Earth and as the dust settles, Goku staggers to his feet. Vegeta shows up immediately, throwing his entire body into Goku with a strong headbutt. Goku flies back and slides through the dirt, and Vegeta throws a ki blast after him. Goku jumps up and the blast hits some rocks behind him. Goku disappears into the explosion. Vegeta immediately throws another ki blast just to his left (viewer's right) of the first one, and the 'camera' moves over to show Goku crouching behind some more rocks. "Die, Kakkarotto!" He lunges forward with his arm outstretched, but when the dust clears, Goku's gone. He gasps. "Pretty good, Vegeta." Vegeta spins around to see Son Goku levitating quite a distance behind him, his arms crossed and his body looking relatively undamaged considering the beating he'd been taking. "You've gotten me excited."

--COMMERCIAL--

A shallow canyon of destruction runs straight out from the Tenkaichi Budokai stadium through the surrounding city. Satan helps himself to what appears to be beer. "Mr. Satan, congratulations on your victory." A throng of reporters stands around him. The first one smiles and continues, "A lot of strange things happened today. It must have been rough on you." He holds the microphone up to Satan, who replies, "Any victory is hard. A real Champion is made by his ability to overcome any difficulty." Reporter, "That's right. It looked like the runner-up, Number 18, gave you a hard time." Satan laughs. "I guess it did look like that, but to tell you the truth, if I had really gotten serious, she wouldn't have lasted five seconds against me. It would have done her no good no matter how hard she tried, but I felt I owed my fans a good fight. That's why I drew it out as long as I did." He takes another drink. A second reporter comments, "You're very considerate of your fans." He takes a few notes and holds up his pen. "I guess that's part of being a true Champion too." The other reporters nod, and with a smile, Satan replies, "That's right. You're very clever. You'll make a good reporter some day." A third man smiles and holds up a microphone. "Could you tell us the name of the technique you used in the final round?" Satan, "Hm?" He scratches his forehead. "Uh... Satan Miracle Very Wonderful Special Strong Crack Down Punch...I think..." Reporter, "Are you sure that's the same one?" Satan, "Really? I don't really remember, myself." Another man, "Why do you think those people attacked the stadium?" Satan, "I can only imagine that they wanted to challenge me to a fight. They used a lot of cheap tricks and whatnot, but I can't believe they thought those would work against me. When they saw that I deserved my title, they ran off in fear." The reporters reply in unison, "I see!"

Satan approaches the one who originally started the interview and trades the microphone for the beer bottle. He walks out into the center of the stadium and says, "I'm going to use this opportunity to announce that I, Mr. Satan, will accept the challenge of any martial artist in the world! We'll fight fair and square!" The audience, which seems to have returned to the ruined stadium for some reason (even though by all logic, the entire area should have been evacuated while a rescue team sifted through the destroyed sections...), cheers. One man jumps up in his seat and yells, "Way to go, Mr. Satan!" Next to him, someone else says, "Mr. Satan, you're cool!" Satan waves as the crowd begins to chant, "SA-TA-N!" He laughs, but of course, he suddenly stops when he sees Number 18 leaning against the wall with Marron. He holds his fist up to his forehead, embarassed and frightened, and she just glares at him. "You don't have to look at me like that... I'll pay you your money!"

The 'camera' stares off into the sky over an empty, uninhabited area. In the distance, two lights appear in the sky and quickly approach until Super Saiya-jin Trunks and Goten race by, flying right overhead. Trunks comments, "I've been sensing some impossibly large ki for a while now. Who are they? Our Papas?" Goten, "I don't know! I thought I sensed them at the Budokai arena." Trunks, "But why are we sensing all these strong ki all over the place?" Goten, "Maybe people are fighting all around here." Trunks, "I don't know what's going on. Should we stop this and go home?" Goten flails his limbs. "No way! I want to see Majin Buu, no matter what!" Trunks, "Okay, Goten. Let's go to where the biggest ki are." Goten, "Yeah!" And they rocket off in (presumably) the direction of the battle between Son Goku and Majin Vegeta.

Goku is now on the offensive, throwing punch after punch at Vegeta's face and upper torso. He knocks Vegeta back a little and kicks him hard, sending him flying up and into a nearby mountain, which then collapses on him. The rocks pile up and before Vegeta can recover, Goku throws a ki blast into the rubble. The ensuing explosion throws up a large cloud of dust and levels what remained of the mountain. A ki blast erupts from near the top of the dust cloud and catches Goku off guard. He jumps out of the way, barely dodging it. Goku flies off through the cloud and Vegeta yells, "Hold it a minute! I have a strange premonition." Goku, "It won't work! No matter what trick you use, I won't lose to you!" Small shockwaves and bursts of light explode from within the dust cloud, but that's all we see of the battle. Finally, the two Saiya-jin emerge from the cloud with Vegeta on the offensive, but Goku doing a better job of blocking than Vegeta was a minute or two ago. Goku falls back just a bit and Vegeta takes the opportunity to pull back a strong punch. He throws it and Goku quickly flies right off screen. Vegeta chases him and hits him again, and then he drops to about the same level as Goku is at when he regains control so that for just a second, they're standing apart from each other. Right after that split second, Goku charges ahead and kicks Vegeta hard in the gut.

Vegeta sails back and Goku chases. Near a lake, Vegeta regains control and fires a ki blast. Goku throws out his hands, stops the blast, and nullifies it by shrinking it down to nothing. The two of them collide again over the water, and then for some reason, after a brief hit/kick thing that we're too far away from to see much of, there's a bright flash of light. When the light fades, Goku and Vegeta are gone and in their place is an enormous splash of water. Just as it settles, it's split again as Vegeta races forward toward the 'camera' at just under the surface (but the force of his ki pushes it away so he's not actually submerged) while a ki blast chases him. Water collapses over the source of the ki blast and Goku emerges. Vegeta hovers in the air above the water and spots Goku. "Return attack!!" He holds out his hands, creates two ki blasts that quickly grow into one larger one, and powers it up for a second or two more before throwing a pretty large ball of ki at Goku. Goku throws up his hands to catch it and is easily driven toward the surface of the water. The water separates around him and we watch from a distance as a huge splash of it, glowing golden from the light of the ki blast, flies up around the point of impact. The blast explodes and obliterates nearby rock formations. When the light fades, the entire lake has been vaporized, leaving only a large crater.

The two pause in the sky again. "You did well in avoiding that attack, Kakkarotto." Goku, "It's too bad you used up that much energy though." Vegeta, "What? I haven't even started yet." He charges up his ki and disappears, and Goku follows suit. They land on the ground facing each other from several yards apart. Both are breathing heavily. "I don't believe it. I thought I'd done impossibly hard training in the Other World. It looks like we're evenly matched. You've trained even harder than I have." Vegeta, "You're wrong. I may have trained harder than you did, but you have more battle prowess than I do. No matter what I do, that difference will always exist. I realized that when I saw you fight that monster that Babidi sent..."

Yakon sucks in the light from Goku's Super Saiya-jin transformation as Goku struggles against it. Vegeta watches with his arms crossed, mildly interested, but when his eyes widen, it gives away his realization that something is about to happen. With a shout, Goku quickly charges up his ki and Yakon swallows too much at once. He bloats up and explodes.

"I was really shocked, Kakkarotto, that a super fighting genius like me would always be surpassed by a low-class warrior like you." He clenches his fist. "So I made the hardest decision I've ever made." He grins. Goku, "I see! When Babidi... That's why you allowed yourself to be possessed by Babidi." Vegeta, "Yeah. At that Budokai, the people who knew the two guys who Babidi turned into his henchmen saw them fight."

Yam watches calmly Spopovitch holds Videl up by the head with his left hand and punches her repeatedly in the stomach with the other. Finally, he drops her, but on her way down, he throws one last strong punch and she flies through the air. She slides to the edge of the ring and her head hangs off, right in front of the announcer. Spopovitch holds her up by the head again and knees her in the face. She falls to the ground. Man, "He's so different! He's so strong, it's like he's a different person!" Spopovitch begins pummeling her with slow, hard punches as she lies on the floor of the stage, unable to defend herself. Vegeta watches calmly from the sidelines.

"They said those two goons had become much stronger than they used to be." He pauses, but Goku doesn't respond. "I remembered that, and then I thought that if I allowed myself to be possessed by Babidi, the difference between us would disappear. It happened just like I hoped it would. I hated to have to do it, but..." Goku, "You needed to get so strong that you even ignored your pride enough to be possessed by him." Vegeta holds his clenched fists up about chest height. "I... I... I wanted to be just like I used to be!" He throws his head back and his arms down, charging up his ki and sending out a small shockwave that throws up dust and debris. "I wanted to fight you as a cold-hearted, single-minded Saiya-jin, with no worry about how I would affect other people!" Goku watches with a half-smile. "I hated myself!" He begins to calm down again. "It's all because of you and your influence that I've become peaceful! I had a family...and I liked it." He stares off toward the sky, and Goku still doesn't respond. "And I even started to like this planet Earth." He pauses, then continues, "So I had to be possessed by Babidi in order to return to being evil!" He closes his eyes and grins. "And because of that, I feel great." Goku looks up, his smile fading. "Really, Vegeta?" Vegeta responds by grunting and charging his ki, and Goku does the same. Wind sweeps over the rocky ground.

Majin Buu's sphere continues glowing intermittently. Around it on what appears to be something of a "stand" for it (like a pedestal, but...not), several small holes glow with the ball. The needle hovers over the M on the energy meter. "It's happening at last, Babidi-sama." Babidi looks absolutely ecstatic. "Majin Buu's seal has dissolved!!" He laughs. "Majin Buu is going to come out!!" Son Gohan and Kaioushin stand back, watching fearfully, but Gohan ready to fight whatever pops out. Steam begins to run out of the glowing holes, and Babidi gasps. Kaioushin's eyes go wide and he cries out in fear as he watches the steam rise into the air. Gohan watches with fearful curiosity. Lightning tears through the sky in the background as the storm rages on.

Back at the other battlefield, Goku and Vegeta stare each other down, and finally, Goku lunges forward. Meanwhile, two small Super Saiya-jin fly through the same storm engulfing Babidi's ship, throwing up a dust cloud and disappearing into the distance. The sky goes bright briefly, then darkens once more.
