I Won't Let You Be Reborn!! The Kamehameha to Change Fate

Steam rushes out of the pulsating sphere containing Majin Buu. The storm from the previous episode has vanished without a trace as Babidi laughs, watching the sphere. The dial on Babidi's energy meter points straight up at the M in the 12:00 position. Dabura, too, laughs. The sphere continues to fluctuate in size, blowing out steam. Gohan stares at the sphere in horror, unable to act. Parts of the sphere begin to intermittently glow pink. Wind that has picked up around the sphere blows up dust around Piccolo and Kuririn, still stones. A bird lands on Piccolo's shoulders, flapping its wings and calling to other birds. Other birds scattered all around the area respond with similar calls. Still, steam collects above the sphere and still it pulsates. The obligatory meter shot shows us that Majin Buu is, indeed, still at full power. And for anyone doubting, Babidi breaks into his giggling to say, "Dabura, Majin Buu is about to come out!" Dabura, "Y-yes." Babidi, "At last, the seal is broken." He holds his right fist (viewer's left) in the air. "At last, I get to see Majin Buu! Come out! How powerful are you, my father's creation!" He leans forward, his hand on his face, Dabura's reflection in his right (yes, yes, viewer's left) eye. "I'm anticipating it as well, Babidi-sama." Babidi, "I've waited for this day! Come out fast!" He laughs.

A huge flock of birds begins flying away. Kaioushin cries out in terror. Gohan glares at the sphere angrily. "D-Dad's damage energy caused this! The energy he's gotten because he's surpassed Super Saiya-jin... I can't believe Majin Buu's already being reborn." Kaioushin backs away. "It's no good! We have to get away, Gohan-san!" Gohan turns to him. "Huh?" Kaioushin never takes his eyes off the sphere. "Let's run, Gohan-san!" Gohan, "What are you talking about!? We can't leave things like this! If we run now, Majin Buu will be reborn!" Kaioushin finally turns away and says, "We can't beat Majin Buu, Gohan-san! Even you aren't strong enough to beat him! No one can beat him! If we stay here, we'll surely be killed!" Gohan straightens up, looking down at Kaioushin in fear. "But Kaioushin-sama...!" Kaioushin, "Hurry, Gohan-san! Let's run!" Gohan, "Kaioushin-sama!" Kaioushin, "QUICKLY!" Gohan turns back to the sphere and says more to himself than Kaioushin, "But I'm already at full power... The least I can do is..." He spreads his legs, clenches his fists, a look of hopelessness but determination (if that even makes sense) on his face. He holds his fists into the air, throws his head back and his chest out and howls as he charges up his ki.

"Gohan-san, what are you doing!?" He doesn't answer. His aura, much further out than usual, seems to be spinning around him and it throws up dust in the process. Finally, it begins to recede to normal aura size. Babidi looks back over his shoulder. "What does he think he can do?" Dabura, "Yeah." Gohan cups his hands and pulls them back to his left (viewer's right, of course) side. "I can at least do this!" Light flickers between his palms as he creates a golden ki blast. He charges it up for a few seconds. Babidi, "Huh?" Finally, with the obligatory scream, he throws it. Dabura shuts his eyes to avoid being blinded by the light and grabs Babidi, leaping out of the blast's path. The ki blast hits and Gohan keeps pushing power into it. After a few more seconds, it explodes, and as if it weren't hard enough to see or breathe, more dust is launched into the air. The sky, which as with all good ki blasts, had gone dark during the charge up and launch, returns to normal. Gohan stares out from behind his hands, still held out in position. The ball wobbles on its stand, but otherwise, nothing happens. Babidi gasps, Kaioushin is shocked, and Gohan just gets frustrated. He glares at it and the sphere resumes spitting steam into the air. Gohan pulls back his hands and tries again. Kaioushin, "Gohan-san!"

Son Goten and Trunks continue their flight over nothing on their way to meet Majin Buu. Suddenly, Goten stops and flails his limbs. "Trunks-kun! Stop, stop!" Trunks complies, turning around. "What is it, Goten?" Goten, "Something weird is going on. There's a big ki over there." He looks over in the direction of the ki. Trunks, "Yeah, got it. I've never felt such a weird power. It sure is big. But there's strong ones over there." Goten nods. Trunks continues, "And over there, too." He turns around and then suddenly rubs his head. "This is getting harder!" He turns back to Goten, crossing his arms and looking off hopelessly. Goten hears a new sound and turns around to see an enormous flock of birds. "Huh?" Trunks, "Birds." Goten, "I wonder what all those birds are doing." Trunks crosses his arms and legs. "What do they mean? I wonder if they have anything to do with Majin Buu." The birds make a lot of noise as they pass by.

The ground trembles and screams ring out at the Tenkaichi Budokai stadium. People race for the exits, screaming. Satan and the announcer stare off through the hole created by Vegeta a few episodes ago. Satan, "Wh-what is that!?" After a couple seconds, the announcer asks, "Mr. Satan, could you please calm everyone down?" Satan, "But..." The announcer slides to the edge of the stage. "If this keeps up, there will be too much panic and we won't be able to continue. We haven't even given you your prize money yet." Satan, "Huh? Prize money? I still haven't gotten the prize money! H-hurry and give it to me!" Announcer, "We can't! Not in a situation like this!" Satan grabs the microphone, throws his hand up in the air and looks back toward the throng of people trying to escape. "Everyone! Please calm down! Can't you see that Mr. Satan can handle this!?" As he speaks, he strikes random poses. "Even if it's the end of the world, I'll protect you!" Everyone stops, looking back at Satan. Woman, "It's Mr. Satan!" Random shouts go up and then cheering erupts from the stadium. Some people are just screaming, but a good number is chanting "SA-TA-N! SA-TA-N!" Satan holds one hand (the one with the mic) up in the air, laughing. "That was perfect! Perfect! I hope they hurry and give me my prize money now so that I can leave."

The Z Senshi families watch with disinterest. Muten Roshi shields his eyes from the sun as he looks off into the sky. "Hm. Something's going on...something terrible that's never happened before." Chichi looks back at him, worried. "But... Goten-chan has disappeared! And Gohan, Goku-sa, and the others came back, but then they disappeared again. What can I do!?" She begins shaking Gyuu Maou's head from behind and he cries out in pain.

--COMMERCIAL--

Strong wind blows out from the sphere and steam continues shooting into the air as Gohan pumps energy into his ki blast. The ball fluctuates in size. Kaioushin watches in fear and Babidi and Dabura simply stand off to the side, their arms up to shield against the wind. Dabura, "Damn him... Babidi-sama, should I silence him?" Babidi, who for some reason is grasping the corner of Dabura's cape, responds, "Don't worry. This won't effect Majin Buu in the least!" Gohan continues his struggle and suddenly, a lot of dust flies up. Babidi, "You fool! You're wasting your efforts!" Gohan screams and steps up his attack, now barraging it with many smaller blasts instead of one big one. A large explosion throws up dust all around the sphere and it emerges, having been launched into the air. Babidi, Dabura, and Kaioushin (in that order) gasp. Though he's the only one present who remains gasp-less, Gohan's expression tells us that even he's surprised. As the dust dissipates, the sphere falls back toward the ground.

"Alright!" Gohan pulls back his arms for one more blast. He quickly powers it up and throws it while the sphere is still in the air. The sphere is driven back by the attack and begins to brightly glow pink. The ki attack ends and the sphere drops to the ground with a loud crash, sending up more dust around it. Gohan stares at it in amazement that it can keep taking his attacks without the slightest damage. The sphere begins to roll, but Gohan simply watches and remains motionless. It stops again just a few seconds later and pink gas begins diffusing through a fissure running all the way around it. It comes out at such a high rate as to throw up another dust cloud (though it's smaller than most). The pink gas itself makes up most of the cloud and expands exponentially. When it dissipates, as it does very quickly, the sphere splits in two and each half falls to either side.

Kaioushin watches in fear, screaming. Gleefully, Babidi exclaims, "He's coming out! It's Majin Buu!!" Dabura, "Babidi-sama!" The halves of the sphere collapse on the ground and all that's inside, more pink gas, disperses. Dabura and Babidi stare in shock. Dabura, "It's...empty..." Kaioushin gasps. Gohan stares, stunned. A small wisp of pink gas remains between the two halves, slowly rising into the air. Babidi, "You're wrong... Impossible... This can't be... Why? Why?" An updraft blows whatever was left of the pink gas away and into the sky. Babidi, "Come out! I told you to come out! Majin Buu, come to me!"

Kaioushin laughs. "That was lucky!" Babidi simply stares in shock. Kaioushin points at him. "Too bad, Babidi! Majin Buu was destroyed by that attack! He spent too much time asleep and dried out!" As Kaioushin speaks, a shot of Gohan's face tells us he's not so sure. "So no matter how much energy you'd given him, he wasn't as strong as he used to be. Now the Earth is safe!" Babidi screams in frustration, anger, and disappointment. Dabura grins. "It's fine, Babidi-sama. You don't need Majin Buu. You have me. And although he's not a perfect henchmen, you have Vegeta as well." Babidi, tears welling up, says, "But Papa created Majin Buu!" Kaioushin, still pointing, says "Babidi, you sound like a crying dog to me!" He laughs. Babidi shuts his eyes tightly, angry. "Dabura, make sure you kill that damned Kaioushin!" Dabura nods. "Yes sir." He looks back over to Gohan and Kaioushin. "Hm."

Kaioushin, "I'll take out Babidi and if you defeat Dabura, Gohan-san, there will be no trace of Babidi's evil schemes left." He looks up at Gohan, smiling. "Well, it's time for you to become angry, just like Goku-san said! Please show us the true strength of your anger!" But Gohan doesn't respond, he doesn't even turn to acknowledge Kaioushin. "Gohan-san, we've almost achieved peace!" Gohan clenches his fists, staring down at the ground in shock. "Y-you're wrong..." Kaioushin, "Huh?" Gohan, "It's an incredible ki... And it's still growing... Th-this must be..." He takes a step back and looks into the sky. High above is all that pink gas. Kaioushin, "W-what are you saying!? G-Gohan-san!" Gohan, "That smoke! That's the smoke that just came out of the sphere!" An enormous cloud of the pink gas hangs in the sky. It's difficult to describe its motion exactly, but it almost seems to be "rolling" inward, and if you were to take a cross-section of it, the "rolling" would be clockwise. Babidi, "What? What are they looking at?" He and Dabura both turn to the sky. Dabura, "Is that a cloud? No, the smoke is all gathering together." Kaioushin, "I-I can't believe this!" Gohan stares up at it in shock, powerless. The smoke now seems to be revolving around its center more than it is "rolling" inward.

Vegeta screams. Suddenly, he locks arms with Goku. Both pull back their heads and try to attack with that, and they end up hitting when they attack at the same time. They pull back and try it again, and again. Each time they hit, there's a brief flash of golden light. They also, of course, have the obligatory lightning. They struggle with their arms against the opposing grip, Vegeta holding one of Goku's arms and Goku holding one of Vegeta's. Their shared aura begins to expand outward and then suddenly, they split. Hanging three or four feet above the ground in a semi-horizontal position, Vegeta pulls back his leg and kicks, but Goku blocks it with his forearm. Goku lunges forward to punch, but Vegeta dives out of the way, landing on his hands. He immediately pushes back up, thrusting his legs toward Goku's face, but Goku barely dodges. Goku manages to knee Vegeta hard in the stomach, and Vegeta cries out in pain. He flies upside down, just above the ground for maybe two yards, then springs up and looks back. Goku rushes forward to attack and Vegeta pushes himself off the ground with one hand, sweeping under Goku and tripping him. Goku falls over but catches control of himself and springs off the ground with his arms. Vegeta throws a punch but Goku dodges. He jumps away with a backward handspring, then flips over in the air and comes in from above. Vegeta gasps as Goku smashes him with both fists over the head. He attempts to kick, but Vegeta grabs his leg and with a shout, throws him into the ground. Goku cries out as he hits and Vegeta smashes his foot down, but Goku jumps out of the way and Vegeta simply hits the small crater Goku made when he fell. Goku spins around only to see Vegeta's foot. He quickly ducks and all Vegeta hits are a few golden hairs. A small chunk of ground shatters as Vegeta jumps into the sky and they lie opposite each other in a near-horizontal position a few feet above the ground. Goku grins. "Pretty good, Vegeta." Vegeta, "I'm going to show you my true strength!"

They both right themselves, leap into the air, and collide again as Vegeta shouts. They go into a very, very brief hit/kick thing (it lasts maybe a half second at most) and then separate. We just see Goku heading toward the ground and focus on Vegeta, who handsprings away. He jumps back to his feet and quickly throws a ki blast at Goku. Goku dodges it and another as he rushes forward. Vegeta begins a slow barrage (well, slow relative to what we've seen in the past, anyway...) but each one lands on either side of Goku, never actually hitting. A blast lands right in front of Goku and throws up a dust cloud. He runs right through it and the blast that Vegeta had been preparing to throw from an arm he had pulled back disappears. He backs away, then leaps backward into the air. There, he creates the blast again and, with a yell, throws it. Goku doesn't attempt to dodge and instead lets it come right in. It explodes with a small shockwave and a large dust cloud. Vegeta stares into the new crater. A grin crosses his face and he laughs. At the bottom, Goku chuckles as well as dust and smoke drift by (and off of) him.

The pink cloud slowly shrinks. Gohan, "It's an incredible ki!" Kaioushin simply stares in horror. The cloud begins to morph into the very vague shape of a person. Babidi watches with wide eyes. "H-hey! That..." He points at the cloud. Dabura, "Could that be...?" Arms and legs begin to become more clearly defined. Gohan cries out in shock, his mouth dropping open and his eyes widening. Finally, Majin Buu finishes his formation as his smilining face takes shape. He makes a face, yells "OOOOO!" and spins around (vertically, not regular "spinning around"). Everyone stares, Babidi and Dabura in surprise and Gohan and Kaioushin in fear. Majin Buu lands with a loud thud.

He wears yellow boots, then up to about his knees, we just see black. Above that is a really baggy set of white pants (I've heard it called a diaper before, but I wouldn't really say that). Above that is a black belt with a gold buckle and a script M. He wears yellow gloves that match his boots, a black vest with gold lining that looks just a little too small for him, and a purple cape that's tied around his neck. His head looks relatively normal except for his ears, which are just two protruding circles, and a..."thing" that hangs toward the back (think of it as a tail, but on the very top of his head). He also has several small holes on his head around the top that circle the head-tail thing and are equidistant from it. His entire body is pink and he's just incredibly fat.

Majin Buu looks around with a smile. His smile widens and he makes an "Ah" sound. Dabura leans over and asks quietly (not a whisper, though), "Babidi-sama, is he Majin Buu?" Babidi, "Well, I've never seen him. The only one who's seen Majin Buu before is Kaioushin." Majin Buu looks around, smiling. Kaioushin simply stares in amazement and fear, his teeth clenched and eyes wide. He almost seems to be choking back tears. "Excuse me, but is that Majin Buu?" Kaioushin, "He is. I could never forget that terrifying face..." Gohan stares at Buu in shock.

Babidi, "Hey! It looks like that's Majin Buu!" Dabura, "Him...?" Over where he originally landed, Majin Buu appears to be attempting toe-touches. He stops and leans back, stretching his back, then from side to side, stretching his arms. Babidi runs a few steps forward. "Majin Buu!" Gohan, "You called him a Majin, so I thought he'd be bigger..." Kaioushin, "It's too late...! We can't get away now!" Gohan, "You're probably right. He's certainly very strong, but he doesn't look so strong that I wouldn't have a chance." Kaioushin is stunned. "Is that true, Gohan-san!?" Gohan, "Yes, if only I can put out my real strength..."

Majin Buu takes a few steps forward. Gohan and Kaioushin both gasp, and Gohan retracts his clenched fists that were held up in something of a fighting pose. Majin Buu holds his hands out to either side and lumbers forward clumsily, yelling. [It's actually kind of difficult to describe him at times, but if you just keep in mind that always, especially at the beginning, Majin Buu acts like a child, you should be able to visualize it pretty well.] He stops, leans over, and looks from side to side, still smiling. Gohan clenches his fists more tightly and Kaioushin takes a little more of a fighting pose. Gohan concentrates, his eyes twitching, and he makes the "kch" sounds. Majin Buu rises back to his full height and Kaioushin gasps. Buu makes some random sound, then jumps back, landing several yards away and shaking the ground. He lifts his feet into the air, then jumps back up.

He steps forward again, this time toward Babidi and Dabura. Babidi watches in shock, his mouth hanging open in a perpetual "Ah!" sound, his eyes wide. Finally, he blinks and steps back. "Majin Buu!" Buu stops, leans over for a second as if he was using his entire upper body simply to nod, and then he looks over to his right (viewer's left) and walks away again. Babidi watches in surprise. "Huh? Majin Buu!" Buu ignores him and keeps walking.

Son Goku and Majin Vegeta stand opposite each other, chests heaving, still in fighting poses but obviously taking a quick breather. Electricity runs over them throughout their healthy golden auras. Finally, Vegeta's ready to go again. "Damn it!" He leaps forward. Goku holds out his arm. "Wait, Vegeta! Wait!" Vegeta suddenly stops in midair. "A ki... A huge ki has appeared. Majin Buu has already come out!" Vegeta looks off in the direction of Gohan and the others, panting.

Majin Buu jumps into the air, backflipping as he yells. He lands off balance and hops backward on one foot. Kaioushin watches in fear, gasping. Buu finally regains his balance and stops. He sighs as he plants his other foot on the ground. He stops for a minute in a sort of hunched over position, then straightens up again with a widened smile. He laughs and claps, but he seems to be the only one present who's amused by anything. Gohan and Kaioushin stare with a mixture of anger and fear and Dabura with annoyance. Babidi is speechless. Perhaps Majin Buu is too strange even for a man who looks like the result of cross-breeding between a giant fish and a giant insect. Majin Buu finally stops clapping and stands with his hands on his hips and, of course, a smile.
