A Straight Path to Destruction!? Kaioushin Despairs
A sudden cloud of dust flies over an otherwise motionless rocky area. Two Super Saiya-jin land opposite each other, Majin Vegeta on the right side and Son Goku on the left. The dust clears away as they watch each other. Goku's right arm hangs limply in front of his body, but his left arm is pulled back as if to punch, and so he's in somewhat of a half-fighting pose. He looks pretty beaten up and he's panting. Electricity flickers in his aura. Vegeta's not in much better shape. He holds both fists up in a fighting pose but looks just as beaten and his breathing is just as labored. They stare at each other for several seconds before Vegeta finally lunges forward. Goku prepares to intercept his attack, but suddenly his eyes go wide and he looks off to his left (viewer's right). He throws up a hand. "Wait, Vegeta!" Vegeta promptly stops, gasping. "It's a ki. A huge ki has just appeared." Vegeta looks off in the same direction as Goku. Goku holds up a clenched fist. "So he's out at last. That must be Majin Buu." Vegeta slowly lands, never looking away from Majin Buu's direction. When the tip of his foot finally contacts the ground, he grins. Goku looks over at him as he begins to laugh. Goku watches curiously as he continues laughing. Finally, he stops and explains exactly what's so funny. "I wondered how strong Majin Buu would be, but I thought it would be at about this level. We've gotten too strong, Kakkarotto. Ultimately strong." He holds up a fist, grinning. "Did even once you think that Kaioushin, who is supposed to be the ultimate power, was good?" As he continues, Goku looks away from him back toward Majin Buu's direction. "It was the opposite. He was surprised by our strength. So Majin Buu may look like a fearful opponent to Kaioushin, but would look like nothing to us." Goku finally responds. "N-no... You're wrong. There's something abnormal about his ki..." Vegeta angrily replies, "Don't try to talk your way out of this! I won't allow you to run from this fight!" Goku looks back to him. "Vegeta, you should have realized this for yourself." Vegeta glares at him as the wind blows up more dust.
Majin Buu taps his foot
impatiently and Babidi slowly approaches. "Hey, Majin
Buu!" He points to himself. "I-I'm Babidi, the son of
Bibidi, who created you. It's been a long time since you were
sealed in that sphere." Buu stops tapping his foot. He opens
his eyes and looks down at Babidi. Babidi smiles and holds up his
hands defensively. "I'm your master from now on." Buu
stares at him with narrowed eyes and Babidi's own eyes go wide
for just a second, then he begins laughing nervously. Buu turns
around and crosses his arms, showing his back to Babidi.
"Hmph!" Babidi, "Huh? Wha... H-hey! What's wrong!?
I'm greeting you, you should greet me back!" He runs up to
Majin Buu, shaking his fists in the air. Majin Buu looks away and
Babidi runs around to the other side, but then Buu looks away
again. "Hey, I'm talking to you! I'm you're master! Hey,
Majin Buu!" Buu hunches over and growls. Sweating, Babidi
takes a few cautious steps to one side. "Hey!! Wh-what's
wrong, Majin Buu?" Still, Buu's growling continues. He bobs
his head up and down a few times, the growling getting louder.
Suddenly, he spins around with his hands over his mouth and when
he's made a completely 180, he holds his hands out and makes a
face that simply must be seen to be believed, and so here it is.
Babidi gasps and his
eyes nearly pop out of his head. Buu flails his hands and tongue
as he makes the face and Babidi falls over backwards. Buu turns
around and laughs. Babidi sits on his hands and knees on the
ground, looking as if he's just had or is currently having a
heart attack. Dabura steps up next to him. He glares at Buu.
"Hmph. He's just an ordinary fool."
Son Gohan watches with confusion. "Wh-what's he doing?" Kaioushin, on the other hand, is glaring at Buu with a mixture of hate and fear. Babidi looks up angrily at Buu, finally on his feet again. "That..." Dabura, "I don't know why, but it looks like you failed to resurrect him successfully. When he finally appears, he has no brains and less power." Majin Buu looks over at him, no longer smiling. "Hm? Do you have a problem with that?" Buu turns all the way around (instead of just his head) and throws his fists into the air, screaming. Babidi, "Eh!?" Then Buu begins hopping from side to side on one foot, several hops in one direction, then several more back in the other. He comes to a stop in front of Dabura.
"Do you want to fight me?" Buu doesn't answer, but simply stares at Dabura, smiling. Dabura, "You don't know that you'll die. That's why you're a fool." Buu still doesn't respond, only smiling. Gohan looks over to Kaioushin. "It seems Majin Buu was a failure, Kaioushin-sama." Kaioushin, "Do you think so? This is how Majin Buu acts." Steam suddenly begins running out of the holes all over Majin Buu's head and arms. Gohan turns back to Buu. "Hm?" Dabura straightens up. "Huh?" The steam makes a screeching tea kettle sound as it flies out, and then it's abruptly cut off. Buu smiles and then the smile widens into a grin as his eyes open and he looks sadistically at Dabura. Gohan's eyes go wide and his mouth drops open as he gasps. Dabura, "Hmph. That was a stupid attempt to scare me." Suddenly, Buu pulls back his hand and drives it straight into Dabura's face. He gasps in surprise and has no time to dodge. Buu's fingers plunge into Dabura's eyes and he gouges them out. Babidi cries out in surprise. Gohan and Kaioushin look on in silent horror. Dabura grabs his face and howls in pain, his hands covering his now-empty eye sockets. Buu yells excitedly and begins to laugh as he bounces up and down on his right foot. Dabura staggers forward, still groaning in pain, and swipes at Buu. Buu easily dodges the attack and appears next to him. Dabura staggers around some more and Buu shows up right behind him. Dabura looks back and gets kicked -- hard. Babidi gasps and ducks, barely dodging Dabura. Dabura flies over his head and hits the ground, bouncing through the dust several times before coming to rest in the side of a cliff. A dust cloud hides him from view as Gohan simply stares in shock. Kaioushin's expression hasn't changed, but his body trembles a little. (Which either it didn't do earlier or I just didn't note...I really don't feel like going back to check.)
Babidi climbs back to his feet, his eyes as wide as saucers, his mouth hanging open in a constant "shocked 'Ah'" sound. The dust clears and the motionless King of Darkness lies face down, embedded in the rock. Majin Buu lands with another strange sound (this one sounds like "Bah"). He applauds himself, smiling. Babidi stares at Dabura, pointing. "Th-th-th-that was spectactular! You're incredible, Majin Buu! You easily defeated Dabura!" Majin Buu ignores him, instead bouncing on one foot while he holds his up over his head and bent inward at the elbow. Gohan is still stunned. "M-Majin Buu's ki suddenly exploded... He's incredible. He's too incredible. I don't believe it..." Kaioushin simply stands hunched over next to him, looking as if he's about to vomit.
Son Goku and Vegeta stare in amazement in the direction of Majin Buu as wind blows some dust around. Goku, "His ki suddenly shot up. Majin Buu's not what you expected!" Vegeta simply stares in shock, his eyes twitching.
Trunks blinks his eyes. "Huh?" Goten does pretty much the same. The two hang in the sky, stopped. Trunks, "F-for just an instant, I felt another incredible ki." Goten nods. Trunks rubs his head. "What's going on?" Goten, "Say, where should we go?" Trunks crosses his arms. "Hm. That's a good question. The feeling I get from this way is a little icky." He points straight ahead in the direction they were probably flying before they stopped. Goten grins. "That must be the Majin." Trunks nods. "Yeah. The way with the Majin looks more interesting." Goten nods. Trunks, "Alright! Let's go!" Goten, "Yeah!" They both regain their auras and rocket away, corkscrewing around each other.
--COMMERCIAL--
The Tenkaichi Budokai stadium is pretty quiet. The crowds are gone and the stands are filled now only with attendants cleaning and sweeping. A couple more clean up the stage. Inside one of the numerous buildings, someone (obviously Mr. Satan, although we only see his legs) steps into the shower. He turns the knob and water begins to run. As steam begins to fill the shower, Satan scrubs himself and then stops and stands to just let the water run down on his face. He opens his eyes. "That was no trick." As Satan stares in shock and fear, Vegeta grins. He holds his right arm (viewer's left) straight out so that it's perpendicular to his body. It glows briefly and a ki blast flies out into the stands. The ensuing explosion vaporizes a large section of the stadium as well as anyone unfortunate enough to be in the way. The Z Senshi families, only a few yards away from the new hole, stare in shock. A huge cloud of smoke billows out and runs over the stage, carrying with it people's possessions such as hats and "SATAN" signs. Vegeta smirks. Satan reaches up and turns the knob. The water slowly stops, and Satan stares at the ground (we hope) in concentration. "What are they...?" He steps out of the shower, drying his hair with one towel while he wears another wrapped around his waste. He passes in front of a foggy (well, it looks foggy, but that could just be poor picture quality) mirror and opens a mini-fridge. He pulls out a bottle (of beer, presumably) and pops off the cap. He takes a drink. "Something is... Something is about to happen..." Suddenly, the sound of people screaming in the halls fills the room. The door swings open and a whole pile of reporters falls into the room. "Congratulations, Mr. Satan!" Someone else, "Congratulations on your victory!" Another, "What do you think about what happened this year?" People begin taking pictures. Satan grins. "It's only natural that I won!" He laughs, and as the whole group of reporters watches, his bottom towel falls to his ankles. The entire crowd murmurs "Ah..." and everyone with a camera begins snapping pictures. Satan simply stares.
Goku flies back and lands. He quickly leaps into the air again, the ground he was standing on shattering. Vegeta lands in the new dust cloud and lunges at Goku, screaming. He pulls back his arm to punch, but Goku catches it. When Goku counters with a punch of his own, Vegeta catches that, and so they stand locked together, each one holding one of the others' fists. Goku, "We shouldn't be doing this! We're responsible for that monster's release!" Vegeta, "Why should I care!? That has nothing to do with our fight!" Goku, "He'll kill everyone! Everyone! Including Bulma and Trunks!" Vegeta struggles with that for just a second, then screams, "SHUT UP!" He knees Goku hard in the midsection. "Shut up!" He pulls back his arm and elbows Goku hard in the face. "SHUT UP!!" Goku flies back, but quickly catches himself. Vegeta chases after him and the fight begins again just a few yards back. "I allowed myself to be charmed by Babidi to get rid of that weakness!" As he speaks, he goes on a punch-based offensive, but Goku manages to dodge each hit. "I don't care what happens to anyone!" He finishes with one more strong punch that Goku catches. "You're lying." Vegeta gasps. "You're lying!" Goku punches Vegeta hard in the face and Vegeta falls back. He crashes to the ground, making a small imprint. Goku stands over him and Vegeta sits up, glaring angrily at him. "You didn't completely sell your soul." Vegeta stands and spits some blood to the side. He wipes more blood from his chin, but leaves his fist over most of his face, glaring at Goku over his arm. They stare at each other, and finally, Vegeta drops his hand. He turns to Goku, grinning. "I understand. We're just putting off this fight. It looks like you're worried about Majin Buu and won't be able to concentrate on the fight anyway." Goku, "Vegeta!" Vegeta holds out his hand. "Give me a senzu. We've both used up a lot of strength." He walks over toward Goku. "Yeah." Goku reaches into his gi to retrieve the bag. Vegeta's smile fades and he walks up behind Goku. Goku digs around for the senzu bag. "If we work together, I'm sure we can defeat Majin Buu!" Vegeta clenches a fist and then holds it with his other hand so that he looks like he's about to swing a baseball bat, but the bat is his arms themselves. Goku smiles as he continues searching for the senzu, and Vegeta suddenly smashes him in the back of the head. Goku cries out in surprise and pain, his eyes wide, his mouth hanging open. He falls to the ground, fading out of Super Saiya-jin on the way. He lands with a loud thud and drops the senzu. The last one falls out of the bag as Vegeta stands with his arms still held up after hitting Goku.
"Even you had to let your guard down when you got tired." He reaches down and picks up the senzu. He stares at it for a moment, then puts it in his mouth. He chews and swallows it (I'm sure you're by now familiar with the process known as "eating") and his aura suddenly grows much stronger with more sparks of electricity running through it. The recovery alone causes such a jump in his strength that he sends out a small shockwave (albeit, very, very small) that throws up dust around him. He looks down at Goku. "I let Majin Buu loose. I'll take care of him." He takes a few steps away, then stops, but doesn't look back at Goku. "I'll finish the fight with you after that." He grins and looks back over his shoulder. "...if I'm still alive."
Gohan stares in fear and amazement at Majin Buu. Kaioushin, the same. "Incredible! That's incredible! Well, Majin Buu, you have to do what I tell you. I'm your new master!" Buu turns to him, holds his hands up to his face, and makes a very toned-down version of the same face from earlier. Babidi glares at him, clenching his teeth. Buu waves his hands at Babidi. "Do you think you can rebel against me?" Buu suddenly stops. "I studied Papa's notes. I've memorized the spell that will imprison you in the sphere." Buu, "Huh?" Babidi, "I bet you don't want to go back there. Eh?" Buu straightens up, smiling. He bows, and Babidi laughs. "Alright! That's what I wanted to see!"
"Kaioushin-sama... It looks like Majin Buu is still a child. If we kill Babidi, maybe he won't be so bad." Kaioushin looks over at Gohan. "Th-that won't work! Without Babidi, we won't be able to re-imprison Majin Buu!" He turns back to Buu and Babidi. "Majin Buu is a terrible monster despite his appearance. Eventually, Babidi won't be able to control Majin Buu and he will have to return him to the sphere." The two halves of the split sphere lie where they fell earlier. "We'll have to wait until then. There's nothing I can do, and I'm a Kaioushin. I hate myself. It shouldn't have happened like this. I was sure we could defeat Babidi and prevent Majin Buu's resurrection. If I'd known that you humans had surpassed my power, we could have used that other method, too." Gohan, "That other method?" Kaioushin, "It's too late. We won't be able to escape from Majin Buu. Neither one of us will survive." Gohan turns to him (all the way, not just looks over at him). "What are you talking about!? The least we can do is get away from here."
Babidi points toward Gohan and Kaioushin. "Alright!" Kaioushin gasps. "Okay, Majin Buu, this is your first order. Kill those two!" Kaioushin's eyes go wide and he gasps. Gohan has a similar, but gasp-less, reaction. Majin Buu takes a step forward, throws his arms in the air, and yells something that sounds kind of like his own name (and very well could be). Gohan turns and grabs Kaioushin by the arm. Kaioushin gasps. "Kaioushin-sama!" Gohan begins running and Kaioushin has no choice but to run backwards or be dragged. Gohan's aura appears as he lifts into the air, pulling Kaioushin with him. They race away, quickly disappearing into the distance. Majin Buu smiles as he watches them go. Gohan, "We'll be alright! I'm confident in my speed!" Babidi shakes his fist. "What are you doing, Majin Buu!? They're getting away!" Majin Buu leans forward with one leg back as if preparing to sprint and suddenly rockets into the sky, throwing up a huge cloud of dust. Babidi hacks and coughs, then finally looks up and sees that everyone is gone. "Huh? H-he disappeared...!"
Majin Buu races through the air after the fleeing Gohan and Kaioushin. He quickly gains on them, and Gohan looks back. He sees no one back there and finally looks ahead again. His eyes go wide and he gasps, suddenly stopping right in front of Majin Buu. Buu makes a face and Gohan stares up at him incredulously. "That's impossible!" Kaioushin gasps. Buu pulls back an arm. "Die!" Gohan watches, still stunned by Buu's speed, and doesn't even attempt to move. He gets smashed in the head by Buu's left (viewer's right) arm and plummets toward the Earth, crashing hard into the rocky terrain below. Kaioushin cries out in fear and shock. He turns from Gohan back to Buu, who floats just above him with his arms and legs spread. Unable to fight or escape, Kaioushin simply stares in horror with wide eyes and a gaping mouth.
