Oh! What a Surprise!! Super Saiya-jin 3

Majin Buu and Super Saiya-jin Son Goku hover in the air high above a coastal city. Goku and Buu grin at each other. Babidi, "A Super what that surpasses what? What are you talking about? What in the world are you talking about!? I didn't understand a word you said." He turns to Buu. "Majin Buu, hurry and kill him so that we can get to the Western Capital." Buu waves his arms and legs around, his cape billowing out behind him as he hoots. Goku glares at him. "Looking at him, you'd think he's just a weakling, but even Vegeta wasn't able to do anything about him." Buu smiles, smashing his right fist into his left hand. "I'm going to have to delay him long enough for Trunks to get the Dragon Radar."

Piccolo and the group at God's Palace watch via Babidi's worldwide transmission of the upcoming battle. Without opening her eyes, Bulma asks, "Has Trunks gotten to the Capsule Corporation building yet?" Piccolo, "No. He's still on his way." Trunks is, in fact, not on his way, but is actually stopped above a city, staring back in the direction of Goku and Buu. Goku, "Hm? Trunks' ki isn't moving. He's stopped. Hurry up. I don't want to take on that Super Saiya-jin form if at all possible." Trunks faces Goku's direction, but with his eyes shut, watching the action.. "Is this really Goten's father's ki? It's an amazing ki. And he was able to catch up and pass me in a moment... Is that the power of his Shunkan Idou?" The 'camera' on the fight moves up from underneath the plane of battle staring up, to behind Buu's shoulder, looking at Goku, then a close-up of Goku's face. Goku, "Can you hear me!?" Trunks cringes. "Hurry and get the radar!!" Trunks gasps. "Y-yes!" He spins around and races toward the Western Capital.

Babidi stares at Goku in surprise. "What!? Who are you talking to?" He looks back over his shoulder, but of course, sees no one there. D-did you say 'radar'?" Majin Buu also looks back behind himself, shielding his eyes from the sun with a hand over his forehead. Goku grins. "It's nothing. Don't worry about it."

Trunks looks back toward Goku again, but continues on his way. "It looks like he's about as strong as Papa." He raises his head, looking ahead again. "But anyway, I have to get the Dragon Radar as fast as I can."

Babidi narrows his eyes and smiles. "It looks like you're planning something useless." Goku, "We'll see." He grins at them. "I can't help it, I have to give Trunks some time." He fades out of Super Saiya-jin. Babidi, "Huh?" Buu, "Why did you go back to normal? Are you giving up?" Goku, "No, it's not that. I'm going to explain Super Saiya-jin simply, so you can understand." Buu repeats the words slowly. "Super...Saiya-jin...?" Babidi, "Why should we care about that? I don't want to know about that." Goku, "Oh, don't say that." He then launches directly into the explanation. "First, this is my normal state." He turns Super Saiya-jin. "This is Super Saiya-jin. And this is a Super Saiya-jin that surpasses Super Saiya-jin." As he speaks the second sentence, he transforms again. A small, but noticeable change takes place. His aura expands a little and his hair seems to take on a "sharper" (for lack of a better term) look. There's also lightning, of course. "I guess you could call this Super Saiya-jin 2." Buu nods enthusiastically, paying close attention. Babidi, "What a stupid transformation. It's not so much different from the other one." Goku grins, lightning running over his face. "And..."

Piccolo, "He's got a form that surpasses the form that surpassed Super Saiya-jin!?" Kuririn asks nervously, "You're bluffing, aren't you Goku? There's nothing above that..." Goku, "...this..." Muten Roshi gasps. "What has Goku done this time...?" Goku hunches over, clenching his fists. "...surpasses even that Super Saiya-jin!!" He begins screaming, sweat running off his face. We get a side view of his face and the background turns from a normal sky to pure gold. Piccolo gasps, taking on almost a pained expression. A gold streak cuts diagonally through the background behind him, then another does the same, but horizontally, to Kuririn, and another diagonal on Goten. Son Goku is surrounded by a sphere of golden light. Unlike a regular Super Saiya-jin aura, the background behind Goku can't be seen through the light. Goku's scream rings out in the sky.

Kaiousama watches from the Other World. "Stop it, Goku! If you do that, you'll use up your remaining time! You have a time limit!!" Large waves run out in rings from the ocean directly beneath Goku. Buu and Babidi watch, Buu somewhat indifferent (not completely, but he doesn't really seem to care much), and Babidi shocked. Clouds are drawn toward Goku. Piccolo's eyes open as the ground begins to shake. "Th-that's incredible! His ki is rising at a furious rate!" Goten opens one eye and keeps the other shut to continue watching. "Dad...!" Kuririn, "Th-this...!" Trunks gasps and looks back toward Goku again, eventually stopping and turning around completely. "Amazing!! He's gotten even stronger!" The clouds in the sky around Trunks seem to be streaming toward a single point. He hovers there in the air, staring in shock for a few seconds more, and then suddenly remembers. "Oh no! I have to hurry!"

Clouds continue moving toward Goku, almost as if he's absorbing them. Below, small boats are tossed around in the suddenly very choppy ocean. Water crashes against rocks and begins to flood the coastal areas of cities. The wind seems about to blow trees over completely. People in the city below scream as the ground shakes around them. A large sign falls into the street with a loud crash. We return to a side view of Goku's face against a gold background. He continues screaming, and then the view, still with a gold background, moves to behind him. We see that his hair is no longer sticking up, but is pushed straight back now. As lightning dances around him, it begins to lengthen. Babidi struggles just to stay in place against the wind blowing against him. A bright gold light flickers around Goku. Sometimes, it's just the 'normal' sphere of light described earlier, and sometimes it's a bright flash that completely conceals Goku from view. Kaiousama holds his arms toward the sky. "Stop! Don't do that, Goku!" But of course, if Goku can even hear him, he ignores him.

We get another shot of the rough ocean. In the city, a large crack appears on the side of one building, then another. A car suddenly screeches to a halt in the street. Above, the traffic lights begin to explode. Glass rains down in the street, causing people to cover their heads and scream. In a store window, a display of several TVs loses its picture, then explodes. One more surviving TV shows the same newscast that the previous display had been showing, and now we see the anchor staring off screen, screaming in alarm, before that TV goes out as well.

And still, Goku's transformation goes on. He throws his head back. The ground shakes. Chaouzu hovers in the air, staring up in shock, and a stunned Tenshinhan struggles to keep his balance. Ten, "The entire Earth is trembling! Is that Goku's power causing this? Even though we're this far away!?" At the Tenkaichi Budokai arena, the scene is no different as Satan attempts to dodge falling pieces of exercise equipment. "W-w-w-what the hell is going on!?"

Goku hunches over again and a new side view from farther out than previous ones shows how long his hair has grown. We get another view from further out of the golden sphere of light with clouds streaming toward it. The background shrinks away as a circle encloses around Goku's ball of light, and the rest of the screen turns black. Goku throws back his head again and we get another close-up of his face. The camera dives in toward his turquoise eye and the screen turns black. Blue irregular diamond shapes begin flying toward the camera, and a roaring Oozaru appears from the bottom of the screen. The blue diamond shapes disappear and the black background turns to a starfield. The Oozaru transforms into a nude baby Goku, curled up in a small ball. The baby begins to spin head over heels and a ball of golden light envelopes him. Shots of the Super Saiya-jin eye, the point during the detransformation from Oozaru to baby where we saw an adult Goku, and the baby itself begin flashing up on the screen. A moon appears in the top corner of the screen against the starfield and we get a brief view of the diamond things again, then the camera pulls back out through Goku's turquoise pupil. The entire area is bathed in golden light as Goku stands with his head thrown back, screaming. Buu screams, Babidi holds up his arm to shield his eyes. The light fades away and the wind dies down; Babidi's cape comes to a rest behind him and he lowers his arm, gasping as he looks at Goku's new transformation.

Goku no longer has just a regular aura. He's actually glowing gold. His hair now goes back and down instead of up, and it's increased length now takes it to about his waist. His hair isn't just gold in color, but like the rest of his body, it's actually glowing. His eyebrows have disappeared, and one strand of hair hangs down over his face. He glares at Babidi and Buu. Babidi stares at him with wide, incredulous eyes. Lightning dances over his body as the camera finally pulls out to give us a full view. The glowing has stopped, replaced by a conventional gold aura. One by one, we see reactions from the Z Senshi. First Goten, then Piccolo, Kuririn, Trunks. Standard wide eyes and gasp reaction. Goku grins. "This is Super Saiya-jin 3. I'm sorry it took so long, but I'm still not used to this transformation." His hair flows behind him as if blown by a light breeze, and the electricity running around him persists. Babidi gasps once again. Buu stares at him with more of an almost confused reaction.

Muten Roshi, "I-is that really Goku!?" Light glints off the edge of the Zetto Sword, frozen in the air. Son Gohan stares in shock off into the distance. "I-I can't believe this ki belongs to my father on Earth! N-no, it's not..." Kaioushin, "N-no, that's right!" Gohan gasps and looks over to him. Kaioushin, "That's Son Goku-san. It's an incredible amount of power, but it is him." Gohan looks from Kaioushin back to the direction of the Earth. Kibit, "I can't believe it! His power is strong enough to reach this holy planet!" Gohan, "D-dad! What in the world's happened to you!?"

--COMMERCIAL--

Son Goku stands before Babidi and Buu; his power still pushes a ring of waves out around him in the ocean below, but things are significantly calmer now that his transformation is complete. Babidi clenches his fists, growling; Buu simply smiles. Goku stares. Buu points to him, still smiling. "You've got a scary face, but I'm not scared of you at all!" Babidi, "Th-that's right, you fool! I don't care if you ARE a Super Whatever 3, it's all just a front! You can take him easily, Majin Buu." He smiles, his eyes darting from Goku to Buu, then back to Goku. Goku, "That's right, do it quickly." Babidi laughs. "Everyone on Earth is watching this through me. Buu, put him to shame!" Buu hoots and smiles. Goku, "Trunks still isn't there yet."

No, but he's damned close. As Trunks continues ahead, the Western Capital comes into view, and then the Capsule Corporation building. He lands in front and runs inside. "I'm home!" Piccolo opens his eyes, grinning. "He's there! Trunks is there!" Bulma, "Yes! Now the Dragon Radar is safe! Way to go, Trunks!" Trunks' voice calls out through the hallways in the CC building. "Grampa!" He runs down a hall, emerging in a large room where lots of animals reside, and where is grandfather is sitting. "Welcome home, Trunks." Bulma's mom walks out carrying a tray. "You got back just in time. I've just made some tea." Trunks anxiously jogs in place as he declines her offer. "I don't have time for that now!" Bulma's mom, "Oh, maybe you'd rather have milk than tea." A bird lands on her shoulder. "Or how about some hot chocolate?" Trunks, "No, that's not what I need!" Bulma's mom, "Let's see... What else do you like, Trunks? How about juice? Or maybe you'd rather have some iced coffee." Trunks, "You're wrong, you're wrong!" He turns to Dr. Briefs. "Where's the Dragon Radar?" Dr. Briefs, "Huh? Dragon Radar...?" Trunks, "Yeah!" Dr. Briefs, "Let's see, where was that Dragon Radar?" A dog runs up, putting its paws in his lap. "I'm pretty sure..." Trunks, "Hurry and tell me!! I'm in a rush!"'

Babidi growls. "Kill him, Majin Buu!" Goku stares down out the corner of his eye toward the ocean. Buu holds his arms up and cries out some non-word, and then Goku suddenly charges forward. He disappears. Buu, "Huh?" He turns to see Goku above and to the left of him. Babidi cries out in surprise and backs away as Goku knees Buu in the face. Majin Buu plummets. "Buu!" Goku appears in his path and kicks him back up, then catches up with him back on the way up and grabs him by the little thing on his head that he uses to turn people into candy. Buu's inertia carries him forward and the tassel stretches, but ultimately pulls him straight back to Goku's waiting fist. Goku smashes him in the head with with a strong punch and the little thing stretches again. Babidi gasps. Goku begins attacking like this, punching him and then pulling him back by the tassel. It goes on for several seconds and for whatever reason, be it that he can't or he just doesn't, Buu never defends himself. "What are you doing, Majin Buu!?" Goku continues beating up on Buu.

Everyone is watching the action at God's Palace. Kuririn, "Incredible! Incredible, Goku!" Goten smiles. "Dad! I know you can win!" Piccolo, "Let's see." Goten opens his eyes, looking quizzically at Piccolo. "Huh?" Piccolo continues. "Goku's certainly gotten stronger than we ever imagined, but we still don't know if he's strong enough to defeat Majin Buu." Bulma, "I-is Majin Buu really that strong?" Piccolo, "Yeah." Goten stares up at Piccolo, confused and suddenly a little less confident, but says nothing. Finally, he just shuts his eyes and returns to the fight. People on the ground are watching the fight, too. Man, "Oh! Someone's fighting Majin Buu!" Someone else, "Unbelievable!" And someone else, "I don't know who you are, but good luck! Defeat Majin Buu!"

Son Goku is still attacking by the tassel-pull/punch combo he's got going. "What are you doing, Buu!?" Finally, Goku pulls him back for one last, strong punch, then grips the tassel with both hands and begins spinning around. After reaching what he decides is sufficient speed, Goku lets go. Babidi cries out again as Buu goes sailing into the city below. He smashesi nto a high rise building. A big cloud of dust erupts around his entry, and then a straight crack runs down diagonally until another small dust explosion occurs near the ground on the other side. The top half of the building begins to slide down the bottom half, and the building collapses in an enormous cloud of dust. Goku stares down at the destruction as Babidi laments behind him.

A crowd of people has gathered around the building. Man, "Hey, what the hell!?" Someone else, "What's going on!?" Suddenly, the a clear path through cuts the dust into two clouds. Confused citizens stare into the hole as Majin Buu races back into the air. He stops in the sky, looking down for a moment, then he looks up at Goku and grins. Goku glares down at him, his body facing one direction with his head turned to Buu. Babidi laughs. "Way to go, Majin Buu!" Goku, "He was barely hurt." Still smiling, Buu holds up his hands and yells another random sound. Goku, "Hm?" He turns around and watches in shock as Buu begins launching a volley of ki blasts. "That's Vegeta's attack!" Goku begins batting away each blast as it comes, and Babidi struggles to dodge the deflected ki. Buu halts his attack and appears behind Goku. Goku turns around, and Buu smiles at him. The smile turns to an evil grin as Goku sizes him up again. "Just by fighting a little, he can steal an opponent's techniques." Babidi, "What are you doing, Buu!? Hurry and kill him!"

Buu pulls back a fist as if he's about to punch from several yards away. Goku, "Huh?" He squints at Buu, and is surprised to see Buu's fist start flying at him while Buu remains stationary. He gasps, but can't react fast enough, and is punched square in the face. He falls back a little and for several seconds, lies like that. Finally, he turns his head and his smile reveals that he wasn't really hurt at all by the attack. Buu stares at him, then smiles. Meanwhile, Kaiousama is still watching from the Other World. "Goku, that's enough! End it now! If you use that unworldly power, you'll use up all the time you have left on Earth! You have to teach the kids how to fuse!!"

Goku flies forward again, kicking Buu hard in the face. Buu falls back, but quickly regains control and launches himself up again. He punches Goku in the face, and Goku responds in kind. They then move into a brief hit/kick/block thing, which ends when they both hold out a hand and, palm to palm, form a ki blast. It expands out as one big ball of light around them and explodes, forcing them apart but dealing neither one any significant damage. They stare each other down for a few seconds. Buu smiles. "You're pretty strong for a good guy." Goku smiles back. "Same to you." Babidi, "Hey! Majin Buu, why are you wasting my time!?" Buu's smile disappears and he growls. "Hurry and kill him!" Buu, "Shut up!!" Babidi stares at him with wide eyes, taken aback. What!? How dare you say that to me!? Especially to me, you're master! Hey! Are you listening to me, Majin Buu!? Hurry and finish him off so we can keep going!" Goku, "Hm?" He looks out of the corner of his eye toward the Western Capital. "Trunks still hasn't left the Western Capital." He looks up and stares straight ahead. "Trunks! What are you doing!? Hurry and get it!" Babidi, "Huh!? Trunks...?"

Trunks and Dr. Briefs dig through boxes and drawers of things. Trunks, "It's not here!" He stops and looks up at Dr. Briefs. "Where is it!?" Dr. Briefs, "I'm sure it's around here somewhere."

Babidi laughs. "You're trying to get in touch with that Trunks kid? Hey! Majin Buu, beat this guy up and force him to tell us where Trunks is!" Buu's evil grin returns. "It looks like I'm going to have to get Trunks more time." Goku disappears. Buu, "Huh?" He appears right over Buu's head and kicks him hard in the face. Buu sails back but catches himself, and Goku appears right in front of him. He begins kicking Buu in the face, and Buu does nothing to defend himself. Kuririn smiles. "Way to go, Goku! Keep it up!" Goten, "Dad..." Piccolo watches the fight in silence.

Son Goku appears right next to Buu and punches him again in the face. Buu falls back several feet and then stops himself. He looks up at Goku and fires a pink ki blast out of his mouth. Goku bats it away and continues forward. Meanwhile, at the Capsule Corporation building, Dr. Briefs continues digging around for the Dragon Radar as Trunks loses it, simply running back and forth and screaming, "It's not here, it's not here, it's not here!" He finally stops and faces the camera. "It's not anywhere!"

Majin Buu charges forward again and begins throwing punches, but Goku dodges each one. The image freezes with Goku glaring down at Buu after another dodged punch.
