Direct Hit on Earth!! Cell's Kamehameha

Small bits of rock from the stage rise into the air around Son Goku, who is currently undergoing a Super Saiya-jin power up. Cell smiles. Satan, the reporter, Piroshiki, Calorie, and Pizza simply watch in disbelief, occassionally screaming or whimpering. Lightning cracks in the sky above the stage. Ten, "Oh no... I don't believe this!" Kuririn whimpers. Trunks, "What power!" Vegeta, "Im...impossible!" Piccolo, "And he has even more power?" Son Gohan watches his father, impressed of course, but he doesn't look too surprised.

Son Goku holds a fist up, pulls it down, sticks both arms straight up in the air. With a scream, his power-up concludes; a tremendous force flows outward from his body. A cloud of dust expands out around the ring. Satan's friends are thrown back completely. The Z Senshi are, of course, able to withstand the force of the power-up, but the high wind generated by Son blows forcefully at their clothes and hair, if hair is present. Piccolo takes the full force of the wind, Trunks throws up an arm to shield himself, Kuririn shuts his eyes and leans into the wind, and Vegeta watches in shock and anger, but doesn't shield himself.

The dust begins to settle, the rocks begin to return to Earth. Cell stares at the cloud surrounding Goku. Goku begins to come into view as the daylight returns to normal. A strong golden aura flows around him. He glares at Cell. Satan's entourage begins to recover. Satan grunts, still holding up a hand at the settling cloud of dust. The reporter stands up and looks around. "What? What was that? The moment I thought his body started flashing, something exploded. Then... What's going on?" He pulls off his glasses and wipes the lenses. He watches Goku, then replaces the glasses. "What was... Now it looks like he's surrounded by some golden fire!" The disciples and Pizza gape at Goku. Satan jumps up behind them. "It's a trick! Yeah."

Cell smiles at Goku. The smile suddenly grows wider. His wings straighten up. He raises his fists to about waist height. He screams, and he begins to emit a bright light that pierces the clouds above. A shockwave explodes out around him, and again, high wind is generated. The Satan Party is thrown even further back. Piccolo's feet begin to slide back through the ground. Being even weaker than Piccolo, Kuririn fares no better; in fact, he's even worse off. Piccolo manages to steady himself, but Kuririn keeps sliding. Vegeta watches angrily, and Tenshinhan shields himself from the wind. Gohan is the only one who doesn't seem to be worried. He's not being blown back, he's not surprised or frightened by Cell; the only thing the wind does to him is blow his clothes and hair around. "Father."

Cell's power up ends abruptly. The light returns to normal, the dust begins to fade, and Cell stands at the center of a golden, Super Saiya-jin-like aura. Goku smiles. Reporter, "The same thing just happened to Cell as well." Satan, "Hmph. I think they're both using cheap tricks." Pizza recovers and sits up beside them. "Yes, if it's not a trick, what else could it be?" Piroshiki and Calorie hold each other, whimpering. They shake their heads fearfully, but don't speak. Kuririn, "Right now, full power combat has begun."

Son Goku stares at Cell, Cell smiles back at him. Son walks forward; the Z Senshi watch intently; Vegeta, of course, stands straight with his arms crossed. Satan's entourage watches, stunned. Piroshiki and Calorie hide behind a boulder, still hugging each other. Son Gohan watches silently as his father approaches Cell. The two auras meet, and fuse into one aura down the front (although still remain separate at the points where they would part ways as separate things). Goku smiles up at Cell and Cell smiles back down at him.

Cell, "Come." Goku, "Right." He delivers a strong punch to Cell's gut that lifts the monster off his feet and into the air. Another punch that throws Cell back a little. Another strong hit that sends him sailing into the sky. Son appears above him; he hits Cell again. Cell bounces onto the stage and almost runs into the post at one of the platform's four corners. He catches himself, upside down in the air. Son Goku lands back on the platform again. Cell lowers himself a little, not even righting himself, and smiles at Goku. "Very good, Son Goku. This is what I wanted." He spins around to his feet as he speaks, and we watch Goku rotate from his point of view. "The pleasures of battle cannot be savored unless both warriors are of equal strength." He wipes his face. Goku moves back into a battle position. "Yeah, I think so, too."

Vegeta, "Is... Is this Kakkarotto's true power?" Trunks, "Incredible! Goku-san is incredibly strong!" Kuririn, "Incredibly strong ki. He's really different from other people." Gohan watches the others. "Why is everyone so surprised? He's really strong, but..."

Cell drops to the stage across from Goku. Goku looks over at him. "Hmm?" Suddenly, Cell rushes at him. Goku throws up his arms to block, and they go into another temporary stalemate - a very temporary stalemate. After probably less than a second, Cell breaks it to begin a barrage of punches. Goku blocks the punches with his forearms and swings his leg around under Cell. Cell is tripped and begins to fall right on Goku's waiting fist, but as Son is about to punch, Cell vanishes. Goku hits air. Cell appears behind Goku and punches. Goku vanishes, Cell also hits only air. They begin fighting in the air again, eventually moving right over the already frightened and confused Satan group. Yamucha and Tenshinhan watch the battle. Goku and Cell drop back down to opposite corners of the stage and spring back at each other. Goku disappears en route. Cell follows, they still clash right over the center. Goku throws up a kick at their meeting point, Cell blocks it. Cell hits Goku hard in the stomach, Son counters with a strong kick to the side of the head. They both throw a punch at the same time, their fists smash into each other. They both try to knee the other, and the same fate befalls their legs. Cell kicks up, getting Goku in the chin. Goku is thrown back, but recovers himself. He stands back up, Cell flies in with his leg out, ready to kick Son. Goku grunts when the foot connects, but gets a good punch in on Cell's face, too. Cell slides across the stage and rises back to his feet again. Goku lands back on the stage.

Everyone is amazed, Z Senshi and Satan group alike (well, probably not Gohan, and Vegeta probably tries to hide it, but neither of them are shown). Reporter, "Cameraman, did you get that?" Cameraman, "No, it was impossible. They were just too quick!" Reporter, "I see." Mr. Satan gapes at them; despite what he's been saying the whole time, it's quite obvious he doesn't consider this a trick. The reporter holds the mic up to him. "They were fast, weren't they Mr. Satan?" Satan looks down at him. "Hmm?" A pause. "Well, they were so/so." He laughs.

Cell stands at one end of the stage; Son Goku stands at the other, facing Cell's back. Goku's arms are to his side, ready to continue the fight. Cell chuckles. Goku, "Hmm?" The chuckle turns to a laugh. Eventually, the laugh turns to an evil villain maniacal laugh. He turns around. "I'm enjoying this, Son Goku." He crosses his arms over his chest. Goku's eyes go wide, and he gasps. Ten, "Wh, what?!" Yamucha, "That's..." Kuririn, "Impossible!" Suddenly, there is no longer one Cell, but four. In unison, all four straighten up. "Shin no Ken!" Yamucha, "Damn it! Cell has collected Tenshinhan's cells as well!" Ten, "Damn it..."

Son Goku stares silently at the Cells for a short few seconds, then hunches over again into a battle stance, ready to take them all on. The Z Senshi watch, shocked and frightened, some of them gaping at Cell. And over at the Satan camp, where the mouths never close and the eyes never blink, the reaction is not much different, save for being even more surprised, since they had no knowledge of such a technique even existing. "Mr. Satan, an explanation, please." Satan, "Yeah..."

Son smiles. "Already? You're going to use that proven technique to bring about a sure death?" Cell tries to stifle laughter (since they all act in unison, I shall refer to them all collectively as Cell). They spring forward and begin moving around Goku, doing close fly-by's where two Cells sandwich him, or simply jumping around in the sky above him. They land, with one Cell at each corner of the stage. Goku looks around at each one, smiling. "But it won't work on me." The Cell he's looking at smiles back. A Cell rushes at him. "Is that so?" He goes into a hit/kick/block thing with one of the Cells. Another Cell appears behind him, and it continues like that. He smacks one Cell with his head. Two Cells appear above him. They attack him from either side, then jump back and fly in at him. He holds his arms up to shield himself. He goes into the "frenzy" with all of them at once. Satan, "What am I looking at?" Tenshinhan, "Damn, that technique has one weakpoint." Yamucha, "But his power and speed are equal to when he had just one body!" Ten, "I don't want to admit this, but Cell's made this more his technique than mine." Number 16, "But Son Goku is not losing." Trunks and Kuririn turn to him.

Goku nears the edge of the stage. He springs forward and smashes one Cell away with a strong punch to the face. Another Cell comes in from the side and hits him back. He crouches down, then jumps back into the air. He and Cell punch each other at the same time, and both hits connect. Another Cell knees him from the other side. They return to the starting point, with Goku and the middle and a Cell at each corner. One of them chuckles. "Son Goku, do you realize the extent of my power now?" Goku, "Yeah, I know." Cell chuckles. "But there's more beyond my absolute Perfect power." Each Cell raises two fingers to their foreheads. Goku looks around at each one and hunches over. Gohan, "That's..." Piccolo, "Damn, now it's my technique."

The tips of Cell's two fingers begin to glow. "Take this!" All at once, the four of them unleash Makkankousappo on Son Goku. He leaps into the air, and the four Cell's follow. He looks back and sees them. "I was waiting for this." He suddenly stops and smashes the first Cell to come up in the head. Because Goku's stop was so abrupt, Cell didn't see the attack coming, and the force of Goku's punch is amplified by the speed at which Cell was flying. He does the same to each Cell that comes up. When the last one reaches him, he knees Cell hard in the gut. Cell screams, bending over Goku's knee. Goku drops him. "I was waiting for you four to separate." Each Cell piles up on top of another in the middle of the stage, and once again, there is only one Cell. Kuririn, "All...Alright!"

Son lands nearby on the stage. Cell still lays face down on the ground. Trunks, "Wow, Goku-san took advantage of their differences in timing!" Kuririn, "Hm." Vegeta, "Idiots!" They turn to him. "This is basic fighting. Anyway, observe Cell's potential power." They gasp and look back at Cell. "Cell didn't.. He didn't decrease in ki at all." From the view we see, which no one in the show is privy to, we can barely see Cell's eye moving. Trunks, "Oh, no." Kuririn, "You're lying, right?"

Son Goku readies himself to continue the fight. Cell forms a red kienzan and throws it at Goku. Goku dodges. It flies right between Satan and the reporter and smashes into the ground behind them. Kuririn, "It's...Kienzan..." Cell throws another at Goku. Son flies backward, running from it for a while, then abruptly changes direction. The disc stops for a moment, then resumes following. Trunks and Kuririn gape at the scene. Kuririn, "Kienzan?" Yamucha, "He's using it like Souki-dan." Kaiousama watches from his planetoid. "That's not Kienzan or Souki-dan at all. That's the last technique Freezer used on Planet Namek. That stupid Dr. Gero..." He looks up. "What a monster he made."

Goku flies near one of the posts at the corner of the stage, then changes direction and flies back another way. The disc follows. He simply flies around, taking turns every once in a while, trying to avoid the disc. Down on the stage, Cell directs the disc through movements of his arms and body. He screams or grunts as he moves it. Goku looks down and back at it. He flies by in front of Cell and back off screen, then he flies back in the direction he came from, but up. The disc follows him the whole way. Cell smiles. Goku flies around a column, the disc follows. "Freezer's cell is telling me that you plan to emerge in front of me and defeat me. But..." He holds his arm out and forms another disc. "It won't work." He throws the second disc right at Goku. Goku gapes, and both discs slice cleanly through. Son Goku fades away. Cell turns in the other direction. "I already predicted this, as well. Goku hovers in the air just above and in front of him. Cell signals to the Kienzan, and they forward. Once again, both cut straight through Goku; Goku's after-image fades away. Cell yells out in frustration.

"You can't beat me if you continue to rely on other people's techniques." Cell turns to the now-grounded Goku. "It becomes worthless in the end." Cell, "Hm. Maybe you're right. Then, let me finish with this." Goku, "Hm?" Cell's aura flares up around him again. "He's raised his ki to maximum! What do I do now?" (I'm positive that line is inaccurate, since I can hear Goku say "Saiya-jin" in there somewhere [not positive, but it might be "Saiya-jin no ki da"], but since I can't understand the real line, I've supplied you with the inaccurate sub...hopefully it's still not too far off.)

"KA!" Cell's arms extend out in front of him, wrists coming into contact to form a cup with the hands. "ME!" He pulls his arms back to one side. Kuririn gasps. Goku holds his hand out. "Stop! If you shoot Kamehameha with power like that...!" Cell, "HA!" Blue ki forms in his hands. "ME!" The ki grows and expands, becoming even brighter, with rays of light shining out from it. Vegeta, "St...stop it!" Cell, "HA!!" The Kamehameha travels straight at Goku, who stares at it, not knowing what to do. He jumps into the sky. "This way, Cell!" The blast changes direction; a tremendous wind is generated. Satan's group and the Z Senshi are forced to shield themselves from the strong gusts. The Kamehameha follows Goku straight into the sky. He stops and stares down at it. He holds his fingers up to his forehead as the blast engulfs him. The Kamehameha continues on into outer space.

Cell stands on the stage, still holding his arms out, though the Kamehameha is now gone. Son Goku appears right behind him. He gasps. Goku hits him, and he grunts as he's thrown back. Cell catches himself and regains his footing on the stage. The dust from the Kamehameha has not even settled yet. Son and Cell stare at each other. Satan and friends are still completely amazed. Piroshiki lies on his back, with Calorie sprawled over his stomach. The reporter gets back up. "Ex...explanation, please." However, Satan is too busy being shocked to offer one.

The Z Senshi watch the dust settle. Trunks rises back to his full height. Kuririn is still in shock. Son Gohan watches; his feelings are difficult to discern from his expression, but he's probably shaken by the Earth's close call just as everyone else. Cell, "Why? That Kamehameha should have certainly hit you..." Goku, "Yeah, it should have." Cell, "Oh yes. You appeared and disappeared suddenly, just before." Son, "It's Shunkan Idou. I can do it." Cell's eyes widen. "Shunkan Idou? Oh, that's something troublesome." Goku, "I want to ask you something, too. If I didn't fly into the sky, would you have shot the Kamehameha and destroyed the Earth?" Cell looks away, smiling. "Well...I won't tell you. But I knew you had to fly into the sky." Goku smiles. "I see. You seem very smart." Cell looks back at him. "But I'll tell you this. I have no qualms in destroying the Earth. However, I have no desire to see the fun end just yet." He gets into a battle position to continue the fight. "That's all!" He yells as he suddenly flies at Goku.

Son is caught off guard. Cell slams into him, hitting him hard. Goku punches back, but Cell is gone. Cell reappears, attacks, Goku blocks, kicks him in the back, Goku is hit and falls. He lands on the stage on his hands and knees and springs back into the sky, clenching a fist. Cell appears behind him, pulls his hand back, and smashes Goku back into the stage. Goku lands on his back and jumps up to his feet again. He looks around, but there's no sign of Cell. The other Z Senshi watch quietly. The Satan group is still pretty stunned by all of this. Piroshiki and Calorie are still hugging each other behind a boulder.

Goku falters, unable to find Cell. Suddenly, Cell appears behind him. "Well, I have self-confidence in my speed." Goku looks back at him, amazed and uneasy. Cell stares down at him.
