The Fight Is Over... Thank You, Son Goku

[Note: When Goku's speaking in italics, it's because he's speaking to Gohan while we watch the fight. When he's not in italics, it's because we're actually seeing him in the afterlife.]

The two Kamehameha's race forward and meet in the middle; strong winds and lots of flying debris result. Kuririn, "It's too dangerous here. Let's get out of here." He jumps into the air and flies away. Yamucha and Tenshinhan, along with the body of Trunks, follow. Piccolo watches them go; he looks back to the battle. "Gohan..." And then he too flies away. Vegeta finally recovers, clutching at his arm.

Cell and Gohan continue to power their blasts. The two Kamehameha's meet in a huge ball in the middle. The meeting point grows much to large and begins to carve away a crater into the Earth, where half of it resides. Cell and Gohan both growl as they force more ki into the blast. The Kamehameha's suddenly begin to expand, and Kuririn screams as he flees the growing blast point. The increasing winds throw them all off, though; they lose control of their flight, going where the wind takes them, which was pretty much the same direction they were going anyway.

Satan hugs at a rock; Pizza screams. They fly through the air. Gohan and Cell continue to battle it out. The Z Senshi watch from a safe distance. Kuririn, "They're destroying the entire area around them." Piccolo, "Damn..." The boulder carrying Satan's crew smashes into the ground, and they scatter around it. The reporter sits up. "There's no where to escape to. Huh? The ground is exploding and breaking up all around us. This is the end, everyone. Goodbye. Goodbye!" Satan whimpers from behind the "protection" of a small rock. "It's a trick! I'll find out how they're doing this trick!" Calorie, "Why are you still saying such a stupid thing?!"

Debris rises into the air in the cities; people scream in fear and confusion. Buildings collapse, cars crash. One man proclaims, "Judgement day has begun! This is the end of the world!"
Dende, "Cell... Cell is attacking with all of his power. Gohan's power is not as strong as Cell's!" He shuts his eyes. "The Earth is breaking up!"
The ground shakes at Paozu-yama. The three people in the house duck and cover to protect themselves from falling chunks of ceiling. Chichi, "Gohan-chan!" They watch the action with the crystal ball.

Goku, "Gohan, hang in there!" Cell, "You're doing well, kid. I'm impressed." He puts more power into his Kamehameha, and his blast begins to gain ground on Gohan. Suddenly, Gohan's barely in a position to defend himself, much less attack Cell. Piccolo, "He's no match for him! Gohan's losing!" Cell chuckles. "This is it! I'll end you!" He puts even more power into his attack, and Gohan's Kamehameha is barely able to hold it back.

Kaiousama, "Your son is very good." Gohan grunts and makes "kch" sounds as he struggles to repel the Kamehameha. Goku, "What's wrong? You can become more powerful than this." Gohan, "I can't, Dad. I've reached my limit. After all this, I'm still just a useless little crybaby. I haven't changed a bit." Goku, "That's not true, Gohan. You may not remember, but you've saved my life many times. Each time, you surprised me. You can do it again, Gohan. Concentrate and use all the power you have!"

Cell, "What are you mumbling? I hope you're saying a prayer." Goku, "You can do it, Gohan!" Gohan forces more power into his Kamehameha, and he pushes Cell's back so that they return to a 50/50 standing. The Z Senshi land on a nearby cliff. Son Gohan's Kamehameha begins to overtake Cell's, but only slightly. Yamucha, "Incredible. How can he create such enormous power?" Kuririn, "Gohan..." Piccolo stares silently at the battle.

Gohan grunts and "kch," struggling to overtake Cell's Kamehameha. Cell, "You fool. How many times do I have to tell you that I've achieved Ultimate Power with this Perfect body? You can't beat me." He puts more into his blast and it returns to a 50/50. Goku, "What?" Cell's Kamehameha continues past 50/50, and suddenly, Gohan's struggling just to repel it again. Goku (thinking, this time), "This can't be..." Gohan still struggles with the Kamehameha. Goku, "I understand now. Gohan, you're worried about hurting the planet, that's what's been holding you back." Gohan gasps. "Don't be concerned about that. We can fix any damage with the Dragon Balls. Just concentrate!" Gohan, "But...!"

Cell laughs. "Go, go, go! Go to hell!" The Z Senshi watch in shock. Piccolo, "Gohan..." He stares out at the blast duel, and at the young Super Saiya-jin behind one side of it. "I'll stand with you, Gohan." He raises his ki and flies off toward the battle. Kuririn, "Piccolo!" He jumps up and runs to the edge of the cliff. "Piccolo!!" Yamucha, "How can he help Gohan?" Piccolo flies past the ki duel and behind Cell. He stops and screams, then throws a large ki blast (might be Masenkou, I can't really tell, but I don't think it is) at Cell. The blast has absolutely no effect. Cell looks back. "Hm?" Piccolo stares down in shock. Cell, "Don't interfere. Go away!" Without even turning around, he throws ki back at Piccolo, and Piccolo is thrown away, screaming. Goku, "Piccolo!" Gohan, "PICCOLO-SAN!!"

Piccolo slowly recovers, laying at the end of a long "ditch" for want of a better term, although it's incredibly shallow for any real "ditch." Basically, it's just to show how far he slid through the dirt after he landed. Anyway, he looks back up toward the battle. "Damn it..." As he stands up, his hand already glows with ki. "Go...Gohan...!" Vegeta watches from a nearby rocky ledge. "Piccolo's down."

Kuririn, "Why did he do that? He couldn't do anything to help..." Tenshinhan, "I think Piccolo knew that." Kuririn looks back at him. "Eh?" Yamucha, "Tenshinhan?" Ki radiates from Tenshinhan. Kuririn turns around. "Wait, you're not going to fight him, too, Tenshinhan..." Ten, "I can't just wait around here to die, either." Yamucha, "A warrior must die in the arena, huh?" He smiles. Ten, "Right. Even if it's certain death, I'd rather die trying." Yamucha nods. He turns to Kuririn. "Kuririn, take care of Trunks." Kuririn, "You're going too, Yamucha-san?" Ten, "Let's go." His aura flares up around him. Yamucha rises to his feet and brings up his aura. Both of them fly off to join Piccolo. Kuririn, "They're both crazy." He looks back at the unconscious Artificial Human behind him, smiling. "Number 18, I'm glad that I could see you one last time. Bye." He turns around and flies after Yamucha and Ten.

Vegeta watches them fly by. "Them... What do they think they can do?"

"You can do it, Gohan!" Cell, "You're still there? I'll finish you off." Suddenly, Piccolo screams. Cell is hit in the back with Makkankousappo, and Piccolo continues to drive the blast straight into him. Tenshinhan, Yamucha, and Kuririn arrive to back Piccolo up. Ten's hands take the shape of a triangle. "KIKOHOU!" Yamucha and Kuririn fire simultaneous ki blasts. Gohan, "Yamucha-san! Tenshinhan-san! Kuririn-san!" Goku, "Gohan! Try harder! You can do it!" Gohan, "Father!"

The ki blasts all continue to drive straight into Cell. "You pesky bugs!" Vegeta, "They..." He raises a fist. Cell, "You want to die first? Alright, I'll grant your wish." He knocks all of them away. Gohan, "Piccolo-san...!" He screams and fires more into his Kamehameha. The force of the blast pushes Cell back a bit.

Piccolo slowly recovers. "Gohan... I'm not going to let you down. I'll never forget... You were the first one to ever talk to me as a friend." Kuririn slowly sits up, laughing. "What am I doing here? It would be so much easier to just die. I would have given up long ago if I were the person I used to be. You two have really changed me a lot. Goku, Gohan, you two turned me into a better person. You two..." Tenshinhan and Yamucha slowly climb to their feet. As soon as he's up, Ten resumes where he left off. His hands form a triangle. "HA!" Yamucha follows suit. Ten, "Goku, you were always my hero. Without your inspiration, Goku, I wouldn't be here. You're gone now, but I'm not going to let your son die fighting Cell." Yamucha, "Goku, Gohan truly is a great kid. He's indeed your son. I'm proud to have known you both."

Vegeta stares down at his fist angrily. Ki radiates from his body. "Damn it... I can't just stand here..." Cell looks back at the four people behind him, driving ki blasts into his back. "Get away from me you pests!" Goku, "Gohan! Try harder! You must beat him!" Cell knocks away the Z Senshi again. Yamucha slides through the dirt just as Kuririn arrives to take his place. Tenshinhan bounces away and Piccolo arrives to fill in for him. Piccolo and Kuririn fire simultaneous ki blasts.

Cell, "One after another... Don't you ever learn?" Vegeta suddenly screams and turns Super Saiya-jin. Gohan continues to feed his Kamehameha, but Cell slowly gains ground on him. Piccolo and Kuririn scream as they drive their ki blasts into Cell. Yamucha and Tenshinhan recover and resume firing ki blasts, too. Cell, "You pests, nothing will stop me! I'll destroy you!!" Kuririn screams; Yamucha grunts. Finally, the four of them get thrown back again, screaming.

Cell laughs. His Kamehameha begins to overtake Gohan's again. Gohan's feet slide back through the rocks and dirt. Kaiousama, "It's no good! The Earth is breaking up!" The ground around Gohan and Cell begins to crack and rock fragments lift into the air. Piroshiki, Calorie, and Mr. Satan hang from the edge of a newly formed crevasse.

Piccolo sits up. "Gohan, are you...?" Kuririn, "I'm sorry, Goku. That was the best I could do." Yamucha, "I'm sorry." Dende's eyes are shut tightly. "Gohan-san!" Chichi struggles against Gyuu Mao's grip. "Gohan-chan can't die! My baby is never going to die!" She covers her face. Gyuu Mao, "That's right! Gohan is the son of Son Goku! He'll never die." The stream or river or whatever it is outside the Son home rushes by quickly, as if caught in a hurricane.

"Try harder, Gohan!" Gohan, "Father..." Goku, "Gohan, this is not your best! Let your power explode!" Cell, "Still babbling?" He laughs; his ki blast begins to really overtake Gohan's. Suddenly, a golden ki blast flies straight out of the sky at Cell. He turns around. The Saiya-jin prince sits panting in the sky. "Vegeta!!" Goku, "NOW!!" Gohan screams and pushes all of his ki into the Kamehameha. His ki blast completely overtakes Cell's. Cell turns back. "What?" The Kamehameha begins to kill Cell; he gasps as his body begins to break up. "Impossible!" Gohan's Kamehameha completely disintegrates Cell's body, down to the very last Cell. The enormous ki blast continues into outer space, where it dissipates.

Gohan sits panting in the sky, his arm still held out. He quickly fades out of Super Saiya-jin and falls to the ground. He lands with a thud. Piccolo watches with wide eyes. "He's gone... I don't sense Cell's ki anymore." Kuririn, "Is he really dead at last?" Tenshinhan and Yamucha support each other with an arm over the other's shoulder. Ten, "It looks like it." He and Yamucha watch, smiling. Yamucha, "He did it! Gohan did it! He beat Cell for good!" The Z Senshi land around Gohan, smiling at him. Gohan lies on the ground, eyes shut, breathing heavily, but smiling.

Satan's crew lies strewn about on the ground. Chichi and Gyuu Mao dance about. Chichi, "He did it! Gohan-chan did it!" Kaiou, "It's finally over." Goku, "Yeah." He smiles and looks up. "Well done, Gohan." Gohan smiles, still recovering from the battle. Images of him and Son Goku appear transparent over the Earth, now safe again.

"Thank you, Son Goku, and goodbye."
