Terrible Happenings in Heaven!! Garlic Jr. to Become Kami?!

Goku has defeated Freezer, but even after ten months, he's not yet returned from space...

We open in a rainy city, three people huddled together in terror, apparently afraid of unseen assailants. A few hits, a few screams, and they're down. We look down on them, and then move up to reveal the people responsible. Some giant mutant/alien-like creatures stand, laughing. Four of them, total. They each move to one side, bowing as they do so, and behind all of them, we see the apparent leader. A small, hooded figure. His face is shrouded in darkness. He steps forward, a burst of lightning spreading a brief second of light inside his hood. Still, no facial features can be discerned. We look up into the night sky, then back on the hooded man. From our new angle, we can still see nothing identifiable, but his skin appears to be blue, possibly blue/green. We look over his minions and pan up, coming to a stop as we focus in on a mountain. Again, we move back, looking at the ruins. "A cold and dark hell, where no light can reach." We see a scene from movie 1, of the transformed Garlic Jr. being sucked into the dead zone. "Yet finally, I'm set free from a world full of curse. Now I can begin to avenge." The figure, now easily recognizable as Garlic Jr., picks up a piece of fruit on the ground. "I want all things living on Earth to taste the pain worse than that I've tasted." He smashes the fruit in his hand.

Next, we see Gohan, running through a forest, playing with that same old saber-toothed tiger he played with during his survival training in the Saiya-jin saga. He runs from it, laughing. Suddenly, he jumps up, grabs a branch, and watches as the tiger, unable to stop, keeps running, straight into a boulder. Gohan flips over the branch, runs off to a ledge, and dives into the lake below, taking off his clothes as he goes. As he swims, he comes across some big fish. Obviously, he catches it, but rather than leaping out of the water with one, he throws many of them into a pile on land.

A man in a white suit arrives as Gohan surfaces. "Kuririn-san!" We see Kuririn, all decked out in his nice white suit, white top hat...the works. "You've caught many fish, Gohan." Gohan climbs out of the water. "Until dad returns, I'll be responsible for finding food." He drags another fish toward the pile. Kuririn, "Good for you." Kuririn suddenly looks over and sees the pile. Gohan, "But this is fun. Kuririn should try, too." Kuririn refuses, but Gohan grabs his arm and drags him toward the water. Gohan, "There are lots of fish in this river. Let's fish together, Kuririn." Kuririn, "No, wait a minute, Gohan. I don't want to." Gohan, "Ah! Because you'll get wet." Kuririn, "No, not only that..." He motions behind him to a red car up on the hill. Gohan, "Kuririn, you've bought such a nice car!" Kuririn, "It's no big deal..." Kuririn begins undressing, and tells Gohan he hasn't done this in a long time. Gohan jumps in the water. Suddenly, a female voice calls. "Kuririn-chan!" Kuririn stops, and Gohan comes back up. Gohan looks at Kuririn. A woman, who slightly resembles Bulma, steps out of the car. "Aren't you ready yet?" Kuririn looks back at her. "I'm sorry, I'm coming!" Gohan, "Kuririn, that is..." Kuririn, "She's my girlfriend." The woman walks up to Kuririn. "Maron is getting impatient." Kuririn apologizes again. Maron, "Who's that kid?" Gohan's back out of the water now, and walking toward them. Kuririn, "He's the son of Son Goku. He's called Gohan." He turns to Gohan. "She's Maron." Maron, "Son Goku?" Kuririn, "I talked about him just now. He's a martial arts master." Maron, "Really?" She stoops down to Gohan's level. "But this child is so lovely. How old are you?" Gohan, "Five." Maron rubs his head. "Gohan, I'll be going to Kame House with Kuririn, so we can't keep you company. Sorry." She kisses Gohan on the forehead, and Kuririn's taken aback. "Maron-chan, wait a minute!" Maron, "Kuririn is lovely, too. Even kids will get him jealous!" Kuririn, "No, it's not that..." Maron, "Then I'll kiss you, too!" Kuririn chuckles, and Gohan looks disgusted. Kuririn turns around. "Besides, Gohan, it's been a long time since all of us saw each other at Kame House. Are you coming?" Gohan agrees, but says he must ask his mother first. They talk about how harsh she can be. Kuririn says they'll be waiting if he can come, and Maron and Kuririn go back to the car. It finally hits Gohan that Maron is Kuririn's girlfriend, as Kuririn and Maron get in the car and speed off. "When dad comes back, he'll be surprised to see that." We look up at the sky, where a Goku-shaped cloud hangs above the lake.

Piccolo stands alone in a desolate wilderness, his cape blowing back by the wind around him. He uses his multi-form technique, and suddenly one Piccolo becomes four. They all jump into the sky and spar with each other. One Piccolo throws a Makkankousappo, another blocks it. The real Piccolo lands, and the other three jump back into him. "You've improved so much now, and you're still practicing?" Piccolo looks behind him, and sees god himself (literally), Kamisama. "What has brought you here?" Kami, "Piccolo, you've changed a bit. The reason I am here is that I want you to replace me. To be god. I can't handle the job anymore. You're capable of being the god of the Earth. Talking about your strength and will power, you're the only one who can replace me." Piccolo blows up a nearby rock ledge and refuses the offer. "Kami, I'm not interested in this position. Instead of this, you should pay attention to what's going on around. Lately, the devil race is getting active again. Seems like there's some signs. Maybe something has happened. Anyway, just watch out." With that, Piccolo flies off.

At God's Shrine, Popo's watering the flowers, as usual. Suddenly, he senses something. He looks up, and two of Garlic Jr.'s minions (although he doesn't know that's who they are at first) are standing atop the building at the back of the tower. They laugh and he turns around, finding two others behind him. They all vanish and dart around God's Shrine, destroying trees, floor tiles, and damaging the building. They stop, two on either side of the entrance to the building, and bow. Popo looks on as Garlic Jr. steps out, hooded, but Popo immediately recognizes him. "Are you Garlic Junior?" Garlic, "It's been a long time, Mr. Popo." Popo, "Why are you here? You're the son of Garlic, who has tried to seize the throne of god." We have a flashback to the time Garlic Jr. summoned Shenron and wished for immortality, then his fight with Kamisama in movie 1. Next, we see his transformation to his full power in front of Goku and Piccolo, and then Gohan's anger that threw him into the dead zone, even as he increased his power. "But you should have been trapped by the dead zone that you created by yourself." Garlic, "Right. If Son Goku and his son weren't in my way, I should have gotten immortal life with the Dragon Balls, and I should have been the conqueror of all. Before I avenge god, I'll come back to life again and again. I'm definitely the conqueror of all!" Popo turns to find himself surrounded, and throws out his magic carpet. Before he can get far, he's trapped in a tangle of wires, a ki net created by Garlic Jr.'s minions. Popo can't move, and Garlic Jr. tells him to turn himself in. The henchmen let up their grip on Popo, and Garlic asks him where Kami is. Popo says he doesn't know, and claims that he never lies. Garlic, "What a useless bastard." His hands are encircled in ki, he screams, and suddenly, Popo's encased in a ring of ki. He becomes tiny, and Garlic explains that his powers are useless, and nothing can penetrate the wall of ki around him, or escape from it. He opens his hand, revealing tiny Popo in his palm. He says he's going to wait for god, and for the time being, he'll spare Popo's life.

At Kame House, the group is gathered together. Oolong, Puar, Kamesennin, Yamucha, Maron, and Kuririn sit at the table, and in the back, Bulma's at the counter. Yamucha comments that instead of practicing, Kuririn's been getting a girlfriend. Kuririn says she's not his girlfriend yet, Maron makes sure they're not lovers, and then she leans over and asks Yamucha out. Bulma grabs him by the ear. "Yamucha!" Puar, "Yamucha-sama..." Yamucha says they were just kidding, but Maron says that she was serious. Bulma asks her about Kuririn's feelings. "Kuririn's feelings?" She thinks for a while, and everyone looks at her. "Maron doesn't know that!" Everyone does the comedic anime fall, and Oolong gets up, saying "No matter what, Kuririn is definitely amazing this time." Puar, "How I envy him..." Kamesennin stares at Maron's breasts, and the reflection can be seen in his sunglasses. He thinks to himself. "I should give Kuririn some advice." He speaks. "Hey, Kuririn! I am your master." Kuririn asks why he's suddenly so serious. "To put it shortly, I'm like your parent, but I don't think I've given you permission to go out with that lady yet." Kuririn objects, and Yamucha and Bulma say that Kuririn should be allowed to go out with her. "I haven't finished yet! Then it's this lady." Maron, "Kamesennin, don't call me 'lady'. My name is Maron." Kamesennin, "Are you? Maron, there are conditions." Everyone asks what these conditions are. Kamesennin demands to touch her breast, and he's immediately smacked by Bulma. Kamesennin says he was only joking, and everyone laughs.

At Mt. Paozu, Chichi refuses to let Gohan go to Kame House. She says Goku's friends will have a bad influence, and Gohan's obviously very disappointed. He says they won't have a bad influence, but Chichi says he promised her he'd work hard to catch up on the lessons he missed (while on Namek, I suppose). Gohan leaves the room, saddened. "You are a good boy. Work hard."

At God's Shrine, Kami returns. He's shocked by the damage. In the shadows, Garlic Jr.'s eyes glow red. Kami walks forward, asking who's here. Garlic steps out, and Kamisama is even more stunned than before. "Garlic Junior! Why are you here?" Garlic, "Welcome to my shrine." Kami, "It's said that the devil race is active lately. So it's because you've escaped from the dead zone." Garlic, "You're still the same. So very bitter." Kami glares at him. Kami tries to telepathically contact Popo, but Garlic laughs at him. He brings forth the imprisoned Mr. Popo. Garlic Jr. explains that Popo's been guarding God's Shrine for centuries, and this is what he gets for being in the way. Kami gets pretty pissed and asks why he came here, and if he's trying to seize God's Shrine. Garlic Jr. says that's exactly it, and that he'll replace Kami and rule the land. Kami, "Idiot! Says who?" Garlic, "Interesting. Are you trying to stop me? Then show me the power of god!" He lunges forward, shooting ki at Kami. Kami flies back, then up. Garlic's too fast for him though, and hits him from behind. Kami develops a ki shield around him, and the force of the shield launches Garlic Jr. into the building at God's Shrine. Garlic Jr. isn't seriously injured though, and Kami's trapped by the same net that caught Popo. Garlic demands that Kami bow to him, and says if he does that, he'll let Kami be his servant. Kami refuses (obviously), and Garlic encases him in the same ki container that he gave Popo. He laughs at Kami. "I won't kill you. I'll use the Dragon Balls one more time. Before the resurrection of my father, I'll let you taste the insult that I have tasted."

Back at Mt. Paozu, Gohan's outside, watching his mother. Haiya Dragon (from here on, to be referred to as Haiya or Haiya Dragon) comes up beside him and nudges him. He asks Haiya if he's coming too, and then they're off with Gohan on the dragon's back. "Kuririn-san, I'll come right away!" At God's Shrine, Garlic Jr. is searching. He finds what he's looking for, and his followers look over his back. He's got his father's kettle of Aqua Water (Black Water Mist in America). They all look at it. Garlic Jr, "This bottle contains Aqua Mist, which turns people evil." He uses some electric ki to open the kettle, and pours out the mist upon the world. "Anyone breathing in this mist will become evil. This world will become a world of evil." One of the minions speaks, "Then standing on the top is Garlic Junior." Garlic, "You're right. He laughs, and the mist pours out on the land as we see scenes from Gohan and Haiya Dragon's flight, and at Kame House.
