Gohan's Brief Chance for Victory!!  Hit the Makyo-sei...

Waves of energy move over Garlic Jr.  Gohan powers up to increase the power of his shield.  The four spirits still torture Kami-sama below, and now have him trapped in a small ki box.  Popo yells for him to fight it, but the spirits just power up and increase the power of the ki box.  

Gohan's shield starts to give way, and he starts to slide toward the dead zone.  He stops and powers up to make sure that he does not get sucked in.  Piccolo moans on the ground and fades out.  Kuririn tells him to hang on just a bit longer.  Garlic Jr.'s eyes glow red, and he powers up to increase the suction force of the dead zone.  We now see God's Shrine, which is nearly getting sucked into the dead zone itself!  Pillars, stones, and everything else fly toward the void.  

The four spirits continue their assault on Kami-sama as Popo watches in horror.  The chamber in which Popo and Kami-sama are in starts to rumble, and ceiling material starts to fall.  Popo dodges the falling projectiles and the four spirits look up to see what's going on.  Kami-sama asks what is causing this.  Popo replies that Garlic Jr. must have opened the dead zone.  Kami-sama starts to yell at the spirits, saying that by hurting him, he's helping Garlic Jr.  They obviously don't like this, and power up.  Piccolo fades in and out back up top as Kuririn tries to help him.  Gohan continues to try to keep the shield around him and his friends.  Garlic Jr. taunts them and says they will soon run out of power and will drop the shield.  

Debris fly in every direction as Gohan slips a little more towards the dead zone.  Piccolo, who's fading out, tells Gohan to let go of the shield and blow up Garlic Jr.'s source of power, the Makyo-sei.  Kuririn tells him that's not a good idea, for if he attacks, the shield is gone and both he and Piccolo would be sucked into the dead zone.  Kuririn tells him that there are more people on the Earth than themselves.  Garlic Jr. looks on, smirking.  He powers up and increases the force of the dead zone.  God's Shrine starts to break apart and fly into the dead zone.  Gohan continues to hold his shield.  

We see the Ultra Holy Water floating over a field.  Hundreds of demonic people are down there, eating vegetables and such in a savage way.  The Ultra Holy Water causes them to convulse for a moment, but then turn back into good.  The people question where they are.

Garlic Jr. laughs maniacally.  Gohan slips a little more, and his shield starts to give way.  Piccolo tells Gohan again to destroy the Makyo-sei.  Gohan says he can't because he doesn't want to lose his friends.  Piccolo pleads for him to do it, and he starts to really fade away.  Kuririn notices and yells at Gohan to listen to Piccolo.  Kuririn's yelling pisses off Gohan and he powers up incredibly.  The shield extends a good ways outward and upward.  

The four spirits are still encasing Kami-sama in the ki.  Popo pleads for them to stop, and it works.  The spirits release Kami-sama and he falls to the ground.  Popo rushes over the help him as the four spirits converse for a moment.  Kami-sama starts to fade away and Popo starts to cry (Poor guy...).  The four spirits then zap their ki into one spot, which descends onto Kami-sama.  This replenishes his life and Kami-sama is at full health again.  The spirits decide it's time for the two to leave and they teleport them out of the room.

The dead zone continues to pull on God's Shrine, threatening to suck it in.  Garlic Jr. taunts them some more and Piccolo grimaces in pain.  Popo and Kami-sama then appear in a flash of light.  They cling to pillars to try to save themselves.  Kuririn notices that Kami-sama is back, and so does Piccolo, who is now at full power.  Garlic Jr. tells them that it doesn't matter, for they will all die.  He then increases the suction again.  Popo and Kami-sama hang on for dear life, but they can't, and are swept away.  Piccolo sees it and busts through the shield to save the two.  Piccolo floats up past Kami-sama and Popo and then plows into them, sending them back to the ground.  They grab onto a pillar.  

Piccolo can't get back.  He continues to float toward the dead zone.  Garlic Jr. laughs and shoots a ki blast from his stomach toward Piccolo.  Piccolo blocks, but the blast keeps coming.  He yells for Gohan to attack.  Gohan is worried about Kuririn, but Kuririn assures him that he'll be fine.  To persuade Gohan into attacking, Kuririn jumps through the shield.  Piccolo continues to try to block the blast from Garlic Jr.  He stops for a moment and fires a blast of his own right back at Garlic Jr.  It hits, but Garlic Jr. caught the ki blast.  Kuririn flies up and stops in front of Piccolo, waiting for Garlic Jr. to attack.  He attacks, and both Kuririn and Piccolo block.  They both yell at Gohan to fire and kill the Makyo-sei.  Gohan finally gets pissed and powers up.  He sends a big ass ki blast past Garlic Jr.  It heads straight for the Makyo-sei.  The blast hits the surface and goes into the planet.  The Makyo-sei blows up in a show of light.

Garlic Jr., horrified, shrinks back to his regular self, and is sucked into the dead zone.  It closes behind him.  Garlic Jr. is gone.

In space, a Capsule Corp. ship flies at top speed.  Vegeta sits inside, thinking that he will soon become a Super Saiya-jin.  The ship flies off into the distance.

We're now in a city, and the city is a garbage heap.  Bulma, Yamucha, Puar, and Oolong sit by an upturned car.  Kamesennin is in a cruise ship, in a cape on top of a pile of furniture.  Chi Chi sits in the middle of a torn up car, wondering how in the hell she got out here when she was looking for Gohan.  She quickly yells at a biker gang to get home, with which they quickly oblige.  

On a devastated God's Shrine, Gohan emerges from the rubble.  He now thinks that Piccolo and Kuririn were swallowed up by the dead zone, and he screams for them.  Two figures then pop up to the right of Gohan.  Kami-sama and Popo are alive.  He runs over and greets them.  A voice comes from under the slab of stone that Gohan is standing on.  Kuririn is yelling at him to get off.  The stone moves and Kuririn comes out.  He shakes his head and smiles at Gohan.  Gohan runs over and gives Kuririn a hug.  ::tears::  Piccolo's voice comes from behind, telling them to settle down.  Piccolo is alive.
