Goku's Double Shock!! Caught Between Illness and Adversary

Goku rushes Artificial Human 19, who prepares to counterattack. Goku jumps behind him, though, and his speed catches the Artificial Human off guard. Number 19 quickly recovers, though, and kicks Goku just as he gets back there. Goku blocks the kick and they go into one of those several second long hit/kick frenzies.

Piccolo, Tenshinhan, and Artificial Human 20 watch in silence. Number 19 jumps back, back, back, up into the air to get away from Goku, who follows after him. The Artificial Human lands on a ledge and throws a blast that Goku blocks. Goku advances on the jinzounengen, who then blasts him again. Goku gets pushed back, but flies back at him.

Number 19 jumps down to the ground below and Goku zig-zags to him. He lands right in front of 19, then 19 punches and Goku disappears again. Goku reappears behind him and elbows him hard in the back. He blasts the Artificial Human forward into the side of a cliff, which, of course, collapses. Artificial Human 20 doesn't speak, but he's wide-eyed. Ten says excitedly, "You've done it, Goku!" Piccolo, a few feet behind Ten, continues to watch with that stern expression on his face.

Artificial Human 19 stands up. He stares at Son Goku for a moment, then runs at him. Midway there, the run converts to a flying headbutt. Goku sticks his arm out and catches 19 by the head, then kicks him, sending him several hundred feet into the air. He powers up and flies after 19, appearing behind him. Artificial Human 19 attacks him and Goku can't do anything but dodge.

At Kame House, a certain turtle master/pervert sits in the house reading a magazine... or rather, looking at the pictures. Kamesennin chuckles. "This is good." Oolong chimes in, "This is great!" Chaouzu looks sick with worry. "I hope everyone is okay..." A female voice calls from outside. "Hello? Is Kuririn-chan here?" Muten Roshi and Oolong watch as Maron walks into the house. "It's me, Kuririn-chan!" Muten Roshi, "Oh, it's Maron-chan!" Kamesennin ogles her and she asks where Kuririn is. "The real thing's the best!" Maron doesn't even seem to notice Roshi, she just keeps looking around for Kuririn. "Let me do a 'puff puff' or 'brewski'!" She turns and walks away and Kamesennin jumps on a plant, chanting "puff puff." He notices he's on top of a plant and suddenly stops. Maron, "I've finally decided on my true love." Everyone stops and watches her. "The only person I've really loved is Kuririn-chan. Kuririn-chan! Kuririn-chan..." She starts searching all the rooms of the house. "Where are you, Kuririn-chan? Where are you? Kuririn-chan! Kuririn-chan!" She looks inside the refrigerator. "Where's Kuririn-chan?" Oolong turns around to face her. "Kuririn's off defeating Artificial Humans that a survivor of the Red Ribbon Army created." Maron, "Red Ribbon? I know! Kuririn's going to give me that red ribbon as a present!" The others' reaction is beyond an anime fall. It's more like... an anime fall where they freeze in mid-air.

Later, Oolong explains to her as he eats. "The whole future of the Earth could be put to shambles." Chaouzu, "A boy who came from the future in a time machine told us." Roshi, "Kuririn's fighting to save us from the Artificial Humans created by a survivor of the Red Ribbon Army." Maron looks at him happily and says, "Maron doesn't understand a thing you said." As she dances around a bit while she says this, her breasts... "sway freely," and Kamesennin takes note. His sunglasses fall off and he tells her, "I should explain this up close. You see, the Red Ribbon Army..." He starts to crawl across the table toward her. She asks, "What about the Red Ribbon Army?" From outside Kame House, Maron's scream can be heard. "Kamesennin, you're fresh!"

There's a flashback of Chibi Goku riding on Kintoun. "This happened when Goku was still a child. As part of his training, he went on a search for the Dragon Balls. Goku flies around on Kintoun with the Dragon Radar. He speaks, but the sound doesn't come out of his mouth. "At that time, there was a terrible terrorist organization called the Red Ribbon Army. The leader of that organization, called the Red Commander, was trying to collect the Dragon Balls for evil purposes." Goku fires a silent Kamehameha at someone. "Goku fought one villain after another in the Red Ribbon Army." And the man (robot) dies. Goku, "I took off his face! Did I do something bad?" Goku continues fighting Red Ribbon henchman after Red Ribbon henchman. A Kamehameha pretty much does it for Tao-pai-pai. He gets beaten up for a few minutes after that, then begs for forgiveness and throws a grenade at Goku, who throws it back. "And in the end, Goku attacked the headquarters of the Red Ribbon Army by himself." Goku and Kintoun fly through barrages of missiles and guns and all sorts of bad stuff. In the city, he turns a corner and runs into a group of Red Ribbon Army soldiers who are armed to the teeth. They fire at him, but he gets away, only to run into another one with a giant bazooka-looking thing. Goku ducks the blast and a nearby building is leveled. He kills the guy, continues on. Two men with machine guns attack, he kills them. Several more, a nice job for the nyoi-bo. Goku defeats a man and he jumps into a RRA mech. Goku dodges what he can and gets beaten up for a while. He lands on top of a building and the mech fires a missile. He dodges it, the entire building explodes, and Goku flies through the mech, destroying it. "And that is how the Red Ribbon Army was destroyed. Or so we thought..."

Goku falls from the sky. "But there was a survivor of the Red Ribbon Army." Kintoun swings around and catches Goku. "The mad scientist, Dr. Gero, who continued his experiments alone." An underground laboratory, with very little light, most of which comes from the lightning splitting the sky overhead. Inside, everything is still. It looks abandoned. Not quite, though. An old man with long, gray hair stands in front of a large machine with electrical charges running back and forth over it. "And as the ultimate weapons, he created the Artificial Humans..." Enormous muscular figures emerge through smoke and fire and more electrical charges. "And it is those Artificial Humans that Kuririn is currently fighting." One of the Artificial Humans reaches out and kills Dr. Gero. "So Kuririn is going to the southern islands to fight those Artificial Humans with his allies. Do you understand now, Miss?" Maron smiles at him. "I don't understand at all." And of course, everyone is utterly amazed that someone this stupid was actually alive and in their house...

Kuririn speeds forward toward the battle. "I can feel a huge ki." Gohan, a few feet ahead of Kuririn, tells him that it's his father's ki." Kuririn, "But I only feel one. Apparently, the Artificial Humans don't have any ki."

Goku disappears/reappears in random areas as he flies in to attack 19 again. A punch to the face, a kick to the gut. Number 19 is thrown back. He stops himself and charges Goku again, but Goku knees him in the stomach, then punches him in the side of the head. Artificial Human 19 falls and Goku does his little disappear/reappear thing again as he moves in to beat up the jinzouningen again. Tenshinhan watches. "That's incredible! I can't believe how strong he's gotten. So that's what a Super Saiya-jin is like. He's at a completely different level than we're at. There's too much difference." Without taking his eyes off the battle, Piccolo responds. "You think so..." And in the sky, Goku and 19 are going at it with the high-speed punching/kicking/blocking/dodging thing. They stop and Goku hovers, breathing very heavily. He jumps up in front of 19 and knees him in the chin. He kicks him, then they go into another punching/kicking thing. No blocking or dodging this time, though. Jinzouningen 19 is getting pretty beaten up. He starts to fight back, and the blocking/dodging also comes back in. Goku gets 19 with an uppercut, then kicks him in the stomach. Number 19 falls back again, but beforehe can charge, Goku jumps back up to him and punches him again in the stomach. Son gets behind the Artificial Human and smashes him from behind. He flies back in to attack 19.

Artificial Human 20 watches from the ground. "He's much stronger than our projections indicated. This is impossible, this is dangerous... Number 19 will run out of energy before he can take Son Goku's." Gohan, Kuririn, and Yamucha finally arrive. Gohan, "There they are." The three of them speed up. They land near Tenshinhan and Piccolo. "Father!" Ten, "Don't worry. Goku's gotten awesomely strong. A Super Saiya-jin sure is impressive." Gohan looks back toward the battle, which is once again the punch/kick/block/dodge frenzy in the sky. Piccolo watches in silence. Goku throws a punch that 19 blocks. Kuririn stares up at the sky. Goku hits 19 right in the face. Yamucha watches... Goku elbows 19. The Z Senshi watch the exchange of hits and kicks taking place in the sky above them. Kuririn, "He's incredible! Goku's gotten incredibly strong!" Yamucha, "I must've been mistaken about them being able to take energy." Gohan watches for a few more moments. Suddenly, his eyes go wide and he gasps. Piccolo, "Have you noticed too, Gohan?" Gohan looks up at Piccolo. "Yes..." Piccolo, "Why is Son Goku stretching out this fight? He was fighting nearer his full power before. So why is he acting like this now?" Ten turns away from the fight. "'Acting like this now'? What do you mean by that? What are you talking about? Goku's winning easily now."

In the sky, Goku continues his assault, leaving 19 seemingly helpless against the barrage of punches. Piccolo, "He should be much stronger than this. After Son Goku's changed into a Super Saiya-jin, he should be much stronger than this." Gohan, "Yamucha said that they can take energy. Do you think that's the reason?" Piccolo, "What? They can steal energy?" Yamucha, "Yeah, he grabbed my face with his hand. And without doing anything, it felt like he was taking my ki." Goku smashes 19, who slams into the Earth below. Cheers go up. "He did it!" and "Way to go, Goku!" Yamucha, "Goku did it! He really did it!" Piccolo watches in silence. Number 19 stands up. Yamucha, "Look at how calm he is after taking all that damage!" Ten, "He's an Artificial Human. He probably doesn't feel pain or fatigue." Number 19 stares up at the winded and tired Son Goku. Goku stares back, and they go back and forth like that for a few moments. Goku puts his hands into a ball. He throws a large ki blast at the near-dead Artificial Human. Number 20, "He did it!" A look of happiness washes over 19. He throws his hands up over his head. The blast hits, but gets no further than 19's hand. He absorbs Goku's ki blast. The Z Senshi watch, frightened and astounded, even though they already knew about this ability. Ten, "He... absorbed the blast..." Yamucha, "They can steal energy... through their hands." Piccolo yells up at Goku. "Son! Don't shoot energy attacks at them, they can absorb energy! They can do it through their hands, so don't let them grab you, either!" Goku, "They can steal ki...? That's not funny."

Kuririn makes an observation that several had already noticed. "Hey... doesn't Goku look funny to you? Have they already stolen that much energy?" Piccolo, "They haven't stolen any energy directly from him yet." Number 20, "Good. Now number 19 should be at full power. On the other hand, Son Goku has lost a lot of energy." Artificial Human 19 attacks Goku. Goku dodges, then throws a punch that the machine dodges. Number 19 knees him hard in the stomach. Goku hits him back, then they sit there for a minute. Nineteen hits Goku in the side of the head, then smashes him hard in the side. Goku plummets, but catches himself before hitting the ground. Instinctively, Goku fires another blast. Piccolo, "Don't shoot, Goku!" Too late. Gohan, "Father..." Goku, "Damn it..." Yamucha, "He's looking in bad shape. Has that much energy been taken from him?" Goku clutches his chest and looks up at his enemy. Gohan suddenly realizes the problem. "I know! Father's ill! He's got heart disease!" Piccolo, "What?! Do you mean the viral disease the boy from the future talked about?!" Kuririn, "Goku...!" Goku makes no move to attack, and he looks like he can barely even breathe anymore. Number 19 watches him from the sky, grinning...
