Give Chase!! The Search for Dr. Gero's Mysterious Laboratory

Yajirobe, "Who... who made that huge hole?" Bulma, "See! Over there! Everyone's there! I can see Gohan there, too." Yajirobe, "You idiot! Are you sure you want to go there?" Bulma, "Sure. I bet the fight's already over. It looks like everybody's okay." The aircar descends as it continues on to the fight. "If you get any closer, I'll drop this baby." Bulma, "Huh? Go ahead then. Didn't I tell you yet? That's Vegeta's son." Yajirobe, "Veg... Vegeta? This small thing? No! This is the baby from you and Vegeta? I'll be damned." Bulma, "Oh, are you still here?" The aircar jumps forward with a sudden burst of speed.

Vegeta, "What? If that's not him, then who is it? Who is that guy?" Trunks stares down at the Artificial Human. Kuririn, "It's no big deal. The future has been changed a bit. Maybe the Artificial Humans have changed, as well." Tenshinhan, "I hope so." Artificial Human 20 finally lands again. "What should I do? How can I return to the laboratory? I can't do anything but hide in this mountain, and once that's gone, so am I." Electrical currents jump around on his stump. "Hmm?" A small spot flies far overhead. Kuririn, "Hey, that must be Bulma." Gohan turns to the quickly descending aircar. Bulma waves and greets them. Yajirobe, "Hey, be careful! There's still an Artificial Human lurking around here!" Bulma looks down at Number 20. "Dr. Gero?" Trunks, "No! Don't come over here!" Artificial Human 20, "What great timing! That's right! You can't hold me forever! Juunanagou and Juuhachigou are coming to get you guys!" Piccolo, "Juunanagou?" Vegeta, "Juuhachigou?" Everyone else simply gasps in horror. Artificial Human 20 laughs his evil laugh and throws a giant blast. When the light dies down and the dust has settled, 20 is gone. The aircar falls to the ground, empty. Nearby, Trunks holds...himself in one arm and Bulma in the other. Bulma, "Wow, that was scary. Trunks! Where is he?!" She takes the baby from the teenager. "Trunks! Oh, there you are. Thank you very much." Trunks looks up into the sky at his Super Saiya-jin father. Vegeta, "He's gone. Damn, he's run away." Gohan, "Bulma-san!" Kuririn, "Are you alright?" Bulma, "I'm fine. This boy saved my life." Kuririn lands. "That's good." And Gohan's right behind him. "Yeah, you were lucky." Vegeta, "Damn! You can't run away from me!" Trunks jumps in front of Vegeta. "Why... why didn't you help them?" Vegeta, "What?" Trunks, "They're your wife and son." Vegeta, "Forget it! I have no interest in them." They stare each other down for a few seconds, then Vegeta flies up to him and tells him to get out of the way. Vegeta flies down and lands in a crevasse. "He didn't fly away, so maybe he's trying to use the mountain. He couldn't have gotten far away."

Artificial Human 20 runs through a similar area to the very same one that Vegeta's currently examining. Bulma, "Is that the Artificial Human? That ugly old man?" Chibi Trunks starts crying. "Good boy, good boy." Kuririn, "Yeah, he was, but..." Bulma, "Okay, okay, good boy." Bulma, "He's probably Dr. Gero." Trunks thrashes wildly and then suddenly stops. "I read about him in one of the journals of scientists." And yes... Gohan and Kuririn are astonished. "That's what... I guess he's cloned a human." Yajirobe lies in a pile of rubble. "Ah, nobody cares for me." Kuririn, "Hey! Number 20, that was Dr. Gero!" Trunks and Piccolo spin around. Trunks, "Dr. Gero?" Dr. Gero continues running through the maze of the mountain. Vegeta, "What? That was Dr. Gero? What does that mean?!" Bulma, "Well, I've seen his picture before... The boy was talking about Dr. Gero. That's why I was able to recognize him." Trunks thinks about what all of this could mean. Number 20 continues on toward his lab.

Chibi Trunks is crying...again. "Good boy, good boy. That bad old man sure had an ugly face, didn't he? Dr. Gero wasn't the more famous of the scientists in the world, but he was definitely one of the greatest geniuses among them." Trunks erupts with tears and screaming again. "Okay, okay, good boy." Vegeta turns to Mirai Trunks. "Everything you told us was wrong! You told us Dr. Gero was killed by the Artificial Humans, but he's still alive." Trunks, "I think history has been changed because I've come back to the past twice now. This is all my fault." Piccolo, "Number 20, he mentioned Juunanagou and Juuhachigou. They're the Artificial Humans that you told us about, right? Tell me, what do they look like? You'll be sorry if you make another mistake." Trunks, "You're right..."
Trunks "flashes back" to the future. Two silhouette forms, one pink and one blue, dance on the black background. One of them turns into a blonde girl with shoulder length hair and a blue denim jacket with the Red Ribbon Army logo on the back. The other looks almost exactly the same, except it's a man with shoulder length black hair. Both of their eyes glow red.
"Juunanagou, he looks kind of like a boy with long black hair, and he always wears a scarf. Juuhachigou, she looks kind of like a cute girl and wears clothes a lot like my own." Kuririn, "Like a girl?" Trunks, "They both have cold eyes and earrings. " Piccolo, "Are they also able to to drain a person's power through their hands?" Trunks, "Yeah, sort of. But their power levels are infinite." Vegeta, "Infinite? You mean they never get low on power?" Chibi Trunks cries AGAIN. Bulma, "Okay, okay..." Trunks, "By the way, where is Son Goku?" Kuririn, "He suffered that heart attack like you said he would." Trunks, "It's too early. What's happened? History is getting all messed up."

Goku clutches at his chest and cries out. Chichi, "Goku-san! Come on, you can do it!" Yamucha, "I think he took the medicine too late. Come on, Goku!" Goku screams again. He tosses and turns on the bed as his heart attack racks his body with pain. Chichi, "Goku-san..."

Dr. Gero runs through the mountain (does this ever end?). "Wait for me, Vegeta and Piccolo! I'll show you the true power an Artificial Human is capable of possessing!" Bulma steps back. "What's wrong with you? Don't come any closer with that ugly face of yours, Vegeta. Trunks is crying again." Trunks...isn't crying, for once. But sure enough, right after she says it, he starts again. "Okay, okay, good boy. He's got a really ugly face, doesn't he?" Vegeta, "Bulma, since you read up on Dr. Gero in your science journals, do you know where his laboratory is located at?" Bulma, "Located? It's probably located by the mountain near the Northern Capitol. I heard a rumor of a cave that was remodeled to become a lab." Kuririn, "But he's already gone. It's too late to follow him." Vegeta, "No, it's not too late. Did anyone see him flying away?" Gohan, "I see..." Vegeta, "He's trying to use the make up of the mountain to hide. He's probably still around here somewhere." Piccolo, "So what you're saying is, you want to get to the lab before he does and destroy Juunanagou and Juuhachigou?" Vegeta, "I'm not that cowardly. I just want to fight with them. You want to know the truth? Number 20 was never much of a match for me." Trunks, "Don't do it! You're underestimating the power of the Artificial Humans. You're better off getting rid of them first, just like Piccolo said before." Vegeta starts to fly off anyway, but Trunks gets in front of him. "If you have any doubts of taking them on yourself, you'd better wait for Son Goku-san to recover." Vegeta, "There's no need to mention Kakkarotto at this time. Don't you see? I've become a Super Saiya-jin as well. I'm better than Kakkarotto. And do you know why? Because I'm the Prince of the Saiya-jin. Now get out of my sight!" He flies away. Tenshinhan, "Hey, he's gone." Piccolo, "Vegeta, as a Super Saiya-jin, you may be even stronger than Son Goku. I bet he's going to take on the Artificial Humans." Trunks, "I can become Super Saiya-jin as well, but I'm not strong enough to handle the Artificial Humans. They're way too strong. Anyway, I'm going after them, too. I don't like it, but I'm not going to lose my father twice." He flies off, leaving Bulma to wonder. "Father? Did he say father?" Chibi Trunks, "Papa..." Bulma, "What does that mean?" Piccolo, "I can't keep this secret anymore. His name is Trunks and his father is Vegeta. And... you are his mother. He's that child, but from the future." And yes, amazement follows. Bulma holds out Chibi Trunks. "I understand." Kuririn, "That's why Trunks looks so much like Vegeta. Yeah, now I see why he can become a Super Saiya-jin as well." Piccolo, "You guys should head for the lab, too, to destroy Juunanagou and Juuhachigou first. That would be the best plan." Everyone agrees and Bulma continues to examine her child. "Trunks, you've grown up to become such a great boy, haven't you? Mommy was just worried about your studies." Gohan, "Bulma-san, please tell my father to come here as soon as he gets better." Bulma, "I understand, but how can I? My plane crashed." Piccolo, "Gohan, you go back with Bulma. We can take on the Artificial Humans without you." Gohan, "Okay. Be careful." Piccolo, "Alright, let's go! We must find the Artificial Humans before Vegeta." Piccolo, Tenshinhan, and Kuririn fly off to search for the lab.

Gohan, "Okay, we're going to fly now." Bulma, "Be careful. I've got my baby with me." Yajirobe finally climbs out of his hole in the ground. "Hey! Don't leave me all alone." Gohan turns to the source of the voice. Yajirobe, "Get me up, hurry. Hurry up!"

Dr. Gero bounces from mountain to mountain as he races back to his laboratory. "I'm far enough away from them, they won't be able to find me." His sensor suddenly goes off and he stops as Vegeta flies by overhead. "Vegeta!" He drops to his knees. "Damn! He's still looking for me." Trunks flies by next. "There's that kid! He's right behind him. They're flying in the same direction as me. What? They're trying to get to my laboratory? No way. It's probably a fluke." He jumps up onto a higher ledge. "It has to be a mistake. There's no way they can know where my lab is. Only a few scientists know its location." He suddenly remembers seeing Bulma in the air car. "Ah! Bulma! She's the daughter of the Capsule Corporation! She probably heard about my lab from her father." His sensor goes off again and the Namekseijin and two humans fly past. "I think that's it. They're all heading for my lab. They're planning on destroying Juunanagou and Juuhachigou before I get there. I'll never let them do that. Because they don't know the exact location, they won't be able to find the lab so easily. I'll be there before they will." He flies off toward his lab.

Yajirobe rides on Gohan's back while he carries Bulma, who's carrying Trunks. Bulma, "Hey, Gohan, why don't you go a little faster?" Gohan, "Okay."

Trunks has almost caught up with Vegeta. He flashes back to the future and Mirai Bulma. Bulma, "Your dead father?" She sets down her tools. "He's done a lot of evil things. He's got to be in hell now. But he had some good points, too. Well, he always had his pride, and sometimes he was kind, but he never showed that side to other people. I can understand that now."

Back in the present (err, past?), the two fly to the lab. Vegeta, "He hasn't given up following me. Interesting." Vegeta speeds up and Trunks turns Super Saiya-jin in order to keep up. "I bet he can become a powerful Super Saiya-jin. He's got the blood of a Saiya-jin. He's my son, that's for sure."

Dr. Gero flies through a bat-infested forest. Bulma, "Yajirobe, it'd be better for us if you walked." Yajirobe, "Shut up!" Dr. Gero continues on through his little forest and an image of Juunanagou and Juuhachigou fades onto the screen.
