Hazardous Pride!! The Challenge to Perfect Cell

Cell growls and stares at Vegeta. The Prince of the Saiya-jin is silent. The two Artificial Humans watch from their spot against the wall. Trunks stands on a ledge a few feet away. "Father must have won it." After several seconds, Cell finally speaks. "Super Vegeta? What does that mean?" Vegeta, "I don't have time to explain it to you." He looks away. "Think about it yourself." Cell growls. "Super Vegeta is just bragging." He closes his fist so tightly, blood seeps out between his fingers. "You're killed by Artificial Human Number 17 in the future. I've already absorbed the power of Number 17. Even a kid can tell you who's stronger." He smashes his tail into the ground, creating a fissure. Vegeta, "Hmph. The weak know only how to scream, just like you. If you have time for this, why don't you save it for worrying about yourself?" He turns completely away, turning his back to Cell. "Although you are quite desperate..." That comment angers Cell. Cell starts to raise his ki. As usual, small rocks and other debris lift into the air. Vegeta remains completely calm. The ground begins to shake, but Vegeta sports a smile.

Kuririn watches the events from the sky above the island. "Cell has changed a lot. That's a whole body? He's already absorbed Number 18?" An image of Number 18 flashes in front of him and fades away. He looks down at the controller. "Looks like Bulma-san has wasted her effort. The controller is useless now."

Cell jumps back, up to a low ledge. Cell gets down on one knee. Vegeta looks back at him. Trunks, "Father's Galic Gun!" Cell, "I have your cells, too." He powers up the blast in his arms and throws it forward. "Die!" Trunks, "Father!" Vegeta takes a deep breath and turns to take the blast head on. The ground below Cell collapses. The blast hits, and Kuririn cries out when he sees the bright flash from the island. He shields his eyes. "Vegeta!" Vegeta is lost in the blast itself. Trunks shields himself from dust and light. Cell falls further to the level Vegeta's at as the ground gives way under him. The ground begins to crack and break up. The Artificial Humans shield themselves from the wind. Finally, the attack ends. Cell climbs out of the pile of rocks that he had fallen into and smiles. The dust begins to settle. Cell's laugh suddenly stops, and he gasps. Vegeta stands unharmed at the epicenter of the ki blast. Trunks sits back and smiles. Kuririn, "Vegeta is brilliant." The squirrels return to Number 16, and he makes his prediction. "Vegeta will win." Number 18, "Unbelievable." She hears a chirp and looks down to see that she herself is holding one of the small rodents that are oh-so-fond of Number 16. She holds it up, glares at it, and then drops it back on the ground. It takes a few steps, then turns around and looks back up at her.

Vegeta walks toward Cell. "Sure you have my cells, but although you can imitate the Galic Gun, it's much less powerful." Cell, "Nonsense!" Vegeta smiles. "You don't even know this. That means you're an idiot." Cell, "I can't stand it anymore!" He stands up and his aura flares up. He attacks Vegeta with a swing of his tail, but Vegeta dodges it and appears above him. He kicks Cell in the back of the head before Cell has a chance to even turn around. Cell sails back. "Impossible!" Vegeta appears behind him. A nice kick to the back sends Cell back in the other direction and high into the air. Cell, "How come?!" Vegeta appears above him and stomps right onto his stomach. Cell's eyes bulge and he screams. He falls to the ground and lands in a dust cloud and a pile of rocks. Vegeta watches from above, smiling. Kuririn, "Wow! Vegeta has limitless power! His body is bigger, too. It's different from the Vegeta in the past. He's the new Vegeta?"

Piccolo and Tenshinhan continue to follow the fight from God's Shrine. Ten, "How did Vegeta get trained in the Room of Spirit and Time?" Piccolo looks up at the sky. "I guess Son will be even stronger than Vegeta, right?" Ten, "But we don't have Son for this battle now. Vegeta can finish him by himself." Bulma bounces Trunks in the back. "Hey, Trunks! Father is really good! He can even beat Cell!" Trunks smiles and reaches out for some butterflies. One lands on his nose. Bulma, "But it's such a waste for those sleepless nights. We don't need the controller now." She looks over where Trunks is looking, toward the door to the Room of Spirit and Time.

Training continues inside the room. Son Gohan screams and raises his ki. Goku, "Gohan, get angry! Get as angry as you can!" Gohan shuts his eyes and screams louder. His hair begins to rise. "Get angry!" Gohan suddenly sits up in bed, panting. He tightens his grip on the edge of the blanket. "I fell asleep unknowingly." He climbs out of bed and walks over to the other bed, but finds it empty. "Father..." He hears a cry from out in the open area. "KAAAAA!" He walks out to see wind and debris swirling all over outside. "MEEEEEEE!" Two arms come together at the wrists, creating a cup out of the hands. Son Goku stands in the middle of the storm. Large blocks of...something (looks like ice, but I suppose it could be the white floor) rise up. "HAAAAAA! .... MEEEEEEEE!" The ki ball forms in the cup of his hands, bathing the area in blue light. "HAAAAAA!!" The Kamehameha bursts forth, drilling into a wall of what I'm pretty sure is ice. The wall doesn't give way all at once, but is slowly chipped apart. Goku's blast doesn't let up. He screams and pushes it harder, gaining some ground against the wall of ice. The blast suddenly stops, and the wall collapses. Gohan's mouth gapes open. Large chunks of ice fall on Goku. Gohan runs out. "Father!" He suddenly stops. Bright beams of light and a loud scream come from the pile of ice surrounding his father. The "walls" surrounding Goku explode. Gohan shields himself from flying debris. When everything has cleared away, Son Goku stands before Gohan as a Super Saiya-jin. His aura fades away and he returns to normal.

Son Goku turns around. "Gohan, are you awake?" Gohan walks up to him. "Father... I'm so sorry that I fell asleep." Goku turns around. "Gohan, the gravity here is ten times that of the Earth. The daily temperature is from 50 to -40 degrees. To receive training in conditions like these for a year must be too hard for a kid like you." Gohan frowns and looks at the floor. "Take a rest if you want to." Gohan, "I've had enough rest." He looks up at Goku. "Father, please train me." Goku looks down at him. "Father, teach me, please. I also want to become a Super Saiya-jin." Goku turns away. "When I first came here, I didn't have such a strong will as yours." He looks back at Gohan and smiles. "Gohan, come on." Gohan beams. "Okay!" And once again, we zoom out from the scene, except this time, there are tons of small ice mountains surrounding the living area.

Cell climbs out from under his pile of rubble. He sits on his hands and knees, breathing heavily. "Why? He should not be able to match me. What happened? How come Vegeta became so powerful?" He looks up as Vegeta lands on a ledge above him. Vegeta smirks at him. Cell stares up at him, growling furiously. Number 18 watches from her tree, still amazed at what she's seeing. Cell staggers to his feet and takes a few steps forward. The ground breaks under the force of his walking. "How come? Damn it! This is impossible!" Vegeta, "What an idiot." Cell, "I won't lose to you!" He throws his head back and screams. Part of the rock wall behind Vegeta crumbles.

Cell suddenly appears behind Vegeta and throws a punch. Vegeta catches it with ease and his aura reappears. He grabs Cell by the arm and throws him through two mountains before Cell finally hits the ground. Vegeta grins. His aura goes away again. Trunks, "Totally unmatchable. The difference between their powers is too huge. It's completely changed the history of our future." Kuririn stares in astonishment. He looks over. "That's...Trunks? Looks like he's grown much bigger. He's totally different now. Such a big change in a day. The Room of Spirit and Time is so amazing."

"Lift your left foot..." On TV at Kame House is, of course, an exercise show led by women. They dance on screen, lifting their legs into the air. "One, two, one, two..." The channel changes to a news station. "This is South America." (?!?!, must be some bad subbing, but I can't understand Japanese well enough to say what it really is). The channel changes again to a small boat out in a lake somewhere, and the newscaster's voice is replaced by a female voice. "We have had a very peaceful day today." Yamucha turns off the television. "Looks like we don't have any last minute news." Chaouzu stares out the window. "Ten-san, what is he doing?" Chichi and Yamucha look over at Chaouzu. Chichi, "We have Goku-san there, so don't worry. Goku-san must be able to handle it." Chaouzu looks down. "I hope Ten-san will do better, too." Yamucha, "But Muten Roshi-sama is indeed marvelous. He's so relaxed even at this time." Kamesennin sleeps nearby, a snot-bubble inflating and deflating on his right nostril as he breathes. Chichi, "He's amazing. Anyway, he's having some pornographic dreams." The bubble suddenly pops and Roshi is startled awake. Chichi looks up. "Goku-san, don't have worries on your mind. Come on, do your best. Get rid of Cell so Gohan-chan can continue to study." Yamucha, "Gohan has such a good mother." Chichi looks at him. "Right, everyone says so." Yamucha laughs nervously.

Vegeta flies up and backward. Cell follows. Vegeta yells and throws a ki blast at Cell. Cell grunts and plunges into the sea below. Vegeta follows up with more ki blast, alternating between hands as he throws. He stops and charges up, then raises his hands above his head, screams, and throws a final blast. The ensuing explosion is huge, and of course, the entire area turns blue/white until it fades. Vegeta grins.

He lands on a rock and looks out over the ocean. Cell doesn't come up. "Has he escaped?" Suddenly, Cell flies up right behind him. Vegeta flips over and grabs him by the ankles. "You're the one who's going to die. I want to have the best dish." He starts swinging his tail out to absorb Vegeta, but Vegeta swings from side to side, dodging the tail. Vegeta catches the tail between his arm and torso. Cell yells, and then Vegeta says something that's not subbed. Cell, "I have to absorb you!" He tries to pull his tail back, but Vegeta keeps a tight grip on it. Vegeta smiles and his aura returns. Cell frees his tail when Vegeta moves his arm to deliver a crushing elbow. Cell screams and loses his grip on Vegeta's legs. He falls, but Vegeta catches him by the face. "You think I'm going to let you absorb me?" Cell doesn't respond. Vegeta jumps up and punches Cell. Cell skips across the water before smashing into a rock sticking out of the water. He slides down the rock face and into the water. Trunks, "This is good. If this goes on, Father will beat Cell and Number 18 and Number 16 will be fine, and we don't need Son Goku-san and Gohan-san to help us." Number 18 is wide-eyed, of course. "Incredible..." Number 16 is, of course, silent. Kuririn, "No way to match..." Cell emerges from the water. Vegeta laughs. Cell growls and gasps for air. Vegeta simply grins at him.
